Moves

Zing Zap allows Togedemaru to deal with Archeops, Floatzel, and Swanna and has a flinch chance. Iron Head allows Togedemaru to hit many foes that resist Zing Zap, such as Abomasnow, Drampa, and Lilligant, for either super effective or neutral damage and comes with a flinch chance too. U-turn gives Togedemaru the option to pivot out of common switch-ins like Gastrodon, Lanturn, and Palossand that it struggles to break with its STAB moves. Toxic lets Togedemaru cripple the aforementioned Electric-immune Pokemon instead of pivoting and also helps it hit common checks such as Eelektross.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack and Speed EVs combined with a Jolly nature and a Choice Scarf allow Togedemaru to effectively revenge kill both unboosted and boosted foes, such as Archeops, Lycanroc, +1 Jynx, and Choice Scarf Primeape. Lightning Rod gives Togedemaru the ability to disrupt Volt Switch users such as Zebstrika, Lanturn, and Choice Scarf Manectric, forcing them to play mind games against it.

Usage Tips
========

Togedemaru functions as a good revenge killer as it's able to outspeed Choice Scarf Primeape, +1 Jynx, and +1 Lilligant; it is also a fantastic pivot thanks to U-turn. Togedemaru can use Toxic against predicted common switch-ins and cripple them instead of using U-turn, and it can even sacrifice itself when it's no longer needed in order to cripple the opposing Pokemon. However, Togedemaru should be cautious locking itself into Toxic, as it can be a momentum drain if the opponent switches in something like Skuntank or Probopass; Probopass is especially threatening due to its ability to trap Togedemaru. Togedemaru can utilize Lightning Rod to force mind games against Volt Switch users by threatening loss of momentum if they pick incorrectly, especially if Choice-locked like Choice Scarf Manectric and Choice Specs Lanturn. Unlike non-Choice (AH) Scarf sets, Choice Scarf Togedemaru outspeeds foes like Archeops and Lycanroc that are usually able to revenge kill it. Finally, an immunity to Toxic and Toxic Spikes, along with a resistance to Stealth Rock, lets it pivot frequently throughout the match.

Team Options
========

Special attackers like Pyroar and Oricorio-G function as good teammates for Togedemaru, as they break down physical walls, such as Palossand and Sableye, and they also appreciate Togedemaru's ability to pivot and deal with faster foes like Lycanroc and Archeops. Oricorio-G can also set up on several foes that Togedemaru lures in like Weezing and Type: Null. Mesprit is a fantastic partner for Togedemaru, as it provides a slow U-turn, a check to Fighting-types like Gurdurr and Hitmonchan, a Ground immunity, Healing Wish support, and entry hazard support in Stealth Rock. In return, Togedemaru is capable of dealing with strong special attackers like Aurorus and Oricorio-G that usually cause Mesprit a lot of problems, and it also provides a fast U-turn. Fighting-types like Hitmonchan can break the Steel-types such as Ferroseed that are able to completely wall Togedemaru. In return, Togedemaru can soft check Psychic-types like Musharna and defensive Mesprit with a combination of its STAB attacks and Toxic. Finally, Eelektross is a solid choice, as it offers a Ground immunity, is able to break common Togedemaru checks like Gastrodon, Palossand, and Gourgeist-XL, and offers a slow Volt Switch to get Togedemaru in for free. Togedemaru supports Eelektross by checking physical Normal-types like Kangaskhan and Zangoose and badly poisoning walls such as Miltank and Musharna.

  • Iron Head allows Togedemaru to hit i mean not all of them, just many elec resists foes that resist Zing Zap, such as Abomasnow, Drampa, and Lilligant, for either super effective or neutral damage while also having a chance to flinch.
  • U-turn gives Togedemaru the option to pivot on common switch-ins like Gastrodon, Lanturn, and Palossand, all of which it struggles to break with its STAB moves.
  • Toxic lets Togedemaru cripple the aforementioned switch-ins, instead of pivoting, and also helps it hit foes such as Eelektross that are used as common checks to it. but the aforementioned switchins are common checks, so what's the difference. if you want to give new examples u can, but this just doesnt make sense

Set Details

  • Maximum Attack and Speed EVs combined with a Jolly nature and a Choice Scarf allow Togedemaru to effectively revenge kill both unboosted and boosted foes, like +1 Jynx, +1 Lilligant, and Choice Scarf Primeape. if ur gonna say boosted and unboosted, why only mention boosted
  • Lightning Rod gives Togedemaru the ability to disrupt Volt Switch users such as Choice Scarf Manectric, Alolan Raichu, and Lanturn, forcing them to play mind games against it. alolachu isnt much of a volter rly, minor thing

Usage Tips
========
  • good revenge killer, outspeeds +1 jynx and lilligant along with scarf ape yeah but that doesnt actually tell you how to use it. if you said to use it as a revenge killer for boosted threats, that's different
  • nice pivot thanks to choice scarf and unblockable pivoting move
  • toxic can be used vs common switchins and cripple them instead of turning, even can sacrifice itself if needed (fk hjad) i feel like something about wanting to predict with it, or not locking your scarf mon into toxic willy nilly, or something should be here
  • lightning rod can be useful to force mind games like how
  • outspeeds things that outspeed the other sets like arch and lycan
  • immunity to toxic (spikes) and resistance to sr lets it pivot a lot
Team Options

there's a difference between my grammar sucks and i haven't bothered to go into detail. like this is still nitpicking very hard, ur analysis is good, just saying that this isnt an excuse for how TO and UT are. the grammar there is totally fine, i woudlnt expect people to have better before 2/3, I just want to clarify that those nitpicks are focused on actual content issues not grammar related things. or maybe im reading too far into "DONT GP ME!!" idk
