[OVERVIEW]
  • Advantageous Speed tier: ties with Jynx, Primeape, Sawsbuck, Silvally while outspeeding key threats like Lilligant, Zangoose, and Oricorio-G
  • Dual STABs provide near perfect coverage and are only resisted by Skuntank and Pawniard; for this reason, it's adept in breaking down balanced builds and is difficult to wall completely
  • Faces competition from Oricorio-G in teambuilding as an offensive Ghost-type, but is used for the offensive utility it provides: spinblocking, as well as removing or crippling threats with Destiny Bond, Trick, and Will-O-Wisp
  • Paper thin-defenses prevent it from making better use of its immunities to Ground-, Normal-, and Fighting-type attacks given it can be easily KOed by coverage moves like Hitmonchan's Ice Punch or Primeape's Stone Edge if it mispredicts
  • Susceptible to priority users, especially those that force it into mind-games via access to Pursuit like Skuntank and Spiritomb
  • Pressured by faster attackers like Pyroar and Archeops

Team Options
========
  • Protects entry hazards for Ferroseed, Crustle, Leavanny, Smeargle
  • Lures or weakens Skuntank significantly with coverage or Destiny Bond; Ghost- and Psychic-types like Mesprit, Jynx, Shiftry, Oricorio-G all greatly benefit from Skuntank's removal. KOing Skuntank also leaves the opponent unable to remove entry hazards, especially Toxic Spikes, which is conducive to wearing down teams with Weezing's Toxic Spikes or Ferroseed's Spikes.
