[OVERVIEW]

Liepard is extremely versatile and unpredictable thanks to its plethora of viable sets such as Choice Band, Nasty Plot, and weather support. As a result of these sets' offensive nature, Liepard fits mostly on offensively based teams that appreciate its good Speed Tier and prowess. Liepard has access to Prankster, as well as useful offensive tools such as Pursuit, Sucker Punch, and Knock Off, allowing it to cripple teams. Despite these positives, Liepard has a notable flaw in the fact that its low Attack stat is low even when supplemented so it, struggles to break past bulky foes such as Weezing. Additionally, Liepard has mediocre bulk and is weak to common Fighting- and Fairy-type attacks. Without the proper coverage, it can struggle to retaliate against foes that use these moves. Lastly, Liepard is a prediction-reliant Pokemon, and being Choice-locked into Sucker Punch can be costly because it can give the opponent free turns to set up.

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Pursuit
move 3: Play Rough
move 4: U-turn / Sucker Punch / Copycat
item: Choice Band
ability: Prankster / Limber
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Knock Off is Liepard's strongest STAB attack and has the utility of removing the foe's item. Pursuit is used to trap Pokemon such as Choice-locked Mesprit and Haunter. Play Rough gives solid coverage versus Fighting- and Dark-types such as Primeape, Gurdurr, Sableye, and Guzzlord, which would otherwise wall Liepard. U-turn allows Liepard to pivot out on checks like Weezing, which gives its team momentum. Sucker Punch is a powerful priority attack against Pokemon that can outspeed Liepard. Lastly, Copycat allows Liepard to revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Lycanroc and Jynx, but only if used with Prankster.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack investment with a Choice Band allows Liepard to be as powerful as possible. Maximum Speed investment with Jolly nature ensures that Liepard outspeeds base 105 Speed Pokemon such as Manectric. Black Glasses over Choice Band can work, since Liepard spams Knock Off most of the time. Prankster gives Liepard's support moves priority. Limber protects Liepard from being crippled by Thunder Wave.

Usage Tips
========

Choice Band turns Liepard into a prediction-reliant Pokemon. Liepard should use Knock Off to remove foes' items early-game. However, be careful when using Dark-type moves against Psychic-types like Mesprit and Musharna because they sometimes carry Colbur Berry to weaken them; in Musharna's case, its potential Z-Crystal reduces Knock Off damage and its Z-Move can OHKO Liepard back. Bringing Liepard in on predicted Psychic-type attacks from Mesprit or choice-locked Ghost-type attacks from Oriocorio-G and Haunter is ideal for Pursuit trapping. Be wary when locking Liepard into Sucker Punch because setup sweepers like Carracosta can take advantage of it it. Liepard should pivot out on its hard counters with U-turn.

Team Options
========

Weezing makes a good partner for Liepard because it covers Liepard's weakness to Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-type attacks. Hitmonchan and Mespirt also make good partners because Mesprit is a Fighting-type check and Hitmonchan removes hazards. In return, Liepard can Pursuit trap Ghost-type Pokemon such as Haunter for them. Pokemon with access to Volt Switch, such as Manetric and Alolan Raichu, pair well with Liepard because they form VoltTurn cores. Lastly, entry hazard support from Ferroseed or Qwilfish is preferred, since it makes up for Liepard's low Attack and dissuades Defog from weakened foes, which can be Pursuit trapped or pivoted on it.

[SET]
name: Nasty Plot
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Dark Pulse
move 3: Encore
move 4: Copycat
item: Black Glasses / Leftovers
ability: Prankster
nature: Timid
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Nasty Plot boosts Liepard's Special Attack to decent levels. Dark Pulse is Liepard's strongest special STAB attack and has a chance to make the foe flinch. Encore is perfect for Liepard, since it gives Liepard a chance to set up freely once a foe is locked into a non-threatening move. Copycat allows Liepard to use Dark Pulse as a form of priority due to Prankster and beat faster foes such as Jynx and Lycanroc.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack investment allows Liepard to hit as hard as possible and be as fast as possible. Black Glasses is used to boost the power of Liepard's Dark Pulse. Alternatively, Leftovers gives Liepard passive recovery at the cost of significant power loss on a Pokemon that's already fairly weak.

Usage Tips
========

Liepard should lock foes into setup moves or status moves using Encore. Liepard should use Nasty Plot on resisted attacks or after locking a foe with Encore. Copycat gives Liepard's attacks priority, so it should be used immediately after an attack. Since Liepard's only attacking move is Dark Pulse, it should be preserved until late-game, when its checks are eliminated from the battle.

Team Options
========

Mesprit and Musharna make good partners because they can remove Fighting-types and Liepard apperciates Healing Wish support from the former. Pokemon that can switch into Fighting-, Bug- and Fairy-type attacks, such as Weezing also pair well with Liepard. Weezing can also set Toxic Spikes, which will hinder Liepard's checks futher. Liepard appreciates residual damage on its foes due to its lack of power, so entry hazard users such as Ferroseed and Qwilfish work well with it. Qwilfish in particular makes a good partner because it wears down Hitmonchan and Primeape . Alolan Raichu and Jynx make good partners for Liepard since they check Fighting-types and break through physically defensive Pokemon.

[SET]
name: Weather
move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Rain Dance / Sunny Day
move 3: Encore / Thunder Wave
move 4: U-turn
item: Heat Rock / Damp Rock
ability: Prankster
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Knock Off is Liepard's best STAB attack and is helpful for removing items from Pokemon such as Ferroseed, which disrupts rain. Rain Dance summons rain for 8 turns with Damp Rock, while Sunny Day summons sun for 8 turns with Heat Rock. Encore can be used by Liepard to lock its foes into non-threatening moves, then take advantage of them by bringing in weather sweepers and attackers with U-turn. Thunder Wave is another option that can be used to slow down faster foes.

Set Details
========

Damp Rock and Heat Rock give 8 turns of weather to a team. Prankster gives priority to Sunny Day and Rain Dance, ensuring Liepard can set the weather quickly. Maximum Speed with a Jolly nature ensures that Liepard is faster than every other Prankster user. Maximum Attack investment gives Liepard some offensive presence and power behind a Knock Off.

Usage Tips
========

Once Liepard sets the weather, it should exit battle as soon as possible in order to let its team take advantage of as many weather turns as possible. Do not use Liepard as a lead for weather teams; Liepard should be preserved because it has great utility in setting up weather, so your best bet is to send it in whenever the weather is needed or is about to expire. Liepard isn't bulky at all, so don't switch it in mindlessly. Liepard's Dark typing allows it to be immune to Prankster moves such as Sableye's Will-O-Wisp, so feel free to switch it in on Sableye or any other passive Pokemon.

Team Options
========

Liepard should be paired with weather sweepers such as Kabutops and Ludicolo on rain teams or Victreebel and Exeggutor on sun teams. Electric-types such as Manetric can be used on rain teams to take advantage of Thunder's perfect accuracy in the rain. Mespirt works well with Liepard because it can set up Stealth Rock and pivot with U-turn. Other Stealth Rock users, most notably Golem and Regirock, should be used for sun teams because they provide good role compression. Pokemon like Pyroar and Magmortar should be paired with Sunny Day Liepard because they take advantage of their Fire-type attacks being boosted by the sun.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Life Orb set can be used over Choice Band if Liepard doesn't want to be Choice-locked but would apperciate the extra power behind its coverage moves. Seed Bomb can be used to hit bulky Rock-types like Golem and Carracosta. Trick cripples bulky walls that try to switch in on Liepard such as Weezing and Audino. Taunt similary enables Liepard to cripple passive Pokemon like Audino. Fairium Z can also be used as a tool to hit Fighting-types harder. A bulkier EV spread for Weather sets can be used to slightly increase Liepard's longevity, but Liepard has inherently mediocre bulk, so it often isn't worth it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and Poliwrath can hit Liepard with super effective priority attacks, but have to be wary of Play Rough.

**Faster and Stronger Pokemon**: Due to Liepard's mediocre defensive stats, any Pokemon that is faster, stronger, and isn't weak to Sucker Punch can check it. Some examples of such threats include Pyroar and Lycanroc.

**Weather Setters**: Weather setters such as Abomasnow and Hippopotas are able to disrupt Liepard's weather set by replacing the weather that Liepard sets for its teammates.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Liepard is a Pokemon that is extremly versatile and unpredictable thanks to its numerous sets I'd mention here how prankster helps with the versatility, especially with the latter two sets
  • Pursuit, Sucker, and Strong knock off makes Liepard a good choice for offensive teams - Say Sucker Punch and not just sucker
  • has some draw backs in its attack stat even when holding a choice band
  • immune to prankster moves Explain why this is relevant, e.g. Sableyes Will-o-Wisp is unable to burn the Band set
  • being choiced locked especially into sucker punch can be costly
  • weak to fighting and struggles vs fairy-types if it lacks the proper coverage to deal with them
  • mediocre bulk

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Pursuit
move 3: Play Rough
move 4: Sucker Punch / U-turn / Gunk Shot / Copycat - I'd definitely swap U-turn and Sucker Punch around here, because U-turn is a crucial pivoting move that doesn't leave it in an undesirable situation.
item: Choice Band
ability: Limber / Prankster Unless you're using Copycat there's no reason to use Prankster over Limber here
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Moves
========
  • Knock Off is Liepard's strongest STAB attack that also has the utility of removing the foe's item.
  • Pursuit traps Pokemon such as Mesprit and Haunter and deals more damage to them if they try to switch out.
  • Play Rough gives solid coverage versus Fighting- and Dark-types such as Primeape, Gurdurr and Sableye
  • Sucker Punch is powerful priority against Pokemon that can outspeed Liepard
  • U-turn gives Liepard momentum, allowing it to pivot out on its checks.
  • Gunk Shot can be used to 2HKO Fairy-types such as Granbull and Togetic - Mention specifically after Stealth Rock damage in the case of Granbull, which lives from full (98% chance to live)
  • Talk about Copycat here and how it lets it potentially revenge faster mons, such as Primeape, Lycanroc etc.
Set Details
========
  • 252 Attack Evs with an Adamant nature and a Choice Band allows Liepard to be as powerful as possible
  • 252 Speed Evs with a Jolly nature ensures that Liepard outspeeds base 105 Speed Pokemon
  • Prankster allows Liepard to be immune to Priority Dark-type attacks, most notably Sableye This is wrong, its Dark typing allows it to be immune to Prankster status moves
Usage Tips
========
  • Use Knock Off to remove the held items of foes early game
  • Bring Liepard in on predicted Psychic-type attacks from Mespirt and Pursuit trap it, but be careful when doing so because Mesprit can use U-turn
  • Be Wary when locking Liepard into Sucker Punch because it can lead to free setup which is costly
  • Pivot out on Liepard's hard counters with U-turn
  • Be careful when using Dark-type moves versus Psychic-types like Mesprit and Musharna because they can carry Colbur Berries - Or in the case of Musharna, potentially has a z-move which weakens the base power of Knock Off
  • Mention that Liepard can also Pursuit trap Ghost-types
Team Options
========
  • Liepard is weak to Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-types so Pokemon like Weezing make good partners.
  • Weezing also provides Toxic Spike support which is apperciated since it helps ware down Liepards foes
  • Hitmonchan apperciates Pursuit trapping support from Liepard - and Liepard benefits from Hazard removal due to things like Toxic Spikes hindering its ability to pivot well
  • Pokemon with access to Volt Switch such as Manetric and Alolan Raichu are good partners that form Volt Turn cores
  • Entry Hazard support is good since it makes up for Liepards lack of attack and dissuades Defog on weaknd foes which can be pursuited or U-turned on by Liepard Like?

  • Mention Dark Z breaking past checks
  • Mention Leftovers for passive recovery
Usage Tips
========
  • Liepard should lock foes into attacks that give it free set up with Encore - I'd say set-up moves or status moves rather than attacks, as bar a Psychic attack Liepard is unable to take hits due to its lacklustre bulk
  • Use Nasty Plot on resisted attacks or after locking a foe into Encore
  • Since Liepard's only attacking move is Dark Pulse it should be saved lategame or when its checks are eliminated from the field
Team Options

Since Sableye doesn't resist Dark to begin with, perhaps a better example for a Dark-type Play Rough target would be Guzzlord or something.

Also Jynx is not faster than Liepard, so you need to specify Choice Scarf Jynx, thought you'd rather Sucker Punch that anyway so maybe list some other target.

  • Liepard's Dark-typing allows it to be immune to Prankster Dark-type attacks such as Sableye's Will-O-Wisp that isnt something you'd mention here either. it's more of a usage tip. also u don't mention the abilities at all, which is especially important since u gotta make the distinction of when to run limber and when to run prankster
also blackglasses here instead of OO imo

Usage Tips
========
  • Use Knock Off to remove the held items of foes early game
  • Bring Liepard in on predicted Psychic-type attacks from Mespirt and Pursuit trap it, but be careful when doing so because Mesprit can use U-turn this feels a little constrictive, in general u wanna pursuit mesprit but "bring into psychic and click pursuit" is a little reductive imo. ig it's fine tho
  • Be Wary when locking Liepard into Sucker Punch because it can lead to free setup which is costly
  • Pivot out on Liepard's hard counters with U-turn
  • Be careful when using Dark-type moves versus Psychic-types like Mesprit and Musharna because they can carry Colbur Berries and in Musharna's case it's Z-move can reduce Knock Off damage and OHKO Liepard back.
  • Use Liepard to Pursuit trap Ghost-types such as Oricorio-G and Haunter. this kinda just goes w/mes huh
ig the main thing id wanna get across here is that band turns liepard into a much more prediction reliant mon, and one that must be carefully played. u /sorta/ get there with the sucker point but not really. also talk about how to use copycat

Team Options
========
  • Liepard is weak to Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-types so Pokemon like Weezing make good partners. Weezing also provides Toxic Spike support which is apperciated since it helps ware down Liepards foes and weezing deals with fairy-types if Liepard lacks Gunk Shot
  • Hitmonchan apperciates Pursuit trapping support from Liepard and Liepard benefits from Hazard removal due to Toxic Spikes hindering its abillity to pivot efficiently
  • Pokemon with access to Volt Switch such as Manetric and Alolan Raichu are good partners that form Volt Turn cores
  • Entry Hazard support is good since it makes up for Liepards lack of attack and dissuades Defog on weaknd foes which can be pursuited or U-turned on by Liepard
mention more fighting checks than just weezing pls

  • Nasty Plot boosts Liepard's Special Attack to high levels high levels is the kind of vague phrase i don't like to use, especially when it aint that strong (+2 leftovers dark pulse is weaker than +1 life orb lilligant) , allowing it to OHKO many offensive Pokemon
  • Dark Pulse is Liepard's strongest STAB move when using Nasty Plot that has a chance to flinch it's liepard's best stab move. it is also its strongest special stab move. it also has a chance to flinch. somewhere those points got overlapped in a weird way
  • Copycat allows Liepard to use Dark Pluse as a form of priority due to Prankster and beat faster things
  • Encore Prankster is perfect for Liepard since it prankster i assume? specify, too many its here gives it Priority and a chance to Set Up freely. also why are u capitalizing random stuff? not an issue just odd

  • Electric-types such as Manetric can be used on rain teams to take advantage of using Thunder in the Rain, and also being immune to Electric-type attacks in general really u could simplify this a lot by saying just ur standard rain/sun fare and quickly running through things like additional weather setters and weather sweepers. this is all still good tho
  • Additional weather setters such as Mespirt work well. Mesprit can also setup Stealth Rock and pivot

**Fighting-types** Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and Poliwrath check Liepard but have to be wary of Play Rough, they both have access to Super Effective prioirty attacks this is all right but the grammar is painful

**Fairy-types** Fairy-types such as Granbull and Togekiss wall Liepard but have to be careful for Gunk Shot

**Priority** Liepard isnt buky at all, so Prioirty moves such as Mach Punch, Quick Attack from Zangoose and Lycanroc's Accelrock check it
just call it faster pokemon imo, no need to specify strong
**Faster and Stronger Pokemon** Due to Liepard's mediocre defensive stats, any Pokemon that is faster and stronger and isn't weak to Sucker Punch can check it. Examples include Pyroar and Lycanroc.

**Weather Setters** Weather Setters such as Abomasnow and Hippopotas are able to disrupt Liepard's Weather set

[OVERVIEW]
Liepard is extremely versatile and unpredictable thanks to its plethora of viable sets such as Offensive Pivot, Choice Band, Nasty Plot, and Weather Support. As a result, Liepard fits mostly on offensively based teams because of its good speed tier and prowess. Liepard has access to Prankster, which makes all of Liepard's moves gain priority. Pursuit, Sucker Punch and Knock Off are offensive tools that allow Liepard to cripple teams. Despite these attributes, Liepard has some notable flaws in the fact that its Attack stat is low even when equipped with a Choice Band, and because of this Liepard struggles to break past bulky foes such as Weezing. Additionally, Liepard has mediocre bulk and it's weak to common Fighting- and Fairy-types attacks and can struggle to retaliate if it lacks the proper coverage to deal with them. Lastly, Liepard is a prediction reliant Pokemon and being Choice-locked into Sucker Punch can be costly when using Liepard because it can allow free setup to the opponent.

Knock Off is Liepard's strongest STAB attack that has the utility of removing the foe's item. Pursuit is used to trap Pokemon such as choice-locked Mesprit and Haunter. Play Rough gives solid coverage versus Fighting- and Dark-types such as Primeape, Gurdurr, Sableye, and Guzzlord. U-turn gives Liepard momentum, which allows it to pivot out on checks like Weezing. Sucker Punch is a powerful priority attack against Pokemon that can outspeed Liepard. Lastly, Copycat allows Liepard to revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Lycanroc and Jynx but only if you use Prankster over Limber.

Maximum Attack investment with a Choice Band allows Liepard to be as powerful as possible. Maximum Speed investment with Jolly nature ensures that Liepard outspeeds base 105 Speed Pokemon. Black Glasses can work over Choice Band since Liepard spams Knock Off most of the time and the unnecessary recoil can be beneficial long term. Prankster gives Liepard's support moves priority. Additionally, Limber can protectLiepard from being crippled by Thunder Wave, however, this set is best used with Prankster. (Don't you mean the other way around? TONE touched on this)

Usage Tips

Choice Band turns Liepard into a prediction reliant Pokemon. Liepard should use Knock Off to remove the held items of foes early game. However, be careful when using Dark-type moves versus Psychic-types like Mesprit and Musharna because they can carry Colbur Berries and in Musharna's case, it's Z-move can reduce Knock Off damage and OHKO Liepard back(GC will touch on this i know but the comma is poorly placed. need another comma or rework the sentence). Bringing Liepard in on predicted Psychic-type attacks from Mesprit or choice-locked Ghost-type attacks from Oriocorio-G and Haunter is ideal for Pursuit trapping. Be wary when locking Liepard into Sucker Punch because it can lead to free setup which can be costly(might be worth it to explain why that happens. we are catering to newer players afterall). Liepard should pivot out on its hard counters with U-turn. Lastly, use Copycat directly after using ?Dark Pulse? since it gains priority thanks to Prankster.

Team Options
========
Weezing makes a good partner for Liepard because it covers its Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-type weakness. Weezing can also provide Toxic Spikes support which Liepard appreciates since it helps wear down its foes easier. Hitmonchan and Mespirt also make good partners because Mesprit is a Fighting-type check and Hitmonchan deters hazards. Additionally, Liepard can pursuit trap Ghost-type Pokemon such as Haunter for them. Pokemon with access to Volt Switch such as Manetric and Alolan Raichu pair well with Liepard because they form Volt-Turn cores. Usage Tips

Liepard should lock foes into set up moves or Status moves that give it free set up with its Encore. Liepard should use Nasty Plot on resisted attacks or after locking a foe into Encore (cant this be 1 sentence?). Knock Off is Liepard's only STAB attack that can remove an item from foes(so what? why not Dark Pulse or Foul Play). Rain Dance summons Rain for 8 turns with Damp Rock while Sunny Day summons Sun for 8 turns with Heat Rock for its teammates. Encore can be used on Liepard to lock its foes into moves, then take advantage of them by clicking U-turn and bringing in weather abusers. Thunder Wave is another option that can be used to slow faster foes down.

Set Details

Damp Rock and Heat Rock give 8 turns of weather to a team. Prankster gives priority to Sunny Day and Rain Dance. Maximum Speed with a Jolly nature ensures that Liepard is faster than every Prankster user. Maximum Attack investment gives Liepard an offensive presence.

Usage Tips
========
Once Liepard sets weather it should exit battle as soon as possible in order to take advantage of Weather turns(how does exiting take advantage of weather turns?). Liepard should be preserved since it has great utility in setting up weather, so your best bet is to send it in whenever the weather is needed or is about to expire. Be wary that Liepard isn't bulky at all, so don't switch in Liepard mindlessly. Liepard's Dark-typing allows it to be immune to Prankster Dark-type attacks such as Sableye's Will-O-Wisp so feel free to switch it in on Sableye or any other passive Pokemon. (i have a feeling that people will want to lead with liepard on their weather teams. would u recommend that or no?)

Team Options
========
Liepard should be paired with weather abusers such as Kabutops and Ludicolo on rain teams. Pair Liepard with Victreebel and Exeggutor on sun teams. Electric-types such as Manetric can be used on rain teams to take advantage of using Thunder in the Rain. Being immune to Electric-type attacks, in general, makes Manetic good glue on Rain teams (unnecessary, this is supposed to be about liepard). Additional weather setters such as Mespirt work well since it can setup Stealth Rock and pivot with U-turn. Stealth Rock users most notably Golem and Regirock should be used for Sun teams. Lastly, Pokemon like Charizard and Pyroar fit on Sun because they take advantage of their moves being boosted in it. (this entire paragraph feels like u r describing how to make a weather team moreso than how liepard fits into one. granted this paragraph is usable as is, but its somewhat unclear as to how liepard and these mons compliment each other.)

A Lifeorb set can be used over Choice Band if Liepard doesn't want to be choice locked. Seed Bomb can be used to hit bulky Rock-types like Golem and Carracosta. Trick cripples bulky walls such as Weezing and Audino that try to switch in on Liepard. Taunt also enables Liepard to cripple passive Pokemon such as Audino. Alternatively, Fairium Z can also be used to bluff being choice locked (is that the only reason to use Fairium?). A bulkier EV spread for Weather sets can be used to slightly increase Liepard's longevity, but Liepard already has mediocre bulk in general so it isn't worth it.

(add space)Choice Band turns Liepard into a prediction-reliant (AH) Pokemon. Liepard should use Knock Off to remove the held items of foes's items early-game (AH). However, be careful when using Dark-type moves versus against Psychic-types like Mesprit and Musharna, (AC) because they can sometimes carry Colbur Berries to weaken them; (ASC) and in Musharna's case, it's (remove apostrophe) potential Z-move and associated Z-crystal can reduces Knock Off damage and can OHKO Liepard back. Bringing Liepard in on predicted Psychic-type attacks from Mesprit or choice-locked Ghost-type attacks from Oriocorio-G and Haunter is ideal for Pursuit trapping. However, be wary when locking Liepard into Sucker Punch because Shell Smash users (are you specifically talking about Shell Smash users or all setup here?) like Carracosta can take advantage of it it. If not, remove "Liepard appreciates, since it" and change "its" to "Liepard's") Hitmonchan and Mespirt also make good partners because Mesprit is a Fighting-type check and Hitmonchan deters removes hazards. Pokemon with access to Volt Switch, (AC) such as Manetric and Alolan Raichu, (AC) pair well with Liepard because they form Volt-Turn (RH) cores. Taunt also enables Liepard to cripple passive Pokemon like Audino. Alternatively, Fairium Z can also be used to bluff being choice locked and can be used as a tool to hit Fighting-types harder. A bulkier EV spread for Weather sets can be used to slightly increase Liepard's longevity, but Liepard already has mediocre bulk, (AC) in general so it often isn't worth it.

.Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types** Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and Poliwrath can hit Liepard with super effecive priority attacks, but have to be wary of Play Rough. (add period)

**Fairy-types** Fairy-types such as Granbull and Togetic wall Liepard, (AC) but have to be careful for Gunk Shot. (add period) (This is the first mention of Gunk Shot in the whole analysis, did you mean to add it in OO?)

**Faster and Stronger Pokemon** Due to Liepard's mediocre defensive stats, any Pokemon that is faster, (AC) and stronger, (AC) and isn't weak to Sucker Punch can check it. Some examples of such threats include Pyroar and Lycanroc.

**Weather Setters** Weather Setters such as Abomasnow and Hippopotas are able to disrupt Liepard's weather set by getting rid of replacing the weather that Liepard sets for its teammates.

I have a fair number of comments that should be addressed, so let me know if you have any questions or need me to look over something again.

[OVERVIEW]

Liepard is extremely versatile and unpredictable thanks to its plethora of viable sets such as Choice Band, Nasty Plot, and weather support. As a result of these sets' offensive nature, Liepard fits mostly on offensively based teams because of that appreciate its good Speed tier and prowess. (is that really the best word to use? you soon say that its Attack is disappointingly low) Liepard has access to Prankster, (comma) which makes all of its status moves gain priority, as well as useful offensive tools such as Pursuit, Sucker Punch, and Knock Off, (comma) allowing it to cripple teams. Despite these positives, Liepard has a notable flaw in the fact that its low Attack stat, (comma) is low even when equipped supplemented with a Choice Band, and because of this Liepard so it struggles to break past bulky foes such as Weezing. Additionally, Liepard has mediocre bulk and is weak to common Fighting- and Fairy-types attacks. Without the proper coverage, it can struggle to retaliate against foes that use these moves. Lastly, Liepard is a prediction-reliant Pokemon, and being Choice-locked into Sucker Punch can be costly because it can give to the opponent free turns to set up.

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Pursuit
move 3: Play Rough
move 4: U-turn / Sucker Punch / Copycat
item: Choice Band
ability: Prankster / Limber
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Moves
========

(per) U-turn allows Liepard to pivot out on checks like Weezing, which gives its team momentum. Sucker Punch is a powerful priority attack against Pokemon that can outspeed Liepard. Lastly, Copycat allows Liepard to revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Lycanroc and Jynx, but only if used with Prankster over Limber.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack investment with a Choice Band allows Liepard to be as powerful as possible. Maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature ensures that Liepard outspeeds base 105 Speed Pokemon such as Manectric. Black Glasses works over Choice Band can work, since Liepard spams Knock Off most of the time. If using the move, (what move?) Prankster gives Liepard's support moves priority. Additionally, Limber protects Liepard from being crippled by Thunder Wave, (comma) but even though this set works best with Prankster. (how so? only Copycat is affected by it)

Usage Tips
========

Choice Band turns Liepard into a prediction-reliant Pokemon. Liepard should use Knock Off to remove foe's foes' items early-game. However, be careful when using Dark-type moves against Psychic-types like Mesprit and Musharna, (comma) because they sometimes carry Colbur Berries Berry tpo weaken them; in Musharna's case, its potential Z-move and associated Z-Crystal reduces Knock Off damage and its Z-Move can OHKO Liepard back. Bringing Liepard in on predicted Psychic-type attacks from Mesprit or choice-locked Ghost-type attacks from Oriocorio-G and Haunter is ideal for Pursuit trapping. However, Be wary when locking Liepard into Sucker Punch because setup sweepers like Carracosta can take advantage of it it. Liepard should pivot out on its hard counters with U-turn.

Team Options
========

Weezing makes a good partner for Liepard because it covers its Liepard's weakness to Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-type attacks.

Moves
========

Nasty Plot boosts Liepard's Special Attack to decent levels. Dark Pulse is Liepard's strongest special STAB attack and as a bonus,has a chance to make a the foe flinch. Encore is perfect for Liepard, since it gives Liepard a chance to set up freely once a foe is locked into a non-threatening move. As a result of Prankster, Copycat allows Liepard to use Dark Pulse as a form of priority due to Prankster and beat faster foes such as Jynx and Lycanroc.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Liepard should lock foes into set(space)up moves or status moves that give it free set up using Encore. Liepard should use Nasty Plot on resisted attacks or after locking a foe into with Encore. Copycat gives Liepard's attacks priority, (comma) so it and should be used immediately after an attack. Since Liepard's only attacking move is Dark Pulse, it should be preserved until late-game, when its checks are eliminated from the battle.

Team Options
========

Mesprit and Musharna make good partners because they can remove Fighting-types and Liepard apperciates Healing Wish support from the former. Pokemon such as Weezing that can switch into Fighting-, Bug- and Fairy-type attacks, (comma) such as Weezing, also pair well with Liepard. Weezing can also set Toxic Spikes, which will hinder Liepard's checks futher. Liepard appreciates residual damage on its foes due to a its lack of power, so entry hazard users such as Ferroseed and Qwilfish work well with it. Qwilfish in particular makes a good partner because it wears down Hitmonchan and Primeape . Alolan Raichu and Jynx make good partners for Liepard since they check Fighting-types and break through physically defensive Pokemon.

[SET]
name: Weather
move 1: Knock Off
move 2:(space)Rain Dance / Sunny Day
move 3: Encore / Thunder Wave
move 4: U-turn

Moves
========

Knock Off is Liepard's best STAB attack and is helpful for removing an item such as Ferroseed's Eviolite that items from Pokemon such as Ferroseed, which disrupts rain. Rain Dance summons rain for 8 turns with Damp Rock, while Sunny Day summons sun for 8 turns with Heat Rock for its teammates. Encore can be used by Liepard to lock its foes into non-threatening moves, then take advantage of them by clicking U-turn and bringing in weather abusers sweepers and attackers with U-turn. Thunder Wave is another option that can be used to slow down faster foes.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Once Liepard sets the weather, it should exit battle as soon as possible in order to let its team take advantage of as many weather turns as possible. Do not use Liepard as a lead for weather teams; Liepard should be preserved, (comma) since because it has great utility in setting up weather, so your best bet is to send it in whenever the weather is needed or is about to expire. Be wary that Liepard isn't bulky at all, so don't switch it in mindlessly. Liepard's Dark typing allows it to be immune to Prankster moves such as Sableye's Will-O-Wisp, so feel free to switch it in on Sableye or any other passive Pokemon.

Team Options
========

Liepard should be paired with weather abusers sweepers such as Kabutops and Ludicolo on rain teams or Victreebel and Exeggutor on sun teams. Electric-types such as Manetric can be used on rain teams to take advantage of Thunder's perfect accuracy in the rain. Mespirt works well with Liepard since because it can set up Stealth Rock and pivot with U-turn. Other Stealth Rock users, most notably Golem and Regirock, should be used for sun teams since because they provide good role compression. Pokemon like Pyroar and Magmortar should be paired with Sunny Day Liepard because they take advantage of their Fire-type attacks being boosted by the sun.

Other Options
=============

A Life Orb set can be used over Choice Band if Liepard doesn't want to be Choice-locked but would apperciate the extra power behind its coverage moves. Seed Bomb can be used to hit bulky Rock-types like Golem and Carracosta. Trick cripples bulky walls such as Weezing and Audino that try to switch in on Liepard such as Weezing and Audino. Taunt also similarly enables Liepard to cripple passive Pokemon like Audino. Fairium Z can also be used as a tool to hit Fighting-types harder. A bulkier EV spread for weather sets can be used to slightly increase Liepard's longevity, but Liepard has inherently mediocre bulk, so it often isn't worth it.
