Aggron @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Heavy Slam
- Low Kick
- Fire Punch / Ice Punch

A Jolly Nature allows Aggron to outspeed Modest Exeggutor and still OHKO with Head Smash removing it as a potential check and threat towards your team.

252 Atk Choice Band Aggron Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Exeggutor: 373-441 (112.6 - 133.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hi guys, thanks to everyone for their submissions.
This week's winners, with their awesome Exeggutor lures are:
Realistic Waters' Signal Beam Prinplup
TTFTW's Pursuit Liepard
Yogibears' Specs Vileplume.

Congrats!

This week's threat is...

Pyroar (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Fire Blast
- Hyper Voice
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Submissions end on Sunday.

(Ken Sugimori Art)
Hitmonchan (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 88 Hp / 168 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Stone Edge/Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch/Mach Punch

This set basically destroys Pyroar, and the remaining moves are just for coverage, which also destroys faster chan threats such as scyther and etc. Jolly nature can be ran, but we're focusing on Pyroar so adamant is chosen. The ev spread lets it get OHKO after rocks on kang and tauros, while giving a little bulk to survive certain hits, especially when you wish to switch into moves of Pyroar.

252 SpA Life Orb Pyroar Fire Blast vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Hitmonchan: 191-226 (72.6 - 85.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Pyroar Hyper Voice vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Hitmonchan: 180-213 (68.4 - 80.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Hope you like my idea, and grats on driver earth :)

Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Razor Shell
- Stone Edge
- Superpower
- X-Scissor

-Most people on ladder will assume its a smash set that usually gets Ohkoed by HP Grass from pyroar, but choice scarf barbaracle can switch safely into any fire blast/hyper voice and easily revenge kill back.

Mismagius @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hex
- Taunt
- Thunder Wave / Power Gem

Most Pyroars salivate at the sight of Mismagius, perceiving them to be an easy switch-in. Well, not when Mismagius threatens the worst status in the game which utterly cripples Pyroar. However, if one wants to deal with Pyroar in a more direct fashion, Power Gem 2HKOes Pyroar on the switch while Pyroar doesn't OHKO in return.

0 SpA Mismagius Power Gem vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Pyroar: 168-198 (53.6 - 63.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Pyroar Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mismagius: 229-270 (70.6 - 83.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Abomasnow @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Earthquake
- Focus Blast
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain

Whilst Pyroar can't directly switch in to this thing's LO set, it does see it and go 'Free damage' or 'Kill'. Welp, not with the kinda, maybe-ish, used? Anti-weather set. This thing beats Pyroar relatively easily and smacks it after SR with focus blast. This mon is definitely NOT lit with this set :3

252 SpA Abomasnow Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Pyroar: 290-342 (92.6 - 109.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Ability: Frisk
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Def / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Explosion
- Seed Bomb
- Synthesis/Shadow Sneak

Pyroar can normally switch pretty much free against most gourgeist but choice banded gourgeist can OHKO pyroar with rock slide or explosion. It can also lure other stuff like charizard and other fire types.

252+ Atk Choice Band Gourgeist-Super Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Pyroar: 294-346 (93.9 - 110.5%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Gourgeist-Super Explosion vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Pyroar: 486-572 (155.2 - 182.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Golurk @ Passho Berry
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Thunder Punch
- Shadow Punch

This is a cool set I learned from Soulgazer, with Passho Berry Golurk is able to survive Hydro Pump with even a couple of stealth rock damage and with Thunder Punch it's able to OHKO it back. For example it's able to come in on slow U-turns from Mesprit and Xatu that are moments Floatzel comes in to nuke something you eat the Passho Berry to survive that and OHKO it.

252 SpA Life Orb Floatzel Hydro Pump vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Passho Berry Golurk: 211-250 (65.9 - 78.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Floatzel Ice Beam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Golurk: 231-273 (72.1 - 85.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Iron Fist Golurk Thunder Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Floatzel: 338-398 (108.6 - 127.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Gastrodon-East @ Rindo Berry
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Recover
- Mirror Coat

Pretty simple lure, just come in either on a Hydro Pump or a free switch, and click Mirror Coat to blow Floatzel back. This lure even works if Gastro is quite weak from coming in on a Focus Blast, so it can catch a lot of people off guard.

252 SpA Life Orb Floatzel Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rindo Berry Gastrodon: 151-179 (35.4 - 42%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Floatzel Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Gastrodon: 151-178 (35.4 - 41.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Lilligant (F) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Giga Drain
- Quiver Dance
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Sleep Powder

Pretty standard lure for floatzel in yache berry while also offering you a secondary lure for mons like abomasnow trying to pick you off with ice shard after you have taken some prior damage. you just need to pair it up with something to deal with fires.

calcs:
252 SpA Life Orb Floatzel Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Yache Berry Lilligant: 122-144 (43.4 - 51.2%) -- 5.5% chance to 2HKO
4 Atk Life Orb Abomasnow Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Yache Berry Lilligant: 66-79 (23.4 - 28.1%) -- 82% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and hail damage
252 Atk Life Orb Abomasnow Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Yache Berry Lilligant: 86-101 (30.6 - 35.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and hail damage

Manectric @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower / Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Grass]

I've been using this mane set for quite some time now, and this set is pretty cool. Most people will most likely think that it's a regular LO set due to Mane's mediocre SpA, but using scarf mane will give them a surprise, with Floatzel getting lured clicking hydro and getting hit instead by mane with something that KOes. Overall, this also acts as a good lure for faster attackers (Jolly Nature to outspeed things like ludicolo @ rain and etc.), unaware that they're facing scarf mane

Basically, mortar can easily run a passho berry, taking only 74% max from hydro, and OHKOs back with tbolt. As a result, even if the float user runs the calc, and thinks they can take it on after rocks, it still lives, and OHKOs back. The set isn't only for this, as it can lure a lot of other water types, and taunt is a broken move, so it has some cool utility on a team.

252 SpA Life Orb Floatzel Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 128 SpD Yache Berry Torterra: 190-226 (48.2 - 57.3%) -- 91.8% chance to 2HKO

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Imprison
- Psychic/Calm Mind

Funny enough, I've actually been theory-moning this for a bit. the point of this set is to shut down other psychic types that can normal beat you with coverage or cm, and then set-up. it works like a charm on mesprit too, being able to beat offensive sets quite easily.
252 SpA Claydol Signal Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Mesprit: 104-124 (34.5 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Malamar @ Tanga Berry
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 244 SpD / 12 Spe
Careful Nature
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

The idea of this set is to Superpower Mesprit as it switches in so you're at +1 Atk. Normally Mesprit outspeeds and just goes for Signal Beam to pick up the OHKO. With a Tanga Berry Malamar manages to survive the hit and retaliate back with +1 Knock Off which kills after the previously done damage by Superpower.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Mesprit Signal Beam vs. 252 HP / 244+ SpD Tanga Berry Malamar: 204-240 (54.2 - 63.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Scyther @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aerial Ace
- U-turn
- Pursuit
- Quick Attack / other filler
Normally Scyther threatens Mesprit with U-turn, but you can Pursuit it for a fuckton of damage. Pursuit and CB Scyther in general are very uncommon and very unexpected, so I'd say it's a lure.

Cacturne @ Choice Band
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Seed Bomb
- Switcheroo
- Filler

Cacturne already can hit Mesprit with priority sucker punch but it fails to OHKO, but this seals the deal. :D

Extremely basic but very effective lure for Rhydon. Cleanly 2hko'd if you predict the switch.

Mesprit @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Psychic
- Energy Ball
- U-turn

Not sure how effective at luring this actually is since Energy Ball is somewhat common on Mesprit, but not so much on the defensive set, so Rhydon may well come in / stay in and try to Megahorn it once the opponent realises what set it is. Meanwhile, Energy Ball still does enough damage to 2HKO, and it outspeeds so you win if they assume it's the regular T-Wave set and set up Stealth Rock alongside you. This set also does well against Gastrodon, Lanturn, and some other Ground-types like Golurk that might try to come in.

16+ Atk Rhydon Megahorn vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Mesprit: 170-202 (46.7 - 55.4%) -- 14.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Mesprit Energy Ball vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 228-272 (55 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

200+ SpA Life Orb Protean Kecleon Grass Knot (100 BP) vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 458-546 (110.6 - 131.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Archeops
Ability: Defeatist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Acrobatics
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Tail
- Knock Off

Rhydon is able to switch into Earth Power from the standard Archeops once however with Aqua Tail you are able to 2hko it without relying on the shaky accuracy of Focus Blast. Knock Off is also a nice utility option in case you would rather not predict the switch when hitting a partner like Rotom or Misamagius and then Ohkoing with Aqua Tail after.

252 Atk Archeops Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 240-284 (57.9 - 68.5%)

252 Atk Archeops Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 64-76 (15.4 - 18.3%)

252 Atk Archeops Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Rhydon: 356-420 (85.9 - 101.4%)
