[OVERVIEW]

Pidgeot has become a promising late-game sweeper with the addition of Z-Mirror Move, which raises the users attack stat by two stages and also transforms the opponents last move into a Z-move, which also buffs Pidgeot as a revenge killer in its very convenient speed tier of 101.

Moves
========
  • Brave Bird is Pidgeot's most powerful STAB move
  • Return offers a high STAB move with zero recoil and neutral coverage
  • Mirror Move is excellent for finishing off weakened foes who just attacked and also boosting that physical move with BOTH the Z-move form and raising Pidgeot's attack by two stages before the attack begins
  • Quick attack gives a nice priority move for finishing off faster weakened foes

Set Details
========
  • Keen eye is an optional ability that can be helpful with a minority of Pokemon that get evasion boosts
  • Max Speed with a Timid nature
  • Max Attack is ran to increase Pidgeot's damage output.
  • Flyinium Z is used to raise Pidgeot's attack before copying the last attacking move of the opponent
  • Choice Band can also be run with U-turn replacing Mirror Move

Usage Tips
========
  • Pidgeot should be saved for mid-to-late-game sweeping to take full advantage of its Mirror Z-move.
  • Pidgeot can use it's Z-move for a Supersonic Strike if necessary, but this isn't recommended since it's attack state is relatively low and this set is designed for sweeping
  • All steel and rock type Pokemon should be weakened or defeated so that Pidgeot can sweep the rest of the opponent's team without issues
  • Be careful when reading the opponent's moves, as Pidgeot can't always steal the opponent's move if it switches or uses a recovery move (although the attack bonus will still apply)

Team Options
========
Stealth rock setter help Pidgeot sweep, and specially defensive Pokemon help to absorb hits from the faster Pyroar.

Other Options
=============
  • A Choice Band set replacing Mirror Move with U-turn can prove effective

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock and steel type Pokemon: Golem, Kling-Klang, Ferroseed, and other Pokemon can typically absorb Pidgeot's STAB moves more than twice, even at plus two Attack.

**Faster Pokemon (of which there are few) and Choice Scarf Pokemon on the opposing team.

Hi. In order to reserve an analysis you check if a pokemon is up for reservation and post in the analysis reservation thread. Right now, Pidgeot is not up for reservation. If you'd like to take something else, I recommend checking out the list first (although it may not be entirely updated with Pokemon other people have reserved in the thread). Also, if you plan to do so, I might check out other analyses or ask for advice in the PU discord because the analysis contains a number of significant errors that I'd want to address before putting it into QC.
