[OVERVIEW]

Pyroar is one of the premier special attackers in the tier thanks to its valuable Fire typing and great offensive stats. Fantastic coverage between Fire Blast and Hyper Voice makes Pyroar difficult to switch into when it's holding Choice Specs or Life Orb, outside of Rock-types like Regirock. Because it outspeeds most of the metagame, Pyroar can also act as an efficient revenge killer, especially when holding a Choice Scarf. However, Pyroar is frail and easily revenge killed by faster Pokemon or priority, especially Mach Punch. Poor bulk and a subpar defensive typing, including a weakness to Stealth Rock, make it harder to bring in than most other Pokemon. Pyroar does face some competition as a Fire-type from the stronger and bulkier Magmortar, which also possesses Focus Blast to deal with Rock-types. However, Pyroar's superior speed stat and STAB Hyper Voice let it stand out and make it a valuable addition to most teams.

Moves
========

Fire Blast is Pyroar's strongest Fire-type STAB move that is consistent at dealing damage. Hyper Voice is Pyroar's secondary STAB move and allows it to deal heavy damage to Pokemon that resist Fire Blast such as Miltank and Lanturn, excluding Rock-types. Hidden Power Grass allows Pyroar to hit Rock-types like Regirock and Carracosta for decent damage. Flamethrower can be used to provide an accurate Fire-type STAB in situations where Fire Blast's power is unnecessary. If Life Orb is being used over Choice Specs, Taunt is an option to break through walls like Miltank and Clefairy by preventing them from using recovery. Will-O-Wisp can help Pyroar play around Sucker Punch and cripple some physical attackers like Shiftry and Hitmonchan.

Set Details
========

Choice Specs is used to make Pyroar very powerful at the cost of being locked into one move. Life Orb also offers significant power while allowing Pyroar to switch moves, although it isn't quite as strong and the recoil can be harmful, especially considering Stealth Rock already cuts Pyroar's health significantly. Maximum EVs in Special Attack and Speed as well as a Timid nature make Pyroar as fast and strong as possible. While none of Pyroar's abilities are great, Unnerve is chosen due to its occasional use against Lum Berry or Occa Berry users.

Usage Tips
========

Pyroar can be brought into play to revenge kill slower Pokemon or on moves it can tank due to its typing, such as Ferroseed's Gyro Ball and Oricorio-G's Revelation Dance. Pyroar can also be switch in with U-turn or Volt Switch support or when predicting the opponent to switch to something it can threaten, like Gourgeist. Pyroar should be used mid-game to punch holes in teams with its power and coverage, unless the opponent has a dedicated counter like specially defensive Clefairy. Against slower teams with bulky Fire-resistant Pokemon like Assault Vest Lanturn, Pyroar can be saved for late-game to clean weakened teams because of its high Speed. If Pyroar is holding Choice Specs, beware of locking it into non-STAB options, as they may allow Pokemon like Gurdurr and Musharna Be aware of Pyroar's health when switching it in and out, especially when Stealth Rock is on the field. If Pyroar is holding a Life Orb, accurately predicting switches is crucial to avoid chipping away health each turn.

Team Options
========

Fighting-resistant Pokemon like Weezing, Mesprit, and Sableye can switch into Mach Punch and other Fighting-type attacks aimed at Pyroar; Mesprit also offers U-turn and Healing Wish support. Pokemon that resist Water like Lanturn, Ludicolo, and Gastrodon can switch into Water-type attacks aimed at Pyroar. Pokemon that like Grass-types gone, such as Gastrodon and Lanturn, appreciate Pyroar's ability to switch in on and threaten Grass-types. Pokemon that like Steel-types gone like Mesprit and Archeops appreciate Pyroar switching in on and threatening the likes of Ferroseed and Mawile. Certain offensive Pokemon, such as Kangaskhan, Skuntank, and Alolan Raichu, benefit from Pyroar's ability to weaken shared counters like Regirock and Gastrodon. Other cleaners that benefit from Pyroar's ability to punch holes and weaken teams include Floatzel and Archeops. Entry hazard removers such as Skuntank and Hitmonchan are often useful to Pyroar because of its Stealth Rock weakness, and Skuntank also absorbs Toxic Spikes, which can quickly chip away at Pyroar's health. Hazard support in Stealth Rock and Spikes from Pokemon like Regirock, Mesprit, and Qwilfish help Pyroar score OHKOs and 2HKOs so it can KO Pokemon without having to take a hit.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Fire Blast is Pyroar's best attack for revenge killing Pokemon, as it is the strongest reliable Fire-type move it learns. Hyper Voice deals decent damage to Pokemon that resist Fire like Magmortar and Drampa and functions as Pyroar's secondary STAB move. Hidden Power Grass allows Pyroar to 2HKO Gastrodon and Carracosta on a predicated switch, and it is Pyroar's only attack that can really dent Regirock. Flamethrower provides accuracy in situations where Pyroar needs to revenge kill a threat without missing. Alternatively, Overheat provides a powerful attack that allows Pyroar to revenge kill certain threats like Primeape from full HP but at the cost of lowering its Special Attack.

Set Details
========

Maximum EVs in Special Attack and Speed as well as a Timid nature make Pyroar as fast and strong as possible. Since Choice Scarf Pyroar is already very fast, it can also use a Modest nature, which still lets it outspeed Lilligant at +1 but prevents it from outpacing Choice Scarf Primeape and Ludicolo in rain. Despite not being very useful, Unnerve is the best of Pyroar's three abilities.

Usage Tips
========

Choice Scarf Pyroar is a revenge kille and outspeeds nearly the entire metagame, so it can be brought in to revenge kill any weakened offensive Pokemon. Pyroar can also be brought in on weak or resisted moves, from a U-turn, or when predicting the opponent to switch to Pokemon weak to Fire. If the opponent has any Speed-boosting setup sweeper, like Z-Lovely Kiss Jynx or Lilligant, be careful not to sacrifice Pyroar early. Pyroar can often be saved for late-game to function as a cleaner and finish off an entire weakened team. Choice Scarf Pyroar can be easy setup bait for sweepers like Carracosta and Musharna, so Pyroar should generally not be sent into battle if your team lacks appropriate counterplay to those Pokemon. For similar reasons, you should be very careful before locking Pyroar into Hidden Power Grass, because most of the tier can take advantage of the weak move for free turns. Because Pyroar has to switch in and out of battle to revenge kill Pokemon, keeping Stealth Rock and other entry hazards off your side of the field is recommended so it does not have to take heavy chip damage each time it comes in.

Team Options
========

Pyroar is a revenge killer, and it needs Pokemon to weaken bulky tanks and Fire-resistant Pokemon. Strong Pokemon that share checks like Choice Specs Mesprit and Archeops can help it with this, and they can also can take Ground-type attacks aimed at Pyroar. Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Gourgeist that are setup bait for Speed-boosting sweepers like Lilligant and Jynx appreciate Choice Scarf Pyroar's ability to revenge kill these foes. Pyroar appreciates Pokemon that switch into its weaknesses, so Fighting-resistant Pokemon like Mesprit and Qwilfish, Water-resistant Pokemon like Lanturn, and Rock-resistant Pokemon like Hitmonchan make good partners. Pokemon that are weak to Grass-types appreciate Pyroar being able to force them out, so Pokemon like Regirock and Floatzel are decent partners. The same goes for Pokemon like Mesprit and Kangaskhan, which struggle with Steel-types. The Stealth Rock weakness makes it hard for Pyroar to come in and out of battle, so entry hazard removers like Skuntank, Lurantis, and Hitmonchan are very useful. Hazard support is important so that Pyroar can score KOs on weakened Pokemon it wants to revenge kill. Stealth Rock setters like Regirock and Mesprit and Spikes users like Qwilfish are good options for this.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

If you can afford a Z-Crystal Normalium Z and Grassium Z are decent options. Normalium Z with Hyper Voice provides a strong 175-Base Power move in Breakneck Blitz, and Grassium Z with Solar Beam provides a 190-Base Power move to KO Pokemon like Lanturn that Pyroar lures in. However, neither offer the consistent power of Choice Specs or Life Orb. Flame Plate and Silk Scarf are options for Pyroar to bluff Choice items without taking recoil or using up a Z-Move slot, but the loss in power is very noticeable. Work Up can be used paired with the two aforementioned Z-Moves. Z-Sunny Day is a viable set to boost Pyroar's Speed and power, though it is easier to simply attack with Pyroar rather than attempt a sweep.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-types**: Bulky Rock-type Pokemon like Regirock, Cradily, and Carracosta can easily switch into Fire Blast and Hyper Voice. Regirock can tank any hit, although Cradily must beware of Choice Specs-boosted Fire Blast and Carracosta must be wary of Hidden Power Grass. Archeops outspeeds Pyroar and can OHKO it with Earthquake, although boosted Fire Blast will activate Defeatist, and Lycanroc can switch into any one hit and OHKO Pyroar. Golem and Kabutops are other examples of Pokemon that resist Pyroar's STAB attacks and can switch in if predicted correctly.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-type Pokemon like Lanturn and Poliwrath can easily tank a Fire Blast and even switch in on Hyper Voice or Hidden Power Grass if necessary, though they can be worn down due to lack of recovery. Gastrodon fears Hidden Power Grass and Choice Specs-boosted Hyper Voice, but it can take other attacks from Pyroar. Floatzel is able to oustpeed non-Choice Scarf Pyroar and OHKO it with Hydro Pump.

**Other Fire-resistant Pokemon**: While uncommon, Dragon-type Pokemon such as Drampa can check Pyroar, as can bulkier Fire-types such as Assault Vest Magmortar. Thick Fat Miltank can switch into Pyroar's attacks except Choice Specs-boosted Hyper Voice, and Munchlax is a full counter.

**Special Tanks and Walls**: Audino can counter Pyroar unless it comes in after entry hazards on Choice Specs Fire Blast. Clefairy counters any Pyroar set lacking Taunt, and Type: Null is pressured to use Rest, though it can switch into Pyroar without much trouble. Assault Vest users like Hitmonchan and Kecleon can switch in on Pyroar and beat it.

**Faster Pokemon and Priority**: Pyroar is frail, and most offensive Pokemon that can outspeed it can easily revenge kill it. This includes Archeops, Floatzel, Choice Scarf Primeape, and Alolan Raichu. Pyroar is also weak to many forms of priority such as Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, and Accelerock and can be threatened by other priority users like Absol, Skuntank, and Kangaskhan.

Not QC, just some suggestions:
Mention why to use Pyroar over the other 2 in the overview.
"Pyroar is fairly strong and possesses good coverage between its Fire-type STAB and Hyper Voice, making it difficult to switch into."
Rephrase this to "Pyroar is rather strong and has wide coverage between it's dual STABs, making it difficult to switch into."
Mention why Specs and LO are used in set details

Not QC but here are some suggestions
  • "Faces some competition as a Fire-type from Charizard and Magmortar." I dont think this is true at all unless you are referring to DD zard, but even then they arent really comparable. Special Pyroar has a higher speed tier, equal special attack stat and isnt 4x weak to rocks.
  • "Hyper Voice is Pyroar's secondary STAB move which allows it to deal heavy damage to Fire-resists excluding Rock-types. Hidden Power Grass allows Pyroar to hit Rock-types and Gastrodon for powerful damage." Mention examples of Rock-types
  • I think Will-O-Wisp is worth mentioning in Moves
  • "Flame Plate and Silk Scarf are decent options over Life Orb to mitigate recoil, especially with Taunt, but does make Pyroar significantly weaker.
    Usage Tips" This belongs in Other Options
  • Pyroar can be brought in at any time to revenge kill slower pokemon. You should mention that Choice Specs Pyroar is a wall breaker
  • "move 4: Flamethrower / Overheat" I think you should slash Flamethrower with Fire Blast instead
  • In Set details, for Choice Scarf mention why you should be using Timid. Also mention its abillity, Unnerve
  • "Scarf Pyroar is a revenge killer, and outspeeds nearly the entire metagame, so can be brought in to kill off any weakened offensive pokemon." I think you should remove offensive since it can revenge defensive mons too.
  • "If choice-locked, beware of locking into non-STAB options as they may allow easy setup to pokemon like Charizard and Musharna." I think you should rephrase that since you are referring to the Choice Scarf set.
  • "Hazard support in Stealth Rock and Spikes help Pyroar score OHKO and 2HKOs so it an kill pokemon without having to take a hit." Give examples of hazard users
  • In Other options I think you can mention Charcoal as its used to bluff choiced items.
  • Overall pretty solid analysis

While this is good for the most part, you absolutely cannot use the exact same bullet points across sets. If you want to make the same point, you at least need to use different examples/wording. If the two sets read the same, the analysis will not be uploaded
[OVERVIEW]
- Pyroar is one of the fastest special attackers in the tier, making it a good revenge-killer and cleaner of weakened teams.
- Pyroar is rather strong and has wide coverage between it's dual STABs, making it difficult to switch into
- Pyroar is frail and easily revenge killed by faster pokemon or priority, especially Mach Punch.
- Faces some competition as a Fire-type from Charizard and Magmortar. The former's typing gives it some defensive utility and has great versatility, and Magmortar is stronger, has better coverage for Fire-resists, and is bulkier. However, Pyroar's superior Speed and STAB Hyper Voice lets it stand out.
- Overall Pyroar is a strong offensive threat.

its also got really bad defensive typing/stats (esp w/rox weakness), so as a wallbreaker it's a bit harder to get in a lot than somth like eggy or guzz or even mag

**Bulky Rock Types**: Bulky rock-type pokemon, like Regirock, Cradily, and Carracosta can easily switch into Fire Blast and Hyper Voice. **Bulky Water Types**: Bulky water-type pokemon like Lanturn and Poliwrath can easily take a Fire Blast and even switch in on Hyper Voice or Hidden Power Grass if necessary, though they can be worn down due to lack of recovery.

**Other Fire Resists**: While uncommon, dragon-type pokemon such as Guzzlord can easily check Pyroar, as well as bulkier Fire-types such as AV Magmortar. Thick Fat users like Miltank can switch into Pyroar, although must beware of Specs Hyper Voice.

  • If you can afford a z-move, Normalium Z and Grassium Z are decent options. Normalium Z provides a one-time 175 BP nuke in Hyper Voice, and Grassium Z with Solarbeam provides a 200 BP (190 BP not 200) move to lure pokemon like Lanturn. However, neither offer the consistent power of Choice Specs and (or) Life Orb.
  • Work Up can be used paired with the two aforementioned Z-moves.
  • Z-Sunny Day is a viable set to boost Pyroar's speed and power, though it is easier to simply attack with Pyroar rather than attempt a sweep.
  • Roar and Yawn are possible options for Pyroar to help deal with bulky setup sweepers.
  • Endeavor is an option because of how easily it can be worn down
  • Silk Scarf and Flame Plate are also options if you're not adding them to the main set

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock Types**: Bulky rock-type pokemon, like Regirock, Cradily, and Carracosta can easily switch into Fire Blast and Hyper Voice. Regirock can tank any hit, although Cradily and Carracosta must beware of Specs Fire Blast and HP Grass, respectively. Archeops outspeeds and can OHKO Pyroar with Earthquake, though boosted Fire Blast will activate Defeatist, and Lycanroc can switch into any one hit and OHKO Pyroar. (solid)

**Bulky Water Types**: Bulky water-type pokemon like Lanturn and Poliwrath can easily take a Fire Blast and even switch in on Hyper Voice or Hidden Power Grass if necessary, though they can be worn down due to lack of recovery. Gastrodon fears Hidden Power Grass and Specs Hyper Voice, but can take other attacks from Pyroar.

**Other Fire Resists**: While uncommon, dragon-type pokemon such as Guzzlord can check Pyroar, as well as bulkier Fire-types such as AV Magmortar. Thick Fat users like Miltank can switch into Pyroar, although must beware of Specs Hyper Voice.

**Special Tanks and Walls**: Audino can counter Pyroar unless it comes in after hazards on Specs Fire Blast. Clefairy counters any Pyroar set lacking Taunt, and Muk is pressured to use Rest, but can usually handle Pyroar. Assault Vest users like Hitmonchan and Magmortar can switch in on Pyroar and beat it. (I'm not so sure above Muk, replace with Type:Null)

**Faster Pokemon and Priority**: Pyroar is frail, and most offensive pokemon that can outspeed it can easily revenge kill it. This includes Archeops, Scarf Primeape, and Raichu-Alola. Pyroar is also weak to common forms of priority such as Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, and Accelrock. (is accelrock a common form of priority? maybe rephrase to many forms of priority)

Pyroar is one of the premier special attackers in the tier, thanks to its valuable Fire-typing and great offensive stats. Pyroar possesses fantastic coverage between Fire Blast and Hyper Voice, making it difficult to switch into when holding a Choice Specs or Life Orb, outside of Rock-types like Regirock. Because it outspeeds most of the metagame, Pyroar can also act as an efficient revenge-killer, especially when holding a Choice Scarf. However, Pyroar is frail and easily revenge killed by faster pokemon or priority, especially Mach Punch. Poor bulk and subpar defensive typing, including weakness to Stealth Rocks, makes it harder to bring in than most pokemon. Pyroar does face some competition as a Fire-type from the stronger and bulkier Magmortar, who also possesses Focus Blast to deal with Rock-types. However, Pyroar's superior Speed and STAB Hyper Voice lets it stand out and make it a valuable addition to most teams.

Hidden Power Grass allows Pyroar to hit Rock-types like Regirock and Carracosta for decent damage. Flamethrower can be used to provide an accurate Fire-type STAB in situations where Fire Blast's power is unecessary. If using Life Orb over Choice Specs, Taunt is an option to break through walls like Miltank and Clefairy by preventing them from using recovery. Will-o-Wisp can help Pyroar play around Sucker Punch and cripple some physical attackers like Shiftry and Hitmonchan.

Set Details

Choice Specs is used to make Pyroar very powerful, at the cost of locking into one move. Life Orb also offers significant power while allowing Pyroar to switch moves, though it isn't quite as strong and the recoil can be harmful.(especially since sr weak) Maximum EVs in SpA and Speed, as well as Timid Nature make Pyroar as fast and strong as possible. While none of Pyroar's abilities are great, Unnerve is chosen due to its occasional use vs Sitrus Berry or Occa Berry users. Moxie is useless on a Special Attacker and Rivalry's chance of lowering Pyroar's damage output makes it risky.

Usage Tips
========

Pyroar can be brought into play to revenge kill slower pokemon, or on weak or non-damaging moves, such as Ferroseed's Gyro Ball or Weezing's Will-o-Wisp. (you can mention stuff like oricorio stuck in ghost move since it happens but up to you) Pyroar can also be get switch-ins with U-turn or Volt Switch support, or when predicting the opponent to make a switch to something it can threaten like Gourgeist. Pyroar should be used mid-game to punch holes in teams with its power and coverage, unless the opponent has a dedicated counter like SpD Clefairy. Against slower teams with bulkier fire-resists like AV Lanturn, Pyroar can be saved for the late-game to clean weakened teams because of its high speed. If choice-locked, beware of locking into non-STAB options as they may allow easy setup to pokemon like Gurdurr and Musharna. Be aware of Pyroar's health when switching it in and out, especially when Stealth Rocks are on the field. If Life Orb, accurately predicting switches is crucial to avoid chipping away health each turn.

Fighting-resists like Weezing, Mesprit, and Sableye to switch into Mach Punch and other Fighting-type attacks aimed at Pyroar. Mesprit also offers U-turn and Healing Wish support. Water-resists like Lanturn, Ludicolo, and Gastrodon can switch into water-type attacks aimed at Pyroar. Pokemon who like grass-types gone, such as Gastrodon and Lanturn, appreciate Pyroar because it can switch in and threaten Grass-Types. Pokemon who like steel-types gone like Mesprit, Archeops appreciate Pyroar being able to switch in and threaten Ferroseed, Mawile, and other steel-types. Offensive Pokemon who benefit from shared counters being lured like Kangaskhan, Skuntank, and Raichu-Alola benefit from Pyroar's ability to weaken pokemon like Regirock and Gastrodon. Hazard removers such as Skuntank and Hitmonchan are often useful to Pyroar because of its Stealth Rock weakness, and Skuntank also absorbs Toxic Spikes which can quickly chip away at Pyroar's health. Hazard support in Stealth Rock and Spikes from pokemon like Regirock, Mesprit, and Qwilfish help Pyroar score OHKO and 2HKOs so it an kill pokemon without having to take a hit.

Moves

Fire Blast is Pyroar's best attack for revenge killing pokemon, as it is the strongest reliable Fire-type move it learns. Hyper Voice deals decent damage to Fire-resists like Magmortar and Drampa, and functions as Pyroar's secondary STAB move. Hidden Power Grass allows Pyroar to predict and 2HKO Gastrodon and Carracosta switch-ins, and is Pyroar's only attack that can really dent Regirock. Flamethrower provides accuracy in situations where Pyroar needs to revenge kill a threat without missing. Alternatively, Overheat provides a one-time nuke that allows Pyroar to revenge kill certain threats like Primeape from full but at the cost of lowering its special attack.

Set Details
========

Maximum EVs in SpA and Speed, as well as Timid Nature make Pyroar as fast and strong as possible. Since Scarf Pyroar is already very fast, it can also use a Modest nature, which still outspeeds Lilligant at +1, but it fails to outpace Scarf Primeape and Ludicolo in Rain. Despite not being very useful, Unnerve is the best of Pyroar's three abilities.

Usage Tips
========

Scarf Pyroar is a revenge killer, and outspeeds nearly the entire metagame, so can be brought in to revenge kill any weakened offensive pokemon. Pyroar can also be brought in on weak or resisted moves, U-turn, or when predicting the opponent to switch to a fire-weak pokemon. If the opponent has any speed-boosting setup sweeper, like Z-Lovely Kiss Jynx or Lilligant, be careful not to sacrifice Pyroar early. Pyroar can often be saved for late-game to function as a cleaner and finish off an entire weakened team. Scarf Pyroar can be easy setup bait for sweepers like Carracosta and Musharna, so Pyroar should not be sent into battle if your team lacks appropriate counterplay to those pokemon. Because Pyroar has to switch in and out of battle to revenge-kill pokemon, keeping Stealth Rocks and other hazards off of your side of the field is optimal so it does not have to take heavy chip damage each time it comes in. the point about being locked into hp grass/overheat is still valid you could put it here too

Pyroar is a revenge killer, but it needs pokemon to weaken bulky tanks and Fire-resists. Strong pokemon that share checks like Specs Mesprit and Archeops can help it in this, and the aforementioned mons can also can take Ground-type attacks aimed at Pyroar. Pokemon that are setup bait for speed-boosting sweepers like Lilligant and Jynx, such as Gastrodon or Gourgeist, appreciates Scarf Pyroar's ability to revenge kill. Pyroar appreciates pokemon to switch into its weaknesses, so fighting-resists like Mesprit and Qwilfish, water-resists like Lanturn, and rock resists like Hitmonchan make good partners. Pokemon who are weak to Grass-types appreciate Pyroar being able to force them out, so pokemon like Regirock and Floatzel are decent partners, and the same goes for pokemon weak to Steel-types like Mesprit and Kangaskhan. The Stealth Rock weakness makes it hard for Pyroar to come in and out of battle, so hazard removers like Skuntank and Hitmonchan are very useful. Hazard support is important so that Pyroar can score KOs on weakened pokemon it wants to revenge kill. Stealth Rock from pokemon like Regirock and Mesprit, and Spikes from pokemon like Qwilfish are good options for this. lurantis works too as a grass type that can also remove entry hazards i guess

Fighting-resists Pokemon that resist Fighting-type attacks (or Fighting-resistant Pokemon) like Weezing, Mesprit, and Sableye to can switch into Mach Punch and other Fighting-type attacks aimed at Pyroar. Pyroar; (unneeded) Mesprit also offers U-turn and Healing Wish support. Water-resists Pokemon that resist Water (or Water-resistant Pokemon) like Lanturn, Ludicolo, and Gastrodon can switch into water Water-type attacks aimed at Pyroar. Pokemon who which that like grass Grass-types gone, such as Gastrodon and Lanturn, appreciate Pyroar because it can switch in and threaten Grass -Types -types. Pokemon who which that like steel Steel-types gone like Mesprit, Mesprit and Archeops appreciate Pyroar being able to switch in and threaten Ferroseed, Mawile, and other steel Steel-types. Offensive pokemon Pokemon (the examples "Kangaskhan, Skuntank, and Raichu-Alola" could be moved here to clarify that they are the Offensive teammates rather than the shared counters) (yes move them) like Kangaskhan, Skuntank, and Alolan Raichu who which that benefit from shared counters being lured in like Kangaskhan, Skuntank, and Raichu-Alola benefit from Pyroar's ability to weaken pokemon Pokemon like Regirock and Gastrodon. Other cleaners that benefit from Pyroar's ability to punch holes and weaken teams include Floatzel and Archeops. Hazard removers such as Skuntank and Hitmonchan are often useful to Pyroar because of its Stealth Rock weakness, and Skuntank also absorbs Toxic Spikes, (AC) which can quickly chip away at Pyroar's health. Hazard support in Stealth Rock and Spikes from pokemon Pokemon like Regirock, Mesprit, and Qwilfish help Pyroar score OHKO OHKOs and 2HKOs so it can kill pokemon KO Pokemon without having to take a hit.

Moves
========

Fire Blast is Pyroar's best attack for revenge killing pokemon, as it is the strongest reliable Fire-type move it learns. Hyper Voice deals decent damage to Fire-resists Pokemon that resist Fire like Magmortar and Drampa, and functions as Pyroar's secondary STAB move. Hidden Power Grass allows Pyroar to predict (Pyroar isn't really the one predicting, but I don't think this is a necessary change) (it does if it's scarfed) and 2HKO Gastrodon and Carracosta switch-ins when they switch in, and is Pyroar's only attack that can really dent Regirock. Flamethrower provides accuracy in situations where Pyroar needs to revenge kill a threat without missing. Alternatively, Overheat provides a one-time nuke ("nuke" generally shouldn't be used as it is informal, I would recommend changing it to something else that effectively describes Overheat) (yes) that allows Pyroar to revenge kill certain threats like Primeape from full HP but at the cost of lowering its special attack Special Attack.

Set Details
========

Maximum EVs in SpA Special Attack and Speed, as well as a Timid nature, (AC) make Pyroar as fast and strong as possible. Since Choice Scarf Pyroar is already very fast, it can also use a Modest nature, which still outspeeds Lilligant at +1, but it fails to outpace Choice Scarf Primeape and Ludicolo in Rain rain. Despite not being very useful, Unnerve is the best of Pyroar's three abilities.

Usage Tips
========

Choice Scarf Pyroar is a revenge killer, and outspeeds nearly the entire metagame, so it can be brought in to revenge kill any weakened offensive pokemon Pokemon. Pyroar can also be brought in on weak or resisted moves, U-turn, (as U-turn is both a weak and resisted move, I would recommend changing this to '...moves like U-turn' but this is subjective) (i think they mean a u-turn switch) or when predicting the opponent to switch to a fire-weak pokemon Pokemon weak to Fire. If the opponent has any speed-boosting setup sweeper speed boosting set-up sweepers (don't implement this; just capitalise Speed), like Z-Lovely Kiss Jynx or and Lilligant, be careful not to sacrifice Pyroar early. Pyroar can often be saved for late-game to function as a cleaner and finish off an entire weakened team. Choice Scarf Pyroar can be easy setup bait for sweepers like Carracosta and Musharna, so Pyroar should not be sent into battle if your team lacks appropriate counterplay to those pokemon. (never?) For similar reasons, you should be very careful before locking yourself Pyroar into HP Hidden Power Grass because of most of the tier can take advantage of the weak move for free turns. Because Pyroar has to switch in and out of battle to revenge-kill pokemon revenge kill Pokemon, keeping Stealth Rocks Stealth Rock and other hazards off of your side of the field is optimal so it does not have to take heavy chip damage each time it comes in.

Team Options
========

Pyroar is a revenge killer, but (needing support to weaken tanks is always the case for a revenge killer; I don't think "but" should be necessary, although it is a subject change) (keep but) it needs pokemon Pokemon ('teammates' instead of "Pokemon" could be used to be slightly more specific and avoid the repetition of 'Pokemon') to weaken bulky tanks and Fire-resists Fire-resistant Pokemon. Strong pokemon Pokemon that share checks like Choice Specs Mesprit and Archeops can help it in with this, and the aforementioned mons Pokemon can also can take Ground-type attacks aimed at Pyroar. Pokemon such as Gastrodon or Gourgeist that are setup bait for speed-boosting speed boosting (again just capitalise Speed) sweepers like Lilligant and Jynx, such as Gastrodon or Gourgeist, (two sets of examples together is confusing) appreciates appreciate Choice Scarf Pyroar's ability to revenge kill these sweepers. Pyroar appreciates pokemon to Pokemon that switch into its weaknesses, so fighting-resists Fighting-resistant Pokemon like Mesprit and Qwilfish, water-resists Water-resistant Pokemon like Lanturn, and rock resists Rock-resistant Pokemon like Hitmonchan make good partners. Pokemon who which that are weak to Grass-types appreciate Pyroar being able to force them out, so pokemon Pokemon like Regirock and Floatzel are decent partners, and the same goes for pokemon Pokemon weak to Steel-types like Mesprit and Kangaskhan. (these Pokemon aren't technically weak to Steel-types) The Stealth Rock weakness makes it hard for Pyroar to come in and out of battle, so hazard removers like Skuntank, Lurantis, and Hitmonchan are very useful. Hazard support is important so that Pyroar can score KOs on weakened pokemon Pokemon it wants to revenge kill. Stealth Rock from pokemon Pokemon like Regirock and Mesprit, (RC) and Spikes from pokemon Pokemon like Qwilfish are good options for this.

Other Options
=============

If you can afford a z-move Z-Move, Normalium Z and Grassium Z are decent options. Normalium Z provides a one-time 175 BP nuke (don't use "nuke"; replace it maybe with 'strong 175 BP move') in Hyper Voice, and Grassium Z with Solarbeam Solar Beam provides a 190 BP move to lure pokemon KO Pokemon like Lanturn which that Pyroar lures have been lured in. (good lure change) However, neither offer the consistent power of Choice Specs or Life Orb. Flame Plate or Silk Scarf are options for Pyroar to bluff Choice items without taking recoil or using up a Z-move Z-Move slot, but the loss in power is very noticeable. Work Up can be used paired with the two aforementioned Z-Moves. Z-Sunny Day is a viable set to boost Pyroar's Speed and power, though it is easier to simply attack with Pyroar rather than attempt a sweep.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock Types Rock-types**: Bulky rock-type pokemon Rock-type Pokemon, like Regirock, Cradily, and Carracosta can easily switch into Fire Blast and Hyper Voice. Regirock can tank any hit, although Cradily and Carracosta must beware of Choice Specs Fire Blast and Carracosta must be wary of HP Hidden Power Grass, respectively. Archeops outspeeds and can OHKO Pyroar with Earthquake, though although a boosted Fire Blast will activate Defeatist, and Lycanroc can switch into any one hit and OHKO Pyroar. Golem and Kabutops are other examples of Pokemon who that resist Pyroar's STABs STAB moves and can switch in if predicting predicted correctly.

**Bulky Water Types Water-types**: Bulky water-type pokemon Water-type Pokemon like Lanturn and Poliwrath can easily take a Fire Blast and even switch in on Hyper Voice or Hidden Power Grass if necessary, though they can be worn down due to lack of recovery. Gastrodon fears Hidden Power Grass and Choice Specs Hyper Voice, but can take other attacks from Pyroar.

**Other Fire Resists Fire-resistant Pokemon**: While uncommon, dragon-type pokemon Dragon-type Pokemon such as Drampa can check Pyroar, as well as bulkier Fire-types such as AV Assault Vest Magmortar. Thick Fat Miltank can switch into all of Pyroar's attacks except Choice Specs Hyper Voice, and Munchlax is a full counter.

**Special Tanks and Walls**: Audino can counter Pyroar unless it comes in after hazards on Choice Specs Fire Blast. Clefairy counters any Pyroar set lacking Taunt, and Type: Null is pressured to use Rest, but can usually handle Pyroar. Assault Vest users like Hitmonchan and Magmortar can switch in on Pyroar and beat it.

**Faster Pokemon and Priority**: Pyroar is frail, and most offensive pokemon Pokemon that can outspeed it can easily revenge kill it. This includes Archeops, Floatzel, Choice Scarf Primeape, and Raichu-Alola Alolan Raichu. Pyroar is also weak to many forms of priority such as Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, and Accelrock and can be threatened by other priority users like Absol, Skuntank, and Kangaskhan.

GP 2/2
[OVERVIEW]

Pyroar is one of the premier special attackers in the tier thanks to its valuable Fire typing and great offensive stats. Pyroar possesses Fantastic coverage between Fire Blast and Hyper Voice (RC) making it makes Pyroar difficult to switch into when it's holding Choice Specs or Life Orb, outside of Rock-types like Regirock.

Moves
========

Fire Blast is Pyroar's strongest Fire-type STAB move that is consistent at dealing damage. Hyper Voice is Pyroar's secondary STAB move that and allows it to deal heavy damage to Pokemon that resist Fire Blast such as Miltank and Lanturn, excluding Rock-types. Hidden Power Grass allows Pyroar to hit Rock-types like Regirock and Carracosta for decent damage. Flamethrower can be used to provide an accurate Fire-type STAB in situations where Fire Blast's power is unecessary unnecessary.

Set Details
========

Maximum EVs in Special Attack and Speed (RC) as well as a Timid nature make Pyroar as fast and strong as possible. While none of Pyroar's abilities are great, Unnerve is chosen due to its occasional use vs against Sitrus Berry or Occa Berry users. Moxie is useless on a special attacker, and Rivalry's chance of lowering Pyroar's damage output makes it risky.

Usage Tips
========

Pyroar can be brought into play to revenge kill slower Pokemon or on moves it can tank due to its typing, such as Ferroseed's Gyro Ball or and Oricorio-G's Revelation Dance. Pyroar can also be switch in with U-turn or Volt Switch support (RC) or when predicting the opponent to switch to something it can threaten, like Gourgeist. If Pyroar is holding Choice Specs, beware of locking it into non-STAB options, as they may allow easy an setup for Pokemon like Gurdurr and Musharna to set up on it easily. Be aware of Pyroar's health when switching it in and out, especially when Stealth Rock is on the field. If Pyroar is holding a Life Orb, accurately predicting switches is crucial to avoid chipping away health each turn.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that like Grass-types gone, such as Gastrodon and Lanturn, appreciate Pyroar's ability to because it can switch in on and threaten Grass-types. Pokemon that like Steel-types gone like Mesprit and Archeops appreciate Pyroar being able to switch switching in on and threatening the likes of Ferroseed (RC) and Mawile, and other Steel-types. Certain offensive Pokemon, such as Kangaskhan, Skuntank, and Alolan Raichu-Alola, benefit from Pyroar's ability to weaken shared counters like Regirock and Gastrodon.
