Ok, sorry for bump, can you guys give me opinions on the current state of Gen 1 Random battles?

it's good, i just think that getting movesets like fire blast+flamethrower is kinda stupid (imo on every pokemon that has both as a possible move, remove flamethrower cuz fire blast's 30% burn makes it better generally)

I've improved the balance on Gen 1 Random Battles quite a bit.
You've nerfed the OU pokemon way too much now (so much that graveler is now better than golem, etc). I think level 79-ish would be a good middle ground for OUs, 85 for UUs is fine, and 90+ for LCs and stuff looks good

edit: also remove poisonpowder from everything, and maybe have some sort of restriction for potential movesets like swords dance/sleep powder/stun spore/toxic? (swords dance w/o physical moves, max 2 statuses?) or is that too complex?

edit 2: make fire blast mandatory move on moltres?

Thank you, for the update Joim. The game plays alot better now. I would strongly suggest you add Earthquake (Ground Type) to the list of things Pokemon won't have an overlapping weakness for.

Frankly I'm surprised the coding for randbats teams is this involved. I mean, there's really "avoid overlapping weaknesses" lines?

I did make a check for the most common sweeping attacks to avoid getting a team that can be 6-0d by a mon with thunderbolt / blizzard / surf / psychic. Makes for more varied teams, too. Seems fine for now, I like the teams I get.

don't forget bel, also cloyster could be in between idk it's still ok without clamp but really idk why not give it clamp it's not as aids as the other moves

Blizzard should probably be in there IMO.

I just had a team where 3 Pokemon were weak against Psychic...
I don't think psychic is that huge considering that psychic pokes aren't all that common in randbats.
Edit: Also, I think double powder by itself is fine, but I just think that every pokemon should have at least one attack or something like that (for example, sleep powder/stun spore/growth/mega drain is a fine set)
