Type: Null

[OVERVIEW]
  • Thanks to its Eviolite-boosted SpD stat, Type: Null is able to check the plethora of SpA attackers present in the tier, such as Delphox, Vanilluxe, and Whimsicott easily
  • Its decent defensive and offensive stats coupled with its ability Battle Armor make it a very potent bulky set up Pokemon
  • It has defensive utilities that a lot of team archetypes appreciate without being passive, making it usable on stall and more offensive teams
  • Type: Null suffers from its low speed and its Normal-type, which makes it harder to use against Pokemon like Emboar and Hitmonlee
  • It needs to be weary of Knock Off, since Type: Null's Eviolite makes it a lot bulkier and losing it makes it a lot less useful

Moves
========
  • Return is its most reliable attacking move because of its high PP and accuracy, which is the perfect fit for this set
  • U-Turn gives Type: Null the ability to pivot and therefore keep momentum throughout the battle
  • Swords Dance helps Type: Null boost its Attack stat, making it a win condition
  • Rest is the only recovery move Type: Null possesses, it's mainly used to keep Type: Null's longevity to make it effectively work
  • Sleep Talk helps Type: Null attack or set up while being asleep, which is very important to keep Type: Null from being too passive
Set Details
========
  • Maximum HP and SpD investment with a Careful nature helps Type: Null check Special attackers comfortably
  • Eviolite is the preferred item as it boosts Type: Null's defensive stats, which helps it work even better
  • Battle Armor is Type: Null's only ability, and it happens to be very useful as it makes Type: Null immune to critical hits, which makes it able to set up or pivot fearlessly

Usage Tips
========
  • Type: Null can be used throughout the whole battle as it can switch into a lot of common special attackers, and can either damage them or pivot
  • If Type: Null is used as a win condition, it's preferable to get rid of Knock Off users and Fighting-type Pokemon that could stop Type: Null from sweeping before setting up. Therefore, it's usually better as a late-game cleaner
  • While Type: Null can check safely Pokemon like Delphox and Houndoom, it needs to be weary of their set up moves, as it can still get hugely damaged by the combination of their set up move and a Z-Move
