Pending Links that always go to latest usage stats

Links for usage stats require providing the date in the URL and there is no way to just get the latest stats. Such a link would be very helpful for Smogon resources, tools, roomintros and rfaqs which link to usage, because users could be sent directly to the most relevant (latest) stats without the need for the monthly updating of these resources or for users to waste time navigating from the home page. It's really a nuisance for rooms to update the links in rfaqs and intros, and old resources will be left linking to outdated stats. Tools have to go out of their way to figure out the date, either by testing dates for a valid link in a loop or scraping the date off in the home page.

There are many ways to go about this. I would suggest making it so that replacing the date with latest in the URL would redirect to the latest stats for the format given, e.g. https://www.smogon.com/stats/latest/gen9ou-1695.txt would redirect to https://www.smogon.com/stats/2023-08/gen9ou-1695.txt until the 2023-09 stats are released. If newer stats aren't released, latest simply remains at the same date.

Posting here because I was about to suggest a /usage [tier] command on PS that displays links to the most recent usage stats for the provided format, which seems to solve a similar problem

This is a cool idea! It would be very convenient for users looking for usage data and for auth to broadcast the latest links. Rfaqs and roomintros would be able to send this command like any other. Though, one issue with running commands using buttons is that this does not scroll the page down, which can be confusing. In any case, I would still be interested in a direct link for resources and tools as well.
