I think it's quite possible ep 11 ends open ended in case they want to return to Ash for a movie or special by the end of the year. I doubt TR (or even Ash) will be in the 2023 series at all, since they seem to be introducing a huge new cast with no ties to the previous series.

It's weird to think there's only 3 episodes of Ash left for the forseeable future. Granted I am pretty sure he might get a special, or TV-type movie by the end of the year, so I doubt this is the end of him forever, but it's going to be a weird feeling.
