Arceus @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Water / Fairy
Bold / Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Iron Defense / Extreme Speed

Is this really what we're using God for now? Really? Arceus makes use of its excellent bulk and reliable recovery to function on stall-based teams or as a defensive pivot on balance. Will-O-Wisp cripples foes like Zacian-C, Extreme Killer Arceus, and Koraidon, while Foul Play is Arceus's main form of damage against most Pokemon. Iron Defense provides another layer of security against Tera Fire Pokemon like Koraidon and Arceus that are immune to Will-O-Wisp while also assisting against Swords Dance Zacian-C. Extreme Speed provides Arceus with a STAB option that ignores its lack of Speed investment. 16 Speed EVs allow it to outpace neutral-natured base 90s like Ho-Oh and Kyogre. Tera Water is preferred, as it helps check Calyrex-I, Zacian-C and Necrozma-DM, while Tera Fairy gives it a better matchup against Koraidon. Ground-type Pokemon like Gliscor, Ting-Lu, and Clodsire are a must-have, as is a specially defensive tank like Blissey, as Arceus is very prone to allowing Miraidon in. Secondary answers to Koraidon like Ho-Oh and Kyogre make for excellent partners. Arceus is very reliant on Heavy-Duty Boots and therefore enjoys the presence of Knock Off absorbers like the aforementioned Gliscor and Zacian-C.

Is this really what we're using God for now? Really? This version of Arceus makes use of it's excellent bulk and reliable recovery to function on stall-based teams or as a defensive pivot on balance. 16 Speed EVs allow it to creep Adamant or Modest base 90 Speed Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Kyogre, and Dialga. not really a relevant mon in the tier atm Tera Water is preferred as it helps check Calyrex-I and Necrozma-DM add Zacian-C to this list while Tera Fairy gives it a better matchup into Koraidon. Heavy-Duty Boots allow it to switch in consistently during a battle without being worn down by hazards. Bold Nature is preferred as it helps deal with opposing Foul Play in fringe cases but Impish Nature is run on sets that utilise Extreme Speed, to provide it with extra damage. Will-O-Wisp cripples foes like Zacian-C, E-Killer Arceus, and Koraidon, while Foul Play punishes Pokemon trying to set up on Arceus with Taunt or Substitute mention that this is also arceus main form of damage vs most mons, even if its a low amt. Recover is mandatory for Arceus to keep itself healthy throughout the battle. not needed Continuing the theme of punishing physical attackers, Iron Defense provides another layer of security against Pokemon that use Tera Fire like Koraidon and EKiller Arceus who are immune to Will-O-Wisp, while also assisting against Swords Dance Zacian-C. Extreme Speed provides Arceus with a STAB option that ignores its lack of Speed investment. Stealth Rock is ran on teams that can't fit it on any of the other Pokemon. Ground-type Pokemon like Gliscor, Ting-Lu, and Clodsire are a must to have alongside Arceus can also add blissey to this list, as this set is very prone to allowing Miraidon in. Koraidon can also be a problem for Arceus, forcing it to Tera to reliably check it. As such, secondary answers to Koraidon like Ho-Oh and Kyogre make for excellent partners. Arceus is very reliant on Heavy-Duty Boots to switch in numerous times across a battle and therefore enjoys the presence of Knock Off absorbers like aforementioned Gliscor, and Zacian-C.
