Ban request for people leaving the game without forfieting

Pokemon as we all know involves deep thinking, and takes time to select a move, while you wait for the other player to move, you're spending your own mental resources and time to figure out what move you are going to make next, only for you to realise that the other player is not man enough to take the L with respect and has left the game. It is extremely frustrating and annoying and the fact that it happens so often that it makes the overall experience very bad, there is no way to differentiate a person who has just closed the window from a person who is just taking the time to think. This behaviour is going unnoticed and "just open another tab" is not the solution you might think it is, if you care about elo and the other player is taking time to think and you've just left thinking they have left, you simply just lose, and you do exactly what the issue I'm referring to is, ghost the other person leaving them hanging between you're thinking or you've left. I propose a very simple solution to that, a 3 minute ban for people that have reached the timer three consecutive games in a row. Similar punishment should be applied to people that disconnect without ffing. This does not affect anyone but the defaulters since people with bad network probably will not start three consecutive games just to be disconnected. This will be an overall quality of life change and will make a competitive game feel like a competitive game, where players play with honour and not have the ability runaway whenever things go south.

it isn't possible to distinguish between someone leaving to be a dick and someone just disconnecting from the game and we do not want to punish people for disconnecting.

This has been suggested many times but will almost certainly never be a reality, sorry!
