[OVERVIEW]

Banette has a decent Attack stat, priority moves like Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak, support moves like Will-O-Wisp, and an immunity to sleep. However, Banette has very low stats across the board otherwise, making it too frail and too slow to be viable in PU. Besides, it gets Pursuit trapped or revenge killed incredibly easily by threats like Skuntank. Even its immunity to sleep isn't unique enough to be a niche, as many Grass-types like Roselia, Abomasnow, and Lilligant are also immune to Spore and Sleep Powder anyway. In the end, there are better Ghost-types in the tier, like Golurk and Jellicent, which have higher bulk and better offensive movepools and typings.

Banette is just not strong enough to be a decent wallbreaker due to its lack of stronger STAB attacks, although it can at least pick off weaker foes with priority. As a physically offensive Pokemon, Golurk has slightly better bulk that lets it spinblock more effectively, better offensive stats, better coverage moves that allow it to hit its checks, and a better typing and mobility that allow it to hit way harder than Banette. Golurk can also support its team better with Stealth Rock.

Banette is a Pokemon that is entirely outclassed as a physical wallbreaker by Golurk, which is the only thing Banette would be decent at being otherwise. (how else does Golurk outclass it? Golurk has a better movepool, Ground STAB and higher attack.)
It is a slow Pokemon, and coupled with a weakness to Knock Off, a very important move in PU, it is also incredibly frail and gets worn down very easily.
Despite having priority moves in its arsenal like Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak, and support moves like Will-O-Wisp and Knock Off, Banette is still entirely outclassed by Golurk in the tier - it does everything Banette can do, but better. (mention how it gets pursuit trapped by Dark-types like Skuntank and Absol, thats one of Banette's major problem that can't be missed out)(You mentioned below the lack of stronger STAB move below, mention it here as well)

It also needs to rely on low Base Power priority moves to sweep (like Shadow Claw and Shadow Sneak). Banette's only niche relies on being immune to Spore and Sleep Powder, which other Pokemon are already immune to anyway (examples? The many Grass-types in our tier). Basically, Golurk has slightly better bulk, better Attack, and a better typing and ability which allows it to hit way harder than Banette.

Golurk has a powerful STAB in Earthquake, a higher Attack stat, and better coverage moves. (talk about what the coverage moves allow it to hit and why thats important) (mention that golurk also has access to rocks and is a better spinblocker since its bulkier)

In fact, it gets trapped by common Pursuit users like Absol and Skuntank, which severely limit its time on the field. (absol isnt very common, id mention stoutland here instead)
Despite having priority moves in its arsenal like Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak, and support moves like Will-O-Wisp and Knock Off, Banette's offensive movepool is made of moves with relatively low Base Power, so it has issues performing its offensive role.

Banette's only niche relies on being immune to Spore and Sleep Powder, which other Grass-types in the tier like Leafeon, Abomasnow, Roselia and Tangela are already immune to anyway. Basically, Golurk has slightly better bulk, better Attack, and a better typing and ability which allows it to hit way harder than Banette. (golurk also has better coverage and utility moves like sr)

(wouldnt say entirely just cos banetee has a few small things going for it such as being able to cripple things with willo and then being immune to sleep-inducing moves.) Golurk has a powerful STAB in Earthquake, a higher Attack stat, and better coverage moves like Ice Punch and Drain Punch, which allow it to hit Grass-Types like Liligant and Ferroseed on the switch. (ferroseed isnt pu O: id remove the drain punch mention since its not even on the analysis) Golurk is also a better spinblocker because of its higher bulk, and also blocks Choice Scarf Manectric's Volt Switch. Plus, it also has support moves like Stealth Rock in its arsenal. (merge this sentence with the previous) Banette has priority moves like Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak, and support moves like Will-O-Wisp and Knock Off, but its offensive movepool is made of moves with relatively low Base Power, so its role as a physical wallbreaker is underwhelming. It is also less bulky than the aforementioned Golurk. (just say its frail and merge with the previous sentence) Coupled with a weakness to Knock Off, a very important move in PU, (just say common)Banette is incredibly frail and gets worn down very easily. In fact, it gets walled and trapped by common Pursuit users like Stoutland and Skuntank, which severely limit its time on the field.

Banette has priority moves like Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak and support moves like Will-O-Wisp and Knock Off, but its offensive movepool is made of moves with relatively low Base Power, so its role as a physical wallbreaker is underwhelming, and it is also less bulky than Golurk. Coupled with a weakness to Knock Off, a common move in PU, Banette is incredibly frail and gets worn down very easily - in fact, it gets walled and trapped by common Pursuit users like Stoutland and Skuntank, which severely limit its time on the field.
the entire overview is super overwritten, it has a bunch of completely useless information and dilutes the very few basic points you need to make- while priority is cool, this thing is quite weak, easy to trap/KO/revenge kill, and far worse than golurk/jellicent. I can make a few comments above but like, almost hte entire overview is completely flawed and needs to be rewritten to actually get across the information it's meant to communicate.
