Adamant Nature
- Spore / Bulldoze
- Swords Dance / Bulldoze
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
[SET COMMENTS]
Breloom fulfills a variety of roles for Fighting teams, with Spore immobilizing threats like Corviknight, Pelipper, and Toxapex and operates as a revenge killer with Mach Punch. Swords Dance further boosts its great Attack and lets Breloom take advantage of forcing foes out after they have been afflicted with Spore to set up. Bulldoze can be used in place of Spore or Swords Dance to handle Poison-types that would otherwise give it problems like Okidogi and Toxapex. However, Spore and Swords Dance are usually preferred, since the former grants Breloom great utility while the latter can potentially turn it into a setup sweeper. Bullet Seed is a strong STAB move that threatens Ground-types like Clodsire and Great Tusk as well as breaking Ogerpon-C's Sturdy and OHKOing it outright after a Swords Dance boost. Mach Punch, when boosted with Swords Dance, turns Breloom into a setup sweeper, taking on faster threats like Hoopa-U, Chien-Pao, and Excadrill.
Offensive Great Tusk is one of Breloom's best teammates, as it sets up Stealth Rock to bolster Breloom's breaking and sweeping capabilities, removes entry hazards with Rapid Spin to preserve Breloom's Focus Sash, and handles sun teams thanks to Protosynthesis. In return, Breloom handles Water-types that threaten Great Tusk such as Greninja and Primarina. Keldeo and Urshifu-R not only handle Fire-types like Heatran and Ceruledge, but Keldeo also outpaces and threatens non-Choice Scarf Landorus, while Urshifu-R can revenge kill weakened sweepers and cleaners like Volcarona, Choice Scarf Iron Valiant, and Flutter Mane with Aqua Jet. Choice Scarf Sneasler and Assault Vest Iron Hands make for great teammates, as they handle Fairy-types like Flutter Mane and Enamorus for Breloom thanks to their great special bulk and, in the case of the former, its Poison typing. Additionally, Sneasler can potentially spread status with a combination of Poison Touch and Dire Claw and pivot Breloom in with U-turn, while Iron Hands handles Flying-types like Corviknight, Mandibuzz, and Articuno thanks to its Electric typing. Choice Scarf Iron Valiant, with its colorful coverage, threatens a multitude of pesky threats such as Dragapult, Latios, and physically defensive Gyarados. Iron Defense Zamazenta makes for another great partner, as it is a great answer to various physical setup sweepers such as Gouging Fire and Iron Hands and threatens them back with Body Press. Lastly, Breloom's wallbreaking enables sweepers like Agility Gallade and Unburden Sneasler to sweep late-game.
