Hey all!

So because I'm an idiot and made a mistake, let's jump forwards onto Breezi's new movepool! Fidgit gained a few new tricks with its updates, to lets see if we can get Breezi the same power boost!
Update Thread said:
Fidgit - Complete - Add Frisk, Add Drill Run, Rototiller, Wide Guard, Entrainment, After You, Role Play, Venoshock, Bulldoze, Acrobatics, Sludge Wave, Brutal Swing, Round and Confide
Menshay won the movepool with his movepool here: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...scussion-complete.3602772/page-3#post-7356208

I'll also post both Breezi's original movepool and Fidgit's updated movepool here:

I think this is all present and correct! Let me know asap if anything is wrong. Lets not forget that Breezi evolves at Level 33 and gains Drill run upon Evolution! So please don't add that to your movepool! I've noticed on a few others some new moves getting sneaked in on movepool submissions. I want to re-iterate to not add moves that are not in Fidgit's movepool. This is a reductive process.

Also: Can we have a discussion about the Hidden Ability we want Breezi to gain access to? Fidgit gained Frisk, but we already know Breezi is a much more aerial styled combatant so is there another ability that might be better?

Let's go!

Aerilat- *shot* (strike through doesn’t work on mobile lmao)

If we want a flavor ability, how about Cute Charm or Klutz? Cute Charm is because look at Breezi. Klutz because some parachutes that are faulty drop their load, so I can see some Breezi being clumsy.

Is Cloud Nine too good of a flavor ability? If not, I think it fits pretty well with the way Breezi floats through the air without a care in the world.

I think Frisk would work fine for Breezi as well. I can definitely see the argument for changing it up, considering how different Breezi and Fidgit are already.

I really like Merlee's suggestion of Cloud Nine. I think it totally fits Breezi's design, typing, and name. CAP pre-evos aren't that stringent on the competitiveness of abilities, given that they're for fun first.

When it comes to 'mons drifting around in the breeze, I think of Hoppip and Cottonee. These lines get Infiltrator as an ability, which could also fit Breezi.

I think Frisk is a perfectly fine as a Hidden Ability. Do note that Hidden Abilities rarely change between Pokemon, so Frisk really shouldn't change imo.

Probably will edit this out when I'm out of double post territory:

WIP

5 Encore
9 Safeguard
14 Knock Off

30 Body Slam
34 Sludge Bomb

44 Rest
50 Heal Block
55 Aerial Ace
55 Acrobatics
59 Lucky Chant

Most of the time, when you level up a Pokemon without evolving it for a long time, you get...at least something nice. Acrobatics is much nicer than Aerial Ace.

I think Frisk is fine, since have to give Breezi some correlation to its older brother, and is a fairly solid ability on its own considering Breezi's also utility moveset. Also supportive of Cloud Nine, but I think that Frisk is generally the better option.

The only missing new move is Sludge Wave: I added it to Fidgit due to it being a Poison/Ground type and thus having a better reason for getting a mud-related attack. Notably, fellow airborne Poison-types Gastly and Koffing cannot learn it in normal conditions (they can through events / Dream World, though).

Same additions as Fidgit (Breezi too has Trick Room so I feel the other Rooms are justified), and those pesky G3 tutors have all been moved to other places.

Tutors (all G4):
- Mud-Slap
- Ominous Wind
- Swift
- Twister

TMs:
- Secret Power (G4 TM43 / ORAS TM94)
- Endure (G4 TM58)
- Captivate (G4 TM78)
- Natural Gift (G4 TM83)
Nothing new here, though by re-reading the list I realized I forgot to re-add Endure to Fidgit's new movepool. How is this going to be handled?

Menshay It's still in its movepool on Showdown as a Transfer move, so no issues there. If you want to add it back as a transfer move that's fine, but I would advise against adding it elsewhere as it might cause issues.

Also I might host a poll for a few of the Ability options we've had come up. Personally I would prefer remaining with Frisk, but I can also understand the Cloud Nine arguments too.

I really love the idea of Infiltrator like Quanyails brought up, but I'm not sure if it would create any issues in CAPLC with Pokemon that use Substitute, so it's probably safer to stick with Frisk. It's also probably for the best flavor-wise, seeing as Pokemon don't usually get ability downgrades as they evolve (unless your name is Trapinch or Vigoroth).

OK So I am definitely leaning towards keeping Frisk as the hidden ability as the other abilities which have come up don't fit so well apart from infiltrator I don't think.

Also I am giving you guys a tentative 48 hour final submission deadline. Sunday morning UK time is when I will have a peruse and throw up a poll. As soon as that happens, I will put up a thread for the next prevos movepool!

Twister (G4 Tutor)

Additions with Competitive Implications
-Added Taunt from Fidgit's movepool to TM/HMs to add to Breezi's utility value
-Added Thief from Fidgit's movepool to TM/HMs so Breezi can blow in on the wind and steal the Eviolites off of some other CAP LC mons.
-Added Acrobatics from Fidgit's movepool to TM/HMs (and also in Level Up) so that Breezi has a better STAB option, especially with all the Knock Off users running around now that Knock Off is a real move.

Additions with Questionably Competitive Value
-Added Venoshock from Fidgit's movepool to TMs/HMs, meaning Breezi might be able to make better use of Toxic Spikes in combination against the opponent.

Flavor Additions
-Added Confide from Fidgit's movepool to TMs/HMs
-Added Round from Fidgit's movepool to TMs/HMs
-Added After You from Fidgit's movepool to Tutors

Level Up Changes for Flavor
-Moved Aerial Ace down from Lv 55 to Lv 33 as a bit of irony- Breezi becomes a master of flight right before it loses its Flying-type forever.
-Moved Lucky Chant from Lv 59 to Lv 50- it just feels like a bit of an underwhelming final move to learn, which is why I also
-Added Acrobatics at Lv 59 in its place, to have Breezi's nicest STAB move come last.
-Moved Heal Block up to Lv 54 to have it be at the same level as when Fidgit learns it. I thought it would be fun to have a small similarity hid somewhere where most people wouldn't see it seeing how different the two mons are.

Required Changes
-Moved Secret Power from TM/HMs to Transfer Moves
-Moved Skill Swap from TM/HMs to Tutors
-Moved Captivate from TM/HMs to Transfer Moves
-Changed Sleep Talk from TM82 to TM88
-Changed Natural Gift from TM/HMs to Transfer Moves
-Changed Ominous Wind from Tutors to Transfer Moves
-Changed Twister from Tutors to Transfer Moves
-Removed Body Slam from Tutors (Still in Level Up)
-Moved Double Edge from Tutors to Egg Moves
-Removed Mimic from Tutors (Still in Egg Moves)
-Moved Mud Slap from Tutors to Transfer Moves
-Added Entrainment to Egg Moves
-Moved Endure from TM/HMs to Transfer Moves

Reductions
-Removed Trick Room from Breezi's TM/HMs. I know this will be controversial, but it should have no impact on Breezi, especially seeing as Trick Room doesn't really see use in LC. It also made more sense to me flavor-wise to have this evolutionary line not learn any of the "Room" moves (specifically Trick Room) until Fidgit has Persistent and can boost the impact of Trick Room.

TL;DR: The biggest difference between my submission and Menshay's is that I chose not to add Magic Room and Wonder Room to Breezi's movepool, and I even went as far as to remove Trick Room, feeling it was better reserved for Fidgit flavor-wise, seeing as only Fidgit gets Persistent in this line.

In addition, I chose to add two additional moves to TM/HMs from Fidgit's movepool: Taunt and Thief. Taunt goes along with Breezi's supportive nature and also helps it out against some defensive Pokemon like Foongus and Spritzee. Thief is a bit more situational, but similarly helps Breezi to be supportive by stealing an Eviolite/Berry Juice/Life Orb/Choice Scarf if its item gets knocked off or consumed. This doesn't cause much issue in terms of coverage options considering Breezi already gets Knock Off.

Ok, so for my movepool, I tried to make it as simple as possible, while making sense both flavor wise and competitively wise. The major takeways of my movepool is the inclusion of Stealth Rock and the complete removal of Body Slam. I removed Body Slam from Breezi's movepool as it does not make any sense from a flavour aspect. Beezi is a lightweight wind elemental that spends almost its entire lifetime floating. The chances of it slamming its body on the opponent is very low. To back up my claims, both Whimsicott and Jumpluff, two Pokemon that I feel are the closest thing to Breezi in a floating cute mon aspect (Whimsicott represents the trickster aspect of wind, Jumpluff the far-reaching and travelling aspect of wind and Breezi the calming aspect.), cannot learn Body Slam. Now as to why i decided to ad Stealth Rock, that is more for competitive reasoning. Since Breezi is supposed to be a utility mon, i feel that it lacking Stealth Rock would severely impact its usefulness and lack reasoning to use on CAP LC Teams. Even if a flavourful explanation is required, it is not a stretch to say that it is one of the few links to its evolution and foreshadows its eventual earth-dwelling self. Other than that, its fairly standard for everything else. I left out the other rooms but kept Trick Room to show that Breeziis starting to learn how to manipulate the world around it, but lacks the full mastery that its Evolution has. I put Acrobatics as the last move in its level up movepool as I think it should learn one its powerful STAB options last.

I'll be putting the poll up shortly, but more importantly, Breezi will be also be having a poll for abilities as its what the people want.
