STAB-boosted Sunsteel Strike is Mega Lucario's main calling card, smashing through Fur Coat Mega Audino and Arceus-Fairy while dealing massive chunks to neutral Fur Coat users like Arceus-Ghost. Bolt Strike hits foes that resist Steel, such as Ho-Oh, Mega Slowbro, and Celesteela U-turn allows Mega Lucario to pivot out of Pokemon that wall it like Fur Coat Miraidon, Arceus-Poison, and Mega Slowbro while gaining momentum. Mega Lucario fits best on both balance and offense teams looking for a great wallbreaker. In return, these teams can help pressure Mega Lucario's limited number of checks. Mega Lucario can pair well with Knock Off absorbers like Arceus formes, as this set can become invalidated if it switches in to Knock Off from Ho-Oh and RegenVest Primal Kyogre.
