[OVERVIEW]

Exeggutor's high Special Attack combined with its decent movepool makes it a decent wallbreaker or sweeper, which is further enhanced by its access to Sleep Powder to cripple switch-ins such as Guzzlord and Audino. Due to the Trick Room and Choice Specs sets having different counterplay, it can be somewhat hard to deal with, as the former has a good matchup against offensive teams while the latter has a nice matchup against balance builds. This is bolstered by Exeggutor's typing and decent bulk, which allow it to switch into Water-, Grass-, Ground-, Electric-, and Fighting-type attacks from the likes of Poliwrath, Bellossom, Mudsdale, Alolan Raichu, and Hitmonchan, as well as its ability to pressure walls it come into, such as Quagsire and Regirock. However, Exeggutor suffers from mediocre speed, leaving it extremely susceptible to faster threats like Skuntank, Aurorus, Dodrio, and Scyther, although this can be remedied with Trick Room. Its STAB moves can be hard to use effectively due to Pokemon like Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash being so common, leaving it extremely reliant on making the right prediction, and even if it does, being locked into a move can be extremely costly. While its typing gives it some opportunities to come in, it also brings weaknesses to common Pokemon such as Guzzlord and Simisear and particularly to Pursuit trappers like Skuntank. U-turn from the likes of Primeape and Mesprit is also extremely annoying. Lastly, Exeggutor suffers from competition as an offensive Psychic-type from Mesprit, which can support its teammates with Healing Wish and is extremely unpredictable thanks to its large movepool. It also sees competition from Grass-types like Victreebel, which has a better typing both defensively and offensively, making it way easier for it to simply spam its STAB attacks and giving it more opportunities to come in.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Trick Room allows Exeggutor to act as a late-game sweeper and take advantage of its poor Speed. Giga Drain can be used over Leaf Storm, as it doesn't force Exeggutor to switch out due to the Special Attack drop if not running Grassium Z. Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash and Guzzlord as well as taking out threats like Aggron without having to waste the Z-Move or use Leaf Storm. Alternatively, Sleep Powder cripples switch-ins such as Alolan Sandslash, Audino, Guzzlord, and Articuno, giving a partner a free opportunity to come in.

Set Details
========

Grassium Z coupled with Leaf Storm gives Exeggutor a nuke to get past threats like slightly weakened Eelektross and even Pokemon that resist it such as Skuntank. It also ignores Leaf Storm's secondary effect of dropping the user's Special Attack. Life Orb is another possible item, as it gives all of Exeggutor's moves a boost in power, notably allowing it to always OHKO specially defensive Alolan Sandslash with Hidden Power Fighting, at the cost of losing some of its health every time it attacks and leaving it more susceptible to priority attacks. While Exeggutor isn't holding any Berry, Harvest is chosen to avoid having its Speed boosted by Chlorophyll when facing sun teams.

Usage Tips
========

Exeggutor should get its checks, such as Articuno and Guzzlord, whittled down by a teammate before trying to sweep mid- to late-game. It greatly appreciates being brought in safely via a slow U-turn or Volt Switch, as this gives it an easier time setting Trick Room or simply firing off an attack. Exeggutor can also make use of its decent bulk and typing to switch into threats like Hitmonchan, Quagsire, Lanturn, Mudsdale, and Alolan Raichu to set up Trick Room, although it has to be wary of switching into Toxic from some of them. As the Z-Move can only be used once, it should be used carefully. It should be used to get past frailer answers, such as Skuntank and Eelektross, and it shouldn't be used if your opponent has a solid switch-in to it, such as Articuno, Altaria, and Type: Null, as it could go to waste. If Exeggutor is weakened and unable to clean, it can set up Trick Room for another slow partner, such as Assault Vest Crabominable or Mudsdale, to take advantage of it.

Team Options
========

Entry hazards ease Exeggutor's job and allow it to clean more easily, as they help it weaken its checks like Guzzlord and Audino. Therefore, Pokemon such as Qwilfish and Regirock make for good options as partners, with the former also being able to punish U-turn from the likes of Scyther if it's holding a Rocky Helmet. In exchange, Exeggutor can break Pokemon that they let in, such as Mudsdale and Gastrodon. Stealth Rock Lycanroc is a good partner; Exeggutor deals with its checks such as Regirock and Mudsdale, while Exeggutor's checks like Articuno and Clefairy lose to Lycanroc. Froslass is an incredible partner, as it can set Spikes, easing Exeggutor's job, as well as beat walls like defensive Articuno and Audino thanks to Taunt and greatly chip or cripple Skuntank with either repeated attacks or Will-O-Wisp. Depending on the set, it can also cripple the aforementioned walls with Trick or weaken Guzzlord for Exeggutor. Exeggutor appreciates Volt Switch and U-turn users such as Lanturn, Primeape, and Mesprit, as they allow it to come onto the field safely. Lanturn deals with Fire-types like Simisear, provides Heal Bell support, and can cripple Guzzlord with Toxic; Primeape can offensively check Dark-types like Alolan Persian and Guzzlord and can bring Exeggutor in on its checks, such as Quagsire for Exeggutor, to deal with them; and Mesprit provides hazards and gives Exeggutor a second chance to clean with Healing Wish. Other special wallbreakers and sweepers can be used alongside Exeggutor for it to get past its checks more easily. Therefore, threats such as Guzzlord, which can also remove items from walls like Clefairy, make for decent partners. Since Dark-types like Skuntank, Guzzlord, and Absol greatly threaten Exeggutor, answers to them such as Hitmonchan, Gurdurr, and Assault Vest Crabominable work very well alongside it. The latter two can also take advantage of the Trick Room Exeggutor sets, making them even better partners, and Crabominable is able to switch into Ice-types like Aurorus for Exeggutor.

[SET]
name: Choice Specs
move 1: Leaf Storm
move 2: Psychic / Psyshock
move 3: Hidden Power Fighting
move 4: Giga Drain / Sleep Powder
item: Choice Specs
ability: Chlorophyll
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Psyshock is a nice option over Psychic, as it allows Exeggutor to hit threats such as Audino, Articuno, Eelektross, and Clefairy harder. Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash and Guzzlord, which would otherwise wall Exeggutor. Giga Drain gives Exeggutor a secondary STAB attack used when Leaf Storm's power isn't needed. It also partially negates chip damage Exeggutor takes. Sleep Powder is another option, as it can cripple Exeggutor's checks, such as Audino, Articuno, and Guzzlord, although being locked into it can result in a huge loss in momentum.

Set Details
========

A Modest nature allows Exeggutor to hit as hard as possible, notably allowing it to always 2HKO non-Assault Vest Guzzlord with Hidden Power Fighting. Alternatively, a Timid nature allows it to outspeed threats such as Jolly Aggron, specially defensive Articuno, and Modest Choice Specs Jellicent.

Usage Tips
========

Exeggutor should be used to wallbreak early- to mid-game for a partner to clean. It can also be used to switch into threats such as Mudsdale, Regirock, and Hitmonchan thanks to its bulk and typing and proceed to wallbreak, although it has to be cautious of Toxic when switching in. However, even if it can come in directly on certain threats, Exeggutor really appreciates being brought it in via U-turn or Volt Switch. Be cautious of what move you lock Exeggutor into, as using a Psychic move can be costly if your opponent has a Dark-type such as Skuntank, which would Pursuit trap Exeggutor, or Guzzlord. Locking Exeggutor into Sleep Powder is also not recommended if there's a Pokemon that could take advantage of that, such as Bellossom. Even if Exeggutor is rather slow, it can be used to revenge kill threats such as Aggron and even faster threats like Jellicent and Aurorus if it's using a Timid nature.

Team Options
========

Physical wallbreakers work really well alongside Exeggutor. Stoutland is a perfect example, as it can deal with Exeggutor's checks like Articuno, while Exeggutor can deal with Stoutland's checks, such as Regirock. Volt Switch and U-turn users work really well alongside Exeggutor due to their ability to bring in Exeggutor safely. Both Scyther and Primeape work well alongside Exeggutor, and they have a solid offensive synergy. Scyther and Primeape also lure in their checks, such as Regirock and defensive Mesprit, respectively, for Exeggutor to deal with. In exchange, they can deal with Dark-types, and the latter can handle Steel-types for Exeggutor. Another good example is Eelektross, which can punish the checks Exeggutor and it have in common with Knock Off. Entry hazards greatly help Exeggutor and make it even harder to switch into. Froslass shares decent offensive synergy with Exeggutor, while Regirock invites in Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and takes care of Skuntank for Exeggutor. Lastly, Exeggutor appreciates answers to the threats it invites depending on what it locks itself in. Specially defensive Alolan Sandslash, Regirock, Mudsdale, and Gurdurr can deal with Skuntank, while Oricorio-E can deal with Scyther.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Low Kick can be used to hit Guzzlord harder, but this comes at the cost of some bulk, as Exeggutor will be forced to run a nature lowering one of its defenses. Exeggutor can also simply cripple it with Sleep Powder and let another teammate deal with it. Hidden Power Ground can be used over Hidden Power Fighting to hit Skuntank harder, but Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash are more important targets. A set based around Harvest and a Sitrus Berry can be used, but it's extremely unreliable and vulnerable to Knock Off and applies way less offensive pressure, making it extremely passive. Finally, a set based around Chlorophyll can work, but it's heavily outclassed by Victreebel, and sun is a rather mediocre playstyle.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Guzzlord and Skuntank pose an immense threat, with the former completely walling Exeggutor, while the latter can Pursuit trap it. However, Skuntank doesn't appreciate switching in on the Choice Specs set, and both dislike Sleep Powder. Other Dark-types such as Black Hole Eclipse + Nasty Plot Alolan Persian and Alolan Raticate can act as checks, even if they can't switch in. The latter can also check it when under Trick Room thanks to Sucker Punch, although it's susceptible to getting put to sleep.

**Special Walls**: Walls such as Audino and Articuno are troublesome and make it harder for Exeggutor to sweep or wallbreak. Audino can remove Exeggutor's item thanks to Knock Off, while Articuno can 2HKO it with Freeze-Dry, although they both dislike taking Psyshock from the Choice Specs set.

**Faster Threats and Priority Move Users**: Faster threats such as Simisear and Dodrio can easily revenge kill Exeggutor out of Trick Room. Under Trick Room, priority moves users such as Kangaskhan, which can stall out Trick Room turns with Fake Out, and Abomasnow can revenge kill a slightly weakened Exeggutor, although they risk getting 2HKOed if they switch into an attack.

**Super Effective Coverage**: Coverage such as U-turn from Mesprit and Primeape and Knock Off from Gurdurr can greatly weaken or cripple Exeggutor. This also means that, while it would like to, it can't check them. Other users of these moves like Scyther can also easily OHKO Exeggutor.

  • Nice Special Attack combined with a decent movepool, allowing it to be a rather threatening wallbreaker or sweeper. Its support movepool also allows it to punish switchins, such as Guzzlord and Audino, with Sleep Powder
  • Somewhat hard to deal with, as both Trick Room and Choice Specs have different counterplay (clarify this point a bit, since specs has the better balance mu while trick toom is better versus smth like ho)
  • Decent defensive typing and bulk, allowing it to switch into Water-, Grass, Ground, Electric, and Fighting-types attacks from the likes of Poliwrath, non-Breakneck Blitz Lilligant, Mudsdale, Alolan Raichu, and Hitmonchan (note how it can heavily pressure passive pokemon like regirock/quagsire/mudsdale like you mentioned).
  • Suffers from a mediocre speed, leaving it extremely susceptible to faster threats like Skuntank, Alolan Persian, Dodrio, and Scyther, although this can be remediated with Trick Room
  • (note how its stab moves are difficult to click due to the ubiquity of pokemon like alolaslash/guzzlord which is especially troublesome for the specs set)
  • Its typing also brings weaknesses to common Pokemon such as Guzzlord, Skuntank, and Simisear, and particularly to Pursuit trapping (emphasize uturn here too since even passive pokemon like mesprit can take a big chunk out of it).
  • Suffers from competition as an offensive Psychic-type and Grass-type from Mesprit, which is faster and can support its teammates with Healing Wish, Lilligant, which can boost with Quiver Dance while being faster, and Victreebel, which has a better offensive typing (these are also naturally faster).

Moves
========
  • Trick Room allows Exeggutor to act as a late game sweeper and it takes advantage of its poor Speed.
  • Giga Drain can be used over Leaf Storm as it allows Exeggutor to be played more recklessly (i mean, you can play leaf storm aggressively too? i'd just talk about how its a bit more consistent if not running grass z) and sent in on threats like Regirock while also not forcing Exeggutor to switch out due to the Special Attack drop (+ slight recovery).
  • Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash and Guzzlord while also allowing it to hit threats like Aggron without having to waste the Z-Move or use Leaf Storm.
  • Sleep Powder cripples switchins such as Alolan Sandslash, Audino, and Articuno (note guzzlord here too), allowing Exeggutor to potentially get past them later in the game, and it also gives a partner a free opportunity to come in (you can also punish pokemon like skunktank or absol for using sucker punch).
Set Details
========
  • No Speed IVs and a Quiet nature make Exeggutor as slow as possible, allowing it to fully take advantage of Trick Room (this is kinda obvious imo)
  • Grassium Z coupled with Leaf Storm gives Exeggutor a nuke to get past threats like Eelektross, and even resists such as Skuntank. It also ignores Leaf Storm's secondary effect of dropping the user's Special Attack
  • Life Orb is another possible item as it gives all of Exeggutor's moves a boost in power, notably allowing it to always OHKO specially defensive Alolan Sandslash with Hidden Power Fighting at the cost of losing some of its health everytime it attacks
  • A Harvest nature is choosen because, while Exeggutor isn't holding any berry, it means that its Speed isn't boosted by Chlorophyll when facing Sun teams
Usage Tips
========
  • Exeggutor should try to whittle down its checks, such as Articuno and Guzzlord, with repeated attacks before trying to sweep mid- to late-game (mention that it should also have its team do this since eggy doesnt have the easiest time whittling these given the former's access to recovery and the latter just sitting on this thing if eggy has the wrong set).
  • Exeggutor appreciates being brought in via a slow U-turn or Volt Switch, as it gives it an easier time setting Trick Room or simply fire off an attack.
  • It can also make use of its decent bulk and typing to switch on threats like Hitmonchan and Mudsdale (or can outright set up tr on these. include other examples of pokemon it can force out/exploit in order to set up tr)
  • As the Z-Move can only be used once, it should be used carefully. It should be used to get past frailer answers, such as Skuntank and Eelektross. It can also be used to grab a crucial K.O on threats like (assault vest) Lanturn. The Z-Move shouldn't be used if your opponent has a solid switchin to it, such as Articuno, Altaria and Type: Null.
Team Options
========
  • Entry hazards ease Exeggutor's job and allow it to clean easier, as they help it weaken its checks like Guzzlord and Audino. Therefore, entry hazards setters, such as Qwilfish and Stunfisk (something more viable here?) make for good options as partners, the latter being able to punish U-turn. A particularly formidable partner is Froslass, as it can weaken Exeggutor's checks such as Guzzlord and Skuntank. Stealth Rock Lycanroc is another good partner, as Lycanroc checks, such as Regirock and Mudsdale, are dealt with with Exeggutor while Exeggutor's checks like Articuno and Clefairy lose to Lycanroc.
  • Volt Switch and U-turn users allow Exeggutor to come in on the field safely, which it greatly appreciates. Therefore, Lanturn and Primeape make for good partners. Lanturn deals with Fire-types like Simisear while Primeape can check Dark-types like Alolan Persian and Guzzlord (smth like primeape can also lure setup targets for eggy like quagsire).
  • Other special wallbreakers and sweepers can be used alongside Exeggutor as it allows it to get past its checks easier. Therefore, threats such as Guzzlord, which can remove items from walls like Clefairy make for decent partners.
  • Answers to Dark-types like Skuntank, Guzzlord, and Absol are greatly appreciated. Gurdurr, Hitmonchan, and Crabominable work very well alongside Exeggutor due to this, making them good partners.

  • Entry hazards greatly help Exeggutor and make it even harder to switch into. Therefore, entry hazards setters make for good choice. Froslass shares a decent offensive synergy with Exeggutor while Regirock invites in Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and takes care of Skuntank for Exeggutor
  • Answers to the threats Exeggutor invites in depending on what it locks itself in are mandatory. Specially defensive Alolan Sandslash deals with Skuntank and non-Hidden Power Fire Lilligant, and Regirock, Mudsdale, and Gurdurr can deal with the former, while Oricorio-E can deal with the latter. (ngl this bullet is a tad long-winding and difficult for the average reader to digest, especially since you get a bit ambigious with the whole "former and latter" thing around the end.)
  • (mention other answers to steels and darks since their removal allows eggy to liberally spam its stabs. skuntank can notably pursuit trap stuff like bronzor and metang or bait alolaslash with fire blast)

  • Low Kick can be used to hit Guzzlord harder, but this comes at the cost of some bulk as Exeggutor while be forced to run a nature lowering one of its defense. Exeggutor can also simply cripple it with Sleep Powder and let another member of the team deal with it
  • An alternative spread of 180 HP / 252 SpA / 76 Spe can be used on the Choice Specs set, as it allows it to outspeed utility Jellicent while providing it with more bulk (does the bulk do anything? otherwise defensive mesprit uturns, spdef snowslash is faster, and you cant outspeed stuff like adamant aggron)
  • Hidden Power Ground can be used over Hidden Power Fighting as it hits Skuntank harder, but hitting Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash harder is more important
  • A set based around Harvest and a Sitrus Berry can be used, but it's extremely unreliable and vulnerable to Knock Off (you also apply considerably less offensive pressure without z move/specs)
  • (chlorophyll sweeper)

**Super effective coverage**: U-turn from the likes of Mesprit and Primeape is extremely annoying, and can chip it down extremely fast (note scyther since it can straight ohko trick room sets). Knock Off from Pokemon like Gurdurr can also be annoying

  • Suffers from a mediocre speed, leaving it extremely susceptible to faster threats like Skuntank, Alolan Persian, Dodrio, and Scyther, although this can be remediated with Trick Room (i mean, both np and standard persian have to get a decent amount of chip before it can deal with it, unless it pops its z move)
  • Its STAB moves can be hard to click due to Pokemon like Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash being so common.

U-turn from the likes of Primeape and Mesprit is also extremely annoying. (say pursuit trapping from skuntank. you'll want to link these two as you've mentioned skuntank prior which is semi-irrelevant)
  • Suffers from competition as an offensive Psychic-type and Grass-type from Mesprit (split the way you've worded this up just so it makes sense relating to the mons) (also which mes sets? or just offensive mesprits in general, because that also includes scarf mesprit), which can support its teammates with Healing Wish, Lilligant (ded), which can boost with Quiver Dance while being faster, and Victreebel, which has a better offensive typing. Also, these are all faster than Exeggutor.

(eggy isn't getting past any of these mons unless you get max sleep rolls on audino or articuno, i'd just keep the bit about letting a partner deal with em)
Set Details
========
  • Grassium Z coupled with Leaf Storm gives Exeggutor a nuke to get past threats like Eelektross, and even resists such as Skuntank. It also ignores Leaf Storm's secondary effect of dropping the user's Special Attack (i'd say chipped eelektross, athough in terms of the match up game both life orb and grass z both beat it 1v1, with one meaning you're chipped more)
  • Life Orb is another possible item as it gives all of Exeggutor's moves a boost in power, notably allowing it to always OHKO specially defensive Alolan Sandslash with Hidden Power Fighting at the cost of losing some of its health everytime it attacks.

It can also be used to grab a crucial K.O on threats like Assault Vest Lanturn. The Z-Move shouldn't be used if your opponent has a solid switchin to it, such as Articuno, Altaria and Type: Null.
  • i don't think this point is explored enough on otr users. it can set up trick room and actually allow another slow pokemon on the team to sweep if it's near death
Team Options

  • Entry hazards ease Exeggutor's job and allow it to clean easier, as they help it weaken its checks like Guzzlord and Audino. Therefore, entry hazards setters, such as Qwilfish and Regirock make for good options as partners, the former being able to punish U-turn if it's holding a Rocky Helmet (u-turn from what?). A particularly formidable partner is Froslass, as it can weaken Exeggutor's checks such as Guzzlord and Skuntank (meh. i think this should be maybe explained a bit better. give lass it's own section. it's not cut n dry with how it can "beat" these two like standard lass can use ice beam sometimes but often would have to rely on getting destiny bond predictions correct). Stealth Rock Lycanroc is another good partner, as Lycanroc checks, such as Regirock and Mudsdale, are dealt with with Exeggutor while Exeggutor's checks like Articuno and Clefairy lose to Lycanroc
  • Volt Switch and U-turn users allow Exeggutor to come in on the field safely, which it greatly appreciates (you should specify slow volt-turners). Therefore, Lanturn and Primeape make for good partners. Lanturn deals with Fire-types like Simisear while Primeape can (offensively) check Dark-types like Alolan Persian and Guzzlord and can bring Exeggutor on its checks, such as Gurdurr and Quagsire for Exeggutor to deal with them.
(crab and gurdurr both benefit from tr from eggy. please specify av crab as not av is a bad dark-type check because it just dies)

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Psyshock is a nice option over Psychic as it allows it to hit threats such as Audino, Articuno, Eelektross, and Clefairy harder
  • Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash and Guzzlord, which would otherwise wall Exeggutor
  • Giga Drain gives Exeggutor a secondary STAB attack used when Leaf Storm's power isn't needed. It also partially negates chip damage Exeggutor takes.
  • Alternatively, Sleep Powder can cripple Exeggutor's checks, such as Audino, Articuno, and Altaria, although being locked on Sleep Powder can result in a huge loss in momentum. (alt has natural cure so it really isn't crippled)
Set Details
========
  • Chlorophyll boosts Exeggutor's Speed under Sun, slightly increasing its matchup against Sun teams. (it still has the same sun mu as it would without this ability. it is the slowest sun abuser so it rlly aint gonna be outspeeding anything)
  • A Modest nature allows Exeggutor to hit as hard as possible, notably allowing it to always 2HKO Guzzlord with Hidden Power Fighting (is this including av?)
  • Alternatively, a Timid nature allows it to outspeed threats such as Jolly Aggron, Articuno, and Modest Choice Specs Jellicent (state spd articuno as it is still way slower than subroost)
Usage Tips
========
  • Exeggutor should be used to wallbreak early- to mid-game (can be expanded very basic point)
  • It can also be used to switch into threats such as Mudsdale, Regirock, and Hitmonchan thanks to its bulk and typing, but Exeggutor really appreciates being brought it in via U-turn or Volt Switch (has to be aware of toxic tho) (forces em out and smacks stuff with powerful moves)
  • Be cautious of what you lock Exeggutor in, as clicking a Psychic move can be costly if your opponent has a Dark-type such as Skuntank, which would Pursuit trap it, and Guzzlord. Locking yourself into Sleep Powder is also not recommended if there's a Pokemon that could take advantage of that, such as Lilligant. (remove lilli ofc)
  • While it's rather slow, it can be used to revenge kill threats such as Aggron and even faster threats like Jellicent and Aurorus if Exeggutor is using a Timid nature.
Team Options
========
  • Physical wallbreakers work really well alongside Exeggutor. Stoutland is a perfect example of this, as it can deal with Exeggutor's checks like Articuno while Exeggutor can deal with Stoutland's checks, such as Regirock.
  • Volt Switch and U-turn users work really well alongside Exeggutor due to their ability to bring in Exeggutor safely. Both Scyther and Primeape work well alongside Exeggutor, and they have a solid offensive synergy. Scyther and Primeape also lure in their checks, such as Regirock and Gurdurr respectively for Exeggutor to deal with them. In exchange, they can can deal with Dark-types and the latter can deal with Steel-types for Exeggutor. Another good example is Eelektross, which can punish the checks Exeggutor and it have in common with Knock Off (my only issue with listing gurdurr is that any player using a gurdurr vs a primeape will click knock off so you're essentially switching in to a move that's gonna cripple you) (really it wants slower volt-turners, doesn't like taking many hits) (scyther is still fine though)
Specially defensive Alolan Sandslash deals with Skuntank and non-Hidden Power Fire Lilligant (ded), and Regirock, Mudsdale, and Gurdurr can deal with Skuntank, while Oricorio-E can deal with Lilligant (ded).
maybe mention a few other mons, you mention the same quite a few times

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Low Kick can be used to hit Guzzlord harder, but this comes at the cost of some bulk as Exeggutor while be forced to run a nature lowering one of its defense. Exeggutor can also simply cripple it with Sleep Powder and let another member of the team deal with it
  • An alternative spread of 180 HP / 252 SpA / 76 Spe can be used on the Choice Specs set, as it allows it to outspeed utility Jellicent while providing it with more bulk
  • Hidden Power Ground can be used over Hidden Power Fighting as it hits Skuntank harder, but hitting Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash harder is more important
  • A set based around Harvest and a Sitrus Berry can be used, but it's extremely unreliable and vulnerable to Knock Off and it applies way less offensive pressure.
  • A set based around Chlorophyll can work, but it's heavily outclassed by Victreebel and even Lilligant (ded), and sun is a rather mediocre playstyle.
ngl these all seem p trash. you don't have to have other options

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Guzzlord and Skuntank pose an immense threat, with the former completely walling it while the latter can Pursuit trap it. However, Skuntank can't switch in into the Choice Specs set and both dislike Sleep Powder. Other Dark-types such as Alolan Persian and Alolan Raticate can act as checks, even if they can't switch in (see overview for my view on alolan persian). The latter can also check it when under Trick Room thanks to Sucker Punch, although it's susceptible to getting put to sleep.

**Special walls**: Walls such as Audino and Articuno are troublesome and make it harder for Exeggutor to sweep or wallbreak. The former can remove Exeggutor's item thanks to Knock Off while Articuno can 2HKO it with Freeze Dry (they both hate dealing with psyshock versions of the specs set tho)

**Faster threats and priority moves users**: Faster threats such as Alolan Persian (already mentioned alolan persian don't mention again) and Dodrio can easily revenge kill Exeggutor out of Trick Room. Under Trick Room, priority moves users such as Kangaskhan and Abomasnow can revenge kill a slightly weakened Exeggutor, although they risk getting 2HKOed if they switch on an attack. (kangaskhan's fake out also stalls a turn of trick room, which is worth a mention)

**Super effective coverage**: U-turn from the likes of Mesprit, Primeape and Scyther is extremely annoying, and can chip it down extremely fast, with the latter's U-turn even OHKOing it. Knock Off from Pokemon like Gurdurr can also be annoying (ape can ko 50% of the time so maybe mention that) (you could also phrase this about super effective coverage from pokemon it "checks")

[OVERVIEW]

Exeggutor's high Special Attack combined with a decent movepool allow it to be a rather threatening wallbreaker or sweeper and this is further enhanced by its access to Sleep Powder, which allows it to cripple switchins, such as Guzzlord and Audino. (its not that threatening tbh, it was just unranked afterall) Due to Trick Room and Choice Specs' different counterplay, it can be somewhat hard to deal with, as the Trick Room set has a good matchup against offensive teams while the Choice Specs one has a nice matchup against balance builds. This is bolstered by its typing and decent bulk which allow it to switch into Water-, Grass, Ground, Electric, and Fighting-types attacks from the likes of Poliwrath, Bellossom, Mudsdale, Alolan Raichu, and Hitmonchan. This is further enhanced by its ability to pressure walls it come into, such as Quagsire and Regirock. However, it suffers from having a mediocre speed, leaving it extremely susceptible to faster threats like Skuntank, Aurorus, Dodrio, and Scyther, although this can be remediated with Trick Room. Its STAB moves can be hard to click due to Pokemon like Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash being so common, leaving it extremely reliant on doing the right prediction. (and even if it predicts correctly, being locked into a move can be costly)While its typing gives it some opportunities to come in, it also brings weaknesses to common Pokemon such as Guzzlord and Simisear, and particularly to Pursuit trapping from the likes of Skuntank. U-turn from the likes of Primeape and Mesprit is also extremely annoying. Lastly, it suffers from competition as an offensive Psychic-type from Mesprit, which can support its teammates with Healing Wish and is extremely unpredictable thanks to its large movepool. It also sees competition from Grass-types like Victreebel, which has a better typing both defensively and offensively, making it way easier for it to simply spam its STAB and give it more opportunities to come in.

Moves
========

Trick Room allows Exeggutor to act as a late game sweeper and it takes advantage of its poor Speed. Giga Drain can be used over Leaf Storm as it doesn't force Exeggutor to switch out due to the Special Attack drop if not running Grassium Z. Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash and Guzzlord while also allowing it to hit threats like Aggron without having to waste the Z-Move or use Leaf Storm. Alternatively, Sleep Powder cripples switchins such as Alolan Sandslash, Audino, Guzzlord, and Articuno, giving a partner a free opportunity to come in.

Set Details
========

Grassium Z coupled with Leaf Storm gives Exeggutor a nuke to get past threats like slightly weakened Eelektross, and even resists such as Skuntank. It also ignores Leaf Storm's secondary effect of dropping the user's Special Attack. Life Orb is another possible item as it gives all of Exeggutor's moves a boost in power, notably allowing it to always OHKO specially defensive Alolan Sandslash with Hidden Power Fighting at the cost of losing some of its health everytime it attacks and leaving it more susceptible to priority attacks. Harvest is choosen because, while Exeggutor isn't holding any berry, it means that its Speed isn't boosted by Chlorophyll when facing Sun teams.

Usage Tips
========

Exeggutor should get its checks, such as Articuno and Guzzlord, whittled down by a teammate before trying to sweep mid- to late-game. It greatly appreciates being brought in via a slow U-turn or Volt Switch, as it gives it an easier time setting Trick Room or simply fire off an attack. (it also gets brought onto the field safely this way) Exeggutor can also make use of its decent bulk and typing to switch on threats like Hitmonchan, Quagsire, Lanturn, Mudsdale, and Alolan Raichu to setup Trick Room, although it has to be wary of switching into Toxic from some of them. As the Z-Move can only be used once, it should be used carefully. It should be used to get past frailer answers, such as Skuntank and Eelektross or to grab a crucial K.O on threats like Assault Vest Lanturn. (idk how crucial av lanturn is. skunk/eel are fine examples) The Z-Move shouldn't be used if your opponent has a solid switchin to it, such as Articuno, Altaria and Type: Null, as it could go to waste. If Exeggutor is weakened and unable to clean, it can setup Trick Room for another slow partner, such as Assault Vest Crabominable and Mudsdale to take advantage of it.

Team Options
========

Entry hazards ease Exeggutor's job and allow it to clean easier, as they help it weaken its checks like Guzzlord and Audino. Therefore, entry hazards setters, such as Qwilfish and Regirock make for good options as partners, the former being able to punish U-turn from the likes of Scyther if it's holding a Rocky Helmet. (In return, eggy breaks stuff like tangela and gastrodon for them) Stealth Rock Lycanroc is a good partner, as Lycanroc checks, such as Regirock and Mudsdale, are dealt with with Exeggutor while Exeggutor's checks like Articuno and Clefairy lose to Lycanroc. Froslass is an incredible partner as it can set Spikes, easing Exeggutor's job. Froslass can beat walls like (defensive) Articuno and Audino thanks to Taunt and can greatly chip or cripple Skuntank with either repeated attacks or Will-O-Wisp. Depending on the set, it can also cripple the aforementioned walls with Trick or it can also deal with Guzzlord for Exeggutor. (id say chip guzz for eggy) It appreciates slow Volt Switch and U-turn users as they allow Exeggutor to come in on the field safely. Therefore, Lanturn, Mesprit, and Primeape make for good partners. Lanturn deals with Fire-types like Simisear (lanturn also provides heal bell support and can cripple stuff like guzz with toxic) while Primeape can offensively check Dark-types like Alolan Persian and Guzzlord and can bring Exeggutor on its checks, such as Quagsire for Exeggutor to deal with them. Mesprit provides hazards and gives Exeggutor second chance to clean with Healing Wish. Other special wallbreakers and sweepers can be used alongside Exeggutor as it allows it to get past its checks easier. Therefore, threats such as Guzzlord, which can remove items from walls like Clefairy make for decent partners. Since Dark-types like Skuntank, Guzzlord, and Absol greatly threaten Exeggutor, answers to them such as Gurdurr, Hitmonchan, and Assault Vest Crabominable work very well alongside Exeggutor. The former and the latter can also take advantage of the Trick Room Exeggutor sets, making them even better partners, and the latter is able to switch into Ice-types like Aurorus for Exeggutor.

(optional, repetition) A set based around Harvest and a Sitrus Berry can be used, but it's extremely unreliable and vulnerable to Knock Off and it applies way less offensive pressure, making it extremely passive. Finally, a set based around Chlorophyll can work, but it's heavily outclassed by Victreebel, and sun is a rather mediocre playstyle.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Guzzlord and Skuntank pose an immense threat, with the former completely walling it Exeggutor while the latter can Pursuit trap it. However, Skuntank doesn't appreciate to switch in on the Choice Specs set, (AC) and both dislike Sleep Powder. Other Dark-types such as Blackhole Black Hole Eclipse + Nasty Plot Alolan Persian and Alolan Raticate can act as checks, even if they can't switch in. The latter can also check it when under Trick Room thanks to Sucker Punch, although it's susceptible to getting put to sleep.

**Special Walls**: Walls such as Audino and Articuno are troublesome and make it harder for Exeggutor to sweep or wallbreak. The former can remove Exeggutor's item thanks to Knock Off, (AC) while Articuno can 2HKO it with Freeze-Dry, (AH) although they both dislike taking Psyshock from the Choice Specs set.

**Faster Threats and Priority Moves Users**: Faster threats such as Simisear and Dodrio can easily revenge kill Exeggutor out of Trick Room. Under Trick Room, priority moves users such as Kangaskhan, which can stall out Trick Room turn with Fake Out, and Abomasnow can revenge kill a slightly weakened Exeggutor, although they risk getting 2HKOed if they switch on an attack.

This is bolstered by its Exeggutor's typing and decent bulk, which allow it to switch into Water-, Grass-, Ground-, Electric-, and Fighting-types Fighting-type attacks from the likes of Poliwrath, Bellossom, Mudsdale, Alolan Raichu, and Hitmonchan, as well as its ability to pressure walls it come into, such as Quagsire and Regirock. However, it Exeggutor suffers from mediocre speed, leaving it extremely susceptible to faster threats like Skuntank, Aurorus, Dodrio, and Scyther, although this can be remedied with Trick Room. Its STAB moves can be hard to use effectively due to Pokemon like Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash being so common, leaving it extremely reliant on making the right prediction, and even if it does, being locked on into a move can be extremely costly. While its typing gives it some opportunities to come in, it also brings weaknesses to common Pokemon such as Guzzlord and Simisear and particularly to Pursuit trappers like Skuntank. U-turn from the likes of Primeape and Mesprit is also extremely annoying. Lastly, it Exeggutor suffers from competition as an offensive Psychic-type from Mesprit, which can support its teammates with Healing Wish and is extremely unpredictable thanks to its large movepool. It also sees competition from Grass-types like Victreebel, which has a better typing both defensively and offensively, making it way easier for it to simply spam its STAB attacks and giving it more opportunities to come in.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Set Details
========

Grassium Z coupled with Leaf Storm gives Exeggutor a nuke to get past threats like slightly weakened Eelektross,(RC) and even Pokemon that resist it such as Skuntank.

Usage Tips
========

Exeggutor should get its checks, such as Articuno and Guzzlord, whittled down by a teammate before trying to sweep mid- to late-game. It greatly appreciates being brought in safely via a slow U-turn or Volt Switch, as it this gives it an easier time setting Trick Room or simply firing off an attack. Exeggutor can also make use of its decent bulk and typing to switch on into threats like Hitmonchan, Quagsire, Lanturn, Mudsdale, and Alolan Raichu to set up Trick Room, although it has to be wary of switching into Toxic from some of them. As the Z-Move can only be used once, it should be used carefully. It should be used to get past frailer answers, such as Skuntank and Eelektross, and it shouldn't be used if your opponent has a solid switch-in to it, such as Articuno, Altaria,(AC) and Type: Null, as it could go to waste. If Exeggutor is weakened and unable to clean, it can set up Trick Room for another slow partner, such as Assault Vest Crabominable or Mudsdale, to take advantage of it.

Team Options
========

Stealth Rock Lycanroc is a good partner,(RC);(SC) Exeggutor deals with its checks such as Regirock and Mudsdale, while Exeggutor's checks like Articuno and Clefairy lose to Lycanroc. Exeggutor appreciates Volt Switch and U-turn users such as Lanturn, Primeape,(AC) and Mesprit, as they allow it to come onto the field safely. Lanturn deals with Fire-types like Simisear, provides Heal Bell support, and can cripple Guzzlord with Toxic; Primeape can offensively check Dark-types like Alolan Persian and Guzzlord and can bring Exeggutor in on its checks, such as Quagsire for Exeggutor, to deal with them; while and Mesprit provides hazards and gives Exeggutor a second chance to clean with Healing Wish.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Exeggutor should be used to wallbreak early- to mid-game for a partner to clean. It can also be used to switch into threats such as Mudsdale, Regirock, and Hitmonchan thanks to its bulk and typing and proceed to wallbreaker wallbreak, although it has to be cautious of Toxic when switching in. However, even if it can come in directly on certain threats, Exeggutor really appreciates being brought it in via U-turn or Volt Switch. Be cautious of what move you lock Exeggutor into, as clicking using a Psychic move can be costly if your opponent has a Dark-type such as Skuntank, which would Pursuit trap Exeggutor, or Guzzlord.

========

Physical wallbreakers work really well alongside Exeggutor. Stoutland is a perfect example of this, as it can deal with Exeggutor's checks like Articuno, while Exeggutor can deal with Stoutland's checks, such as Regirock. In exchange, they can can deal with Dark-types, and the latter can deal with handle (repetition) Steel-types for Exeggutor. Another good example is Eelektross, which can punish the checks Exeggutor and it have in common with Knock Off. Entry hazards greatly help Exeggutor and make it even harder to switch into. Froslass shares a decent offensive synergy with Exeggutor, while Regirock invites in Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and takes care of Skuntank for Exeggutor. Lastly, Exeggutor appreciates answers to the threats it invites in depending on what it locks itself in. Specially defensive Alolan Sandslash, Regirock, Mudsdale, and Gurdurr can deal with Skuntank, while Oricorio-E can deal with Scyther.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Low Kick can be used to hit Guzzlord harder, but this comes at the cost of some bulk, as Exeggutor will be forced to run a nature lowering one of its defenses. Exeggutor can also simply cripple it with Sleep Powder and let another member of the teammate deal with it.

===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Guzzlord and Skuntank pose an immense threat, with the former completely walling Exeggutor,(AC) while the latter can Pursuit trap it. However, Skuntank doesn't appreciate to switch switching in on the Choice Specs set, and both dislike Sleep Powder.

The former Audino can remove Exeggutor's item thanks to Knock Off, while Articuno can 2HKO it with Freeze-Dry, although they both dislike taking Psyshock from the Choice Specs set.

**Faster Threats and Priority Move Users**: Faster threats such as Simisear and Dodrio can easily revenge kill Exeggutor out of Trick Room. Under Trick Room, priority moves users such as Kangaskhan, which can stall out Trick Room turns with Fake Out, and Abomasnow can revenge kill a slightly weakened Exeggutor, although they risk getting 2HKOed if they switch on into an attack.
