Timid Nature

- Power Gem
[SET COMMENTS]
Flutter Mane is the premier Choice Specs user on Ghost teams thanks to its amazing Special Attack and Speed, outpacing Pokemon like Greninja and Gengar, with immense coverage giving it tools for every situation. Moonblast is both Flutter Mane's strongest move and can remove problematic Dark- and Dragon-types like Greninja, Hydreigon, and Archaludon with ease. Shadow Ball gives Flutter Mane a STAB option into Fairy-resistant foes like Amoonguss and allows it to threaten slower Ghost-type threats like Gholdengo and Sinistcha. Thunderbolt shocks Water- and Flying-types like Toxapex, Empoleon, Corviknight, and Enamorus. Finally, Power Gem shatters problematic Ice- and Fire-types including Alolan Ninetales, Frosmoth, Ogerpon-H, and Volcarona.
Spikes support from the likes of Brambleghast and Froslass helps chip down special walls such as Alolan Muk, Hisuian Goodra, and Ting-Lu that could otherwise threaten Flutter Mane. Brambleghast can also provide Rapid Spin support to give Flutter Mane safe entry and can threaten bulky Water- and Ground-types like Swampert, Gastrodon, and Clodsire. Froslass, meanwhile, can prevent the placement of entry hazards and Defog with Taunt. Gholdengo assists Flutter Mane by taking Steel-type attacks from the likes of Scizor, Corviknight, and Hisuian Goodra, status from the likes of Blissey, and Defog from the likes of Corviknight; in return, Gholdengo appreciates Power Gem support to remove Fire-types like Volcarona and Ogerpon-H that threaten it. Pecharunt, thanks to its high physical bulk, can withstand hits from the likes of Iron Hands, Zamazenta, and Scizor and threaten back with Malignant Chain to spread status to weaken walls or Foul Play to clear physical attackers away. Pecharunt can also safely bring in Flutter Mane thanks to Parting Shot. Sinistcha can help to take on the several Water- and Ground-types of the tier, including Barraskewda, Swampert, and Clodsire, along with being able to use Matcha Gotcha to burn physical attackers that can threaten Flutter Mane such as Alolan Muk and Iron Treads. Ceruledge benefits Flutter Mane by being able to use Bitter Blade to remove problematic Steel-types like Scizor and Magnezone along with being able to use Poltergeist to hit hard into special walls like Clodsire and Heatran. Ceruledge can also check opposing Flutter Mane and Dragapult thanks to Shadow Sneak. Dragapult enjoys Flutter Mane being able to break physical walls, including Archaludon, Great Tusk, and Overqwil. In return, Dragapult can wear down special walls like Alolan Muk and Iron Hands with its powerful STAB moves so Flutter Mane can effortlessly remove them. If wielding a Choice Scarf, Dragapult can also check opposing Choice Scarf threats like Meowscarada, Roaring Moon, and Hoopa-U, which all pose a significant threat to Flutter Mane.
