[OVERVIEW]

Sadly, there is no reason to use the unviable Luvdisc over other Water-types such as Ludicolo, Kabutops, and Omastar. While it has a nice ability in Swift Swim backed with a nice Speed stat, it lacks the firepower to make use of it, often making it dead weight. It also sports a pitiful bulk, leaving it vulnerable to common priority moves, such as Mach Punch and Sucker Punch.

[SET]
name: Rain Sweeper
move 1: Hydro Pump
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Hidden Power Grass
move 4: Rain Dance
item: Life Orb / Waterium Z
ability: Swift Swim
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

With this set, Luvdisc tries to fulfill the role of a rain sweeper. However, this is better accomplished by Ludicolo, since it sports a better offensive typing and hits significantly harder than Luvdisc while also being able to set up rain for itself more easily due to its higher bulk. It is also outclassed by other Water-types, especially Omastar, which makes better use of Swift Swim thanks to it being bulkier, stronger, and also faster after a Shell Smash.

[OVERVIEW]
Sadly, there is no reason to use the unviable Luvdisc over other Water-types such as Ludicolo and (theres a random extra space here)Omastar. While it has a nice ability in Swift Swim backed with a nice speed, it lacks the firepower to make use of it, leaving it unable to do much damage(u kinda already said this when u mentioned its lack of firepower). It also suffers from heavy competition from other Rain Sweepers, namely the aforementioned Ludicolo and Kabutops. (u already said this in the first sentence, tho u can add kabu to the examples up there)It also sports a pitiful bulk, leaving it vulnerable to common priority moves, such as Mach Punch and Sucker Punch.

[SET]
name: Rain Sweeper
move 1: Hydro Pump
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Hidden Power Grass
move 4: Surf / Rain Dance(Id prob just put Rain dance so it can be a fast setter and kinda needs the power from hydro pump over surf anyway)
item: Life Orb / Waterium Z / Icium Z
ability: Swift Swim
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
With this set, Luvdisc tries to fulfill the role of a Rain Sweeper, which is better accomplished by Ludicolo, since it sports a higher bulk, better offensive typing and it hits significantly harder than Luvdisc while also being able to set up rain for itself.(Luvdisc can technically set up the rain for itself too tho) It is also outclassed by other Water-types, namely Omastar, who makes better use of Swift Swim thanks to it being bulkier, stronger and also faster after a Shell Smash.
