Ok so I’ve been trying to figure out wtf happened with that vote—since I am the “Poll Worker”, but I can say with 100% certainty that the Louisiana vote was NOT me. Yeti kept me pretty in the dark regarding the town/cartel roles so I legitimately have no idea what happened. Night 6

You awake to a slaughter.

First, formerly jailed D.C. was executed in prison tonight. See the prior flip for their Role PM. This was Ariariadne, to re-iterate.

Next, Connecticut aka Ditto was shot in the head.

Dear Ditto, you are The FBI Agent.

Alias: Connecticut.

The government got wind of a new Cartel setting up shop in the Big City, so they sent you in to deal with it: a fancy-pants FBI Agent. You don’t care much for the Big City itself, but if you take down the Cartel they’ll give you a promotion and a fat raise back home.

Every night, you may submit “NX - Check <Alias>”. You will determine whether or not <Alias> is a member of the Cartel.

Once every three nights, you may submit “NX - Jail <Alias>”. <Alias> must be a confirmed member of the Cartel via your Check ability. <Alias> will be put in jail, their role PM will be revealed publicly, and will be treated as dead for all game-related purposes, including win conditions, until such time as both you and The Jailer are dead. If for some reason you would like to release any jailed Cartel members, you may do so without dying by having whichever of you and the Jailer are both alive indicating as such to the host. There must be agreement between yourself and the Jailer on any prisoner releases, in the event you are both alive. This ability is treated as a kill targeted by you, for mechanical purposes. Both you and the Jailer may talk with players in prison as if they were alive, but they will otherwise be subject to standard deadtalk rules.

Additionally, you are aware of the local Police Commissioner’s existence. Each night, you may submit a private note to the commissioner to be included alongside the rest of their normal results. You may also opt to share your own results for that night with them. The note and / or results will be signed by the FBI automatically, so they are aware of the source.

Finally, the aura of a Fed makes the Cartel scared of messing with you. You are immune to non-Kill actions used by the Cartel. Additionally, you will survive the first kill targeted at you at night regardless of source.

You are allied with yourself. You win if the Cartel is eliminated while you are still alive.

With the death of Ditto, the remaining prisoners have been freed. California (Jalmont) and Missouri (SirFish) are back in the game.

Next, Guam was dismembered slowly and painfully. This was pulsar512b. See any of the prior Psychopath flips for the PM.

Then, you find the body of Montana, also known as Blue_Tornado. He was shot three times in rapid succession by a professional killer. It seems he had been right in the middle of getting an interesting development...

While you’re just a humble lab tech, you’re also the smartest member of the police department. You’ll use your brains to aid the Big City in this fight.

Every night, you may submit “NX - Sample <Alias1> and <Alias2>”. This will have differing effects based on whether <Alias1> and / or <Alias2> are dead. Each dead alias you sample, you will collect a sample of the killer’s DNA. Each living player’s alias that you sample, you will collect a sample of that player’s DNA. Note that you cannot sample players who died via the daily vote, for obvious reasons.

Each night, you may submit “NX - Test <Alias1> and <Alias2> for match”. <Alias1> must be a previously dead alias that you sampled, while <Alias2> must be a presently living alias that you have sampled. If <Alias2> killed <Alias1>, then this will return a positive match.

If you find a positive match, then this will be considered probable cause and you will get in touch with the authorities to automatically issue a warrant for <Alias2>’s arrest. There may be a different player who can make use of this.

You will automatically write a report to send back to the Police Commissioner with any results you get.

With The Jailer and The FBI Agent dead, there is no longer anyone who can execute on your warrants, and the local jail has been vacated.

Instead, you will take matters into your own hands. You may submit “NX - Vigilante Justice on <Alias>”. You will shoot <Alias> in the heart. <Alias> must be someone that you have a positive match on.

Next up you see that Utah was shot in the heart. This was shade.

If you block a kill with your Protect ability, then you will gain the additional ability to submit “NX - Ensure <Alias>”. This will raise <Alias>’s priority infinitely for their primary ability only, guaranteeing its’ success. You may target yourself with Ensure.

When you use this ability, the fact that you have done so will be revealed to your target, as will your entire Role PM. Their entire Role PM and username will also be revealed to you. If you ever die for them, you will still be able to talk to them post-death.

Once you are bonded to someone, neither of you will be able to change allegiance for any reason. Until then, however, you could.

With the loss of over half of the starting members of the Big City, the survivors amongst you have resolved to make a final stand! During the next half-cycle, if you are a member of the Big City, you may privately submit a vote for two out of three options - whichever receives the most support will be the power you gain for the remainder of the game, and whichever receives the second most will be unlocked when 75% of starting members of the Big City have either died or changed allegiance. These will be active starting the next half-cycle:

• Resolve of the Commissioner: Every member of the Big City will gain the ability to use the following one out of every two nights:
  • You may submit “NX - Rogue <Faction>”. <Faction> may be The Cartel or Neutrals. If that faction attempts to kill you, you will avoid the kill and see the alias of whoever tried to kill you. Note that this functions as a limited bodyguard for mechanical purposes, and can thus be disrupted, redirected, or otherwise blocked.
  • You may not use this action while performing any killing ability.
  • Finally, any information roles you use will be infallible.
• Resolve of the Mayor: Every member of the Big City will have their vote count permanently doubled.
  • Additionally, in the event a villager would be persuaded, their vote will simply count for 0 in the daily vote instead.
• Resolve of the Jailer: Every member of the Big City will gain the ability to use the following one out of every two nights:
  • You may submit “NX - Street Justice <Alias>”. If more than 50% of the living Big City members successfully target <Alias>, then <Alias> will die. This cannot be blocked by active protective abilities. This can only be used if you are not performing any other killing actions at night.
