Welcome to Pokéathlon 2023! We are so glad you've decided to join us for this game!
Overview
This game will take place over the span of 5 weeks. Each Monday at 7 EST, we will post 6 events for each team to complete during the week. You can complete them at any time during the week, with the deadline being Sunday at 7 EST each week. Some events will be for the full team to participate in, some will be for only one person, and others will be for a couple team members. Instructions for how to complete each event will be included when each event is released. Some events will be live while others will be non-live. Results for each cycle will be revealed on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Teams
- The minimum number of players on a team is 5, while the maximum is 8. You do not need to have a full team when you sign up, but if you have less than 5, you will be considered "free agents" and we may match you up with another group. You can also use find-a-team to find a team to join/find members to pick up on your own.
- Once you have your members, head over to team-signup.
Events
- Each cycle will have 6 events. The events will be varied - they can range from flash games to number puzzles to Pokemon knowledge to scavenger hunts. Generally, 1 will be a full team event that everyone can participate in, 3 will be individual that only one team member does, and the other 2 will be a small group event ranging from 2-4 players per team. Most challenges will involve starting a stopwatch and putting in a command in your team submissions channel. DO NOT FORGET TO START AND STOP THE STOPWATCH WHEN THIS IS SPECIFIED. The command for the stopwatch is /stopwatch. This will be in all the instructions and the specific command for the event will be in the instructions as well.
- Most events will be non-live, but some will be live. We will have polls to schedule these when necessary.
- For events that do not involve all team members, you may not help the person competing in the event. You can talk about event with your team members after completing them, but you cannot talk with other teams about events until the cycle ends.
You will get points based on how your team does in each event. The scoring for each event will be as follows: 1st place - 10 points 2nd place - 7 points 3rd place - 5 points Top 25% - 2 points Top 50% - 1 points THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON HOW MANY TEAMS SIGN UP. Also, you don't get points from multiple categories (like, 2nd place doesn't get 2 extra points from also being in the top 25%). Scores will be posted after each cycle. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placers will get roles indicating the medal they've earned! At the end, the team with the most points will win Pokéathlon 2023!
