Scream Tail @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Boomburst
- Psychic Noise
- Wish
- Stealth Rock

Thanks to discussion among AAA players and metagame development, offensive Scream Tail sets have become solid progress makers. Its excellent Speed tier and the power of Boomburst allow it to force out a myriad of attackers like the Ogerpon formes, Walking Wake, and Latios, while its typing helps check Fighting-types like Zamazenta and Terrakion. It is also able to pressure Iron Moth and Empoleon with Psychic Noise; while it will never beat Empoleon one-on-one, it can force damage onto it for a teammate. Stealth Rock pairs exceptionally well with Psychic Noise, as Psychic Noise forces Corviknight to take unrecoverable chip damage to remove Stealth Rock, opening the door for teammates to blow through it. This set synergizes best with other entry hazards to make sure the Boomburst and Psychic Noise damage sticks, so it should be run alongside Spikes users like Garchomp, Ting-Lu, and Deoxys-D. Scream Tail also works well with special wallbreakers like Walking Wake, which dislikes the presence of full health Empoleon, and physical pivots like Roaring Moon, which can pivot Scream Tail in on its switch-ins like Great Tusk and Mandibuzz.

Thanks to discussion among AAA players and metagame development, offensive Scream Tail sets have become solid progress makers. this line isnt wrong but keep in mind that a snappy hook is best for socmed Despite its low SpA stat, Pixilate Boomburst's high base power makes Scream Tail difficult to switch into due to, [ac] outdamaging common Regenerator on common users like Swampert and Manaphy, as well as taking advantage of the few specially defensive common Fairy resists there are in the tier, like Iron Moth and Empoleon, [RC] with Psychic Noise, 2HKOing the former and preventing the latter from recovering. Wish and Stealth Rock are general utility options that Scream Tail can use, although Flamethrower can be used to hit Fluffy and Intimidate Corviknights. this isnt an analysis, its a set spotlight, i feel like mentioning flame wastes space that could better be used to mention important offensive matchups like tusk or hands or the merits of the speed tier that outpaces ogerpon forms, walking wake, etc. This set synergizes best with other hazards to make sure the Boomburst and Psychic Noise damage sticks, so it should be run alongside entry hazards Spikes users like Ting-Lu Garchomp, Sandy Shocks, and Deoxys-D, all of which have the benefit of beating at least one of the two premier entry hazards removers, Corviknight and Great Tusk doesn't feel like a necessary addition, the spotlight is on scream tail. Scream Tail also works well with breakers like Walking Wake, which dislikes the presence of Empoleon this feels like a weird antisynergy to mention; scream can annoy empoleon, yeah, but i'd call it a shaky answer at best, and Roaring Moon, which can pivot Scream Tail in on its switch-ins like Great Tusk and Mandibuzz maybe mention that it can knock off assault vests from swampert, melo, etc. while scream threatens tusk and hands, allowing one to set the other to clean up.

Thanks to discussion among AAA players and metagame development, offensive Scream Tail sets have become solid progress makers. this line isnt wrong but keep in mind that a snappy hook is best for socmed; make it something along the lines of "Scream Tail does it all; it can check common dangerous attackers like Latios, reliably set up Stealth Rock and pressure Corviknight, and puts out decent offensive pressure." Despite its low SpA stat, Pixilate Boomburst's high base power makes Scream Tail difficult to switch into due to outdamaging common Regenerator users like Swampert and Manaphy, as well as taking advantage of the few specially defensive Fairy resists there are in the tier, like Iron Moth and Empoleon, [RC] with Psychic Noise, 2HKOing the former and preventing the latter from recovering.
