Thanks to discussion among AAA players and metagame development, offensive Scream Tail sets have become solid progress makers. Its excellent Speed tier and the power of Boomburst allow it to force out a myriad of attackers like the Ogerpon formes, Walking Wake, and Latios, while its typing helps check Fighting-types like Zamazenta and Terrakion. It is also able to pressure Iron Moth and Empoleon with Psychic Noise; while it will never beat Empoleon one-on-one, it can force damage onto it for a teammate. Stealth Rock pairs exceptionally well with Psychic Noise, as Psychic Noise forces Corviknight to take unrecoverable chip damage to remove Stealth Rock, opening the door for teammates to blow through it. This set synergizes best with other entry hazards to make sure the Boomburst and Psychic Noise damage sticks, so it should be run alongside Spikes users like Garchomp, Ting-Lu, and Deoxys-D. Scream Tail also works well with special wallbreakers like Walking Wake, which dislikes the presence of full health Empoleon, and physical pivots like Roaring Moon, which can pivot Scream Tail in on its switch-ins like Great Tusk and Mandibuzz.
