This is attributed by Shell Smash, good bulk to ease setup, and an incredible ability in Skill Link, which allows its Icicle Spear to always hit five times; it is excellent coverage against Pokemon like Hisuian Voltorb, Foongus, and Vullaby. Protect allows Shellder to not worry about priority moves like Mienfoo's Fake Out and Trapinch's First Impression that would attempt to stop its sweep. Tera Water boosts the power of Liquidation, which allows Shellder to achieve damage rolls such as OHKOing Pawniard and Mienfoo. As Shellder struggles to break through Mareanie, Pokemon like Gothita, Alolan Diglett, Hisuian Voltorb, and Elekid that can threaten it are great partners to have. Memento support from Pokemon like Alolan Diglett and Stunky can provide Shellder safer setup opportunities. As Shellder struggles to break through Mareanie as it resists all of its attacks, Pokemon like Alolan Diglett, Hisuian Voltorb, and Elekid who can handle it are great partners to have (i think gothita is a good mention here since it traps mareanie. also wording could prob be more concise like threaten or something since you cant really switch alolan diglett or hisutorb in reliably). Memento support from Pokemon like Alolan Diglett and Stunky can provide Shellder safer setup oppertunities. Shellder struggles against Pokemon like Snubbull and Pawniard who it can't OHKO, so Pokemon like Gastly, Skunky, and Mienfoo who counter these threats are nice to have. (last sentence feels like fluff and not entirely accurate since you can tera for pawniard, but a pokemon like vullaby could make sense since it can force chip on pokemon that would live a hit like snub and pawn)
