Silvally-Psychic can attempt to utilize Swords Dance, its decent Attack stat, and its acceptable movepool to perform as a setup sweeper. However, even after a Swords Dance boost, Silvally-Psychic is incredibly underwhelming due its item slot and ability being used up to turn Silvally-Psychic into a Psychic-type. Furthermore, Silvally-Psychic's role as a physical Psychic-type, while unique, doesn't carve itself a strong-enough niche worth using.

However, other setup Psychic-types such as Calm Mind Mesprit and Nasty Plot Alolan Raichu are more capable in this role, despite not being physical attackers. Other Swords Dance users such as Scyther and Lycanroc also outclass Swords Dance Silvally-Psychic.

However, even after a Swords Dance boost, Silvally-Psychic is incredibly underwhelming due its item slot already being taken up by the Psychic Memory. (and ability)Furthermore, Silvally-Psychic's role as a physical Psychic-type, while unique, doesn't carve itself a strong enough niche worth using.

(this sentence is kinda just a detail, remove this and instead talk about simply how it can serve as a pivot and a late game sweeper)However, other setup Psychic-types such as Calm Mind Mesprit and Nasty Plot Alolan Raichu are more capable in this role, despite not being physical attackers.
