[OVERVIEW]

Simisage is an overall underwhelming Pokemon due to its barely above average offensive and terrible defensive stats. This leaves it outclassed by many other mixed Grass-types such as Shiftry and Abomasnow due to their secondary offensive typings alongside other niches such as both's STAB priority, Shiftry's hazard removal, and Abomasnow's solid coverage. Simisage's horrible defensive stats also leave Simisage extremely susceptible to faster foes such as Scyther, offensive Froslass, and Choice Scarf Swanna.

[SET]
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Leaf Storm
move 2: Superpower
move 3: Gunk Shot
move 4: Rock Slide
item: Life Orb / Rockium Z
ability: Overgrow
nature: Naive
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This mixed set is run to utilize one of Simisage's few selling points in its coverage. Because of this coverage as well as Simisage's decent Speed tier, it isn't completely outclassed. That being said, mixed sets are much better accomplished by Grass-types like Shiftry and Abomasnow with their secondary typings and STAB priority, and Simisage is therefore unviable.

[OVERVIEW]
Simisage is an overall underwhelming Pokemon due to its mediocre offensive stats (it's more that it's just meh to use, having zero defensive utility and being only just above average with its offensive stats. they're not mediocre tho). This leaves it outclassed by many other mixed Grass-types such as Shiftry and Abomasnow due to their secondary offensive typings alongside other niches such as both's priority and Shiftry's hazard removal. Even if going fully physical, Leafeon and again Shiftry surpass it due to their access to Swords Dance. It typing doesn't go well with its horrible defensive stats either, as they leave Simisage extremely susceptible to faster foes such as Scyther, offensive Froslass, and Choice Scarf Swanna.

[SET]
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Leaf Storm / Seed Bomb (no to seed bomb)
move 2: Superpower
move 3: Gunk Shot
move 4: Rock Slide
item: Life Orb
ability: Overgrow
nature: Naive / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

This set can be run as mixed or physical and utilizes one of Simisage's few selling points in its coverage. Because of its coverage as well as Simisage's decent speed tier it isn't completely outclassed. That being said, both mixed and physical sets are much better accomplished by Pokemon like Shiftry, Abomasnow, and Leafeon, and is therefore unviable.

This set is run mixed to utilize one of Simisage's few selling points in its coverage. Because of this coverage as well as Simisage's decent speed tier it isn't completely outclassed (reiterate aboma and shiftry having stab prio).
