Magearna is a mechanical marvel in Ubers UU! Calm Mind alongside Shift Gear allows it to boost both Speed and power, and with its nigh perfect typing and amazing bulk, it becomes a deadly sweeper. Draining Kiss allows Magearna to hit Dark-types like Arceus-Dark and Chien-Pao while giving it a form of semi-reliable recovery. Stored Power accumulates strength as Magearna grabs boosts, meaning it becomes super-boosted and able to power through Psychic-resistant checks like opposing Magearna, Dialga, and Mewtwo. Tera Water allows Magearna to easily flip the matchup on physical attackers that scare it out, like Palafin and Landorus-T, and set up on them while also helping its matchups against other threats such as Landorus and Palkia-O. Magearna appreciates the support of Pokemon like Zamazenta-C and Zacian, which can eliminate the Dark- and Steel-types that prevent Magearna's sweep, and in turn, Magearna can wallbreak for these Pokemon, making a powerful partnership. Magearna is also afraid of status and chip damage, so status absorbers like Rest Giratina and Gholdengo can also assist as teammates, and Giratina can even blow entry hazards away with Defog, creating a powerful synergy.
