It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Specifically, it was the times when my ex-good friend SBK and I used to "ladder" semi seriously on the Infinity League server from Pokemon Online in the children's video game pokemon, back when we were noobs and had no idea about the elite tournaments culture here on Smogon. (This was in 2014 when I was 12 years old and very immature, by the way, so some of this may seem "cringe" to us now.) Anyway, we were just tiny noobs playing in random tiers, you know, whatever. We would always be having a good time and sharing our minmaxed teams on there like real bosses, ride together till we die together type shit. Well, it was aweosme... Till ONE day when SBK managed to beat a high profile Infinity League player in a BO3. Now, sure, say what you want to say, the outcome of that series may have been controversial due to some hax on his side back then, but SBK beat him fair and square, or at least thats my stance on it. Gotta roll with the punches sometimes. Anyway, After this, SBK ended up being drafted in the biggest tournament we knew at the time, the Infinity League Premier Tournament, for a meager price but still for a price... and boy oh boy did his attitude turn south from there, no more was he that awesomeoly humble guy playing for fun but instead an elitist fucking prick who would call people who weren't in the tournament irrelevant losers who weren't nearly as famous as him in Pokemon. And hell, he was right, but it was still a dick move. Flash forward to 2016: Me and him have our fated clash during an actual big tournament, Smogon All Stars 11. I remember it vividly because I was playing Duel of the Fates 10 hours version on Youtube while playing these games vs him. And I fricking won, lol. And booooy was he salty. And still is, so be sure to watch our game on Sunday 6 pm EST. We'll settle the score in this heavily luck based kids game once and for all, and I hope you will all be there to see it. No hard feelings though.
