well on the ladder the two users would be ranked as say, 94 and 95, but due to the alphabetization it is equivalent to 94 and - where the next user is 96. So yes if they have the same points a tie is fair.
In the case of identical ranking points the current tiebreaker system does not work fairly, as on PO, the difference is simply settled by alphabetical order. So if you had 16 people with the same ranking, the one starting with an "a" would be considered first.
It would be much simpler/more fair to simply tie for that position.
i thought of an idea involving a trick room team and TR+lunar dance cress with a sweeper like CB druddigon, its been working, but trick room, while my favorite playstyle isnt as effective in OU sadly. i dont know what my next try will be if this doesnt work.

Somewhat for organizational purposes, it looks messy at present with the multiple Pokemon, but primarily because the main thrust of the challenge as its been received is to do it with one Pokemon, and each group, 1, 2 or 3 pokemon shouldn't be burdened with the others. If anything, separate the three to provide more recognition to those who succeed with more dark horses on their team.
I would still suggest separating users with multiple dark horses from users with just one.
It would probably be a good idea to separate the list so that users with a) multiple pokemon, and b) pokemon taken more than once are clarified for the ease of potential new participants.

also I must have misread or something, I had NO idea Scrafty was eligible, so I changed to that, thought I'd let you know so you don't have to comb through tons of posts to update.
Nice to see interest in the DH project! Quick suggestion, maybe you could add in every participants' Pokemon next to their name? That way users who might want ideas for a certain Pokemon can just look through the index, and people wouldn't have to read through posts to find a new, interesting Pokemon to try. -
