This thread will lay out the structure and schedule for the official 2024 LC Circuit, a series of official tournaments to earn points where at the end of the year the top 12 players will compete in a best of three, single elimination championships to earn a ribbon (
The format for the 2024 circuit will be partially changed from the 2023 circuit. We will still be using the point system explained in this thread with Type A, B and C Tournaments having point ratios of 3:2:1 - in other words, the maximum number of points earnable for Type A, B, and C Tournaments will be 500, 333, and 166 points respectively. Playoffs will still be among the top 12 players from the 2024 circuit tours with the top 4 seeds receiving a bye for the first round. In addition, we will be keeping the same replay requirements as last year. For all circuit tournaments, replays will be required starting in Round 2 of the winners bracket and Round 3 of losers bracket (in tournaments with a losers bracket). This is both to encourage higher quality games throughout the 2024 circuit as well as aid metagame development. Reminders of this will be posted in tournament threads.
The primary difference from the 2023 circuit is the implementation of the Little Cup Classic. The LC Classic will remain a type C tour, but circuit points will only be awarded for playoff performance, with all participants being awarded points. This differs from last year, where playoffs did not award points and instead the top 2 finishes for the individual cups provided points instead. One of the driving factors behind this change is the addition of the ADV Cup to the LC Circuit 2024, making the LC Classic a tournament showcasing all LC generations from 3-8. Accordingly, the LC Classic will use a best finish limit of 3 for playoff qualification and provide an advantage to the higher seed when selecting the 5 generations played in playoffs.

Winter Seasonal: January 21st - early April
LC Open: April - early June
Fall Seasonal: September 16th - late November
Type B
Last Chance: October 14th - early December
LC Majors: May 20th - late June
Type C
LC Ladder Tour: August 26th - early October
LC Classic: March 25th - late June

Single elimination tours will use this for scoring and double elimination tours will use this. Note that the listed point values are for Type A Tournaments, Type B and C Tournaments will use ratios of 3:2 and 3:1 for equivalent placements.
