I was fooling around on Shoddy while reading some other war stories here, and fought a match against Real_Icey. That match isn't the one I took the time to post, partly because it took forever, and that it was rather boring. Anyway, he wanted a rematch 'cause his team had a few problems. We became, I suppose, "friends" of sorts during that first battle, so there is a decent amount of chat, which I can remove if it proves too distracting (the same goes with Leftovers recovery; I'm feeling lazy). I was using one of my stranger teams, which I made out of Pokemon I though should be used more, or, at least, a way the Pokemon should be used more. I had to leave out Ursaring and Shuckle, though. Beware that this is an incredibly long story/battle (you can choose depending how good/bad you think it is), with lots of stalling going on. As far as good battles go, this one didn't have epic prediction or anything the top-tier players do, as neither me nor my opponent are exactly...excellent. I think I made two predictions, while he made none.

I wanted to lower its Defense, and since nearly every single Smeargle knows Spore, I had to absorb the sleep with someone. It ruined the idea of using Belly Drum to activate my Salac because of Gluttony. I'm not really one to use damage calcs, so I'm not sure if ExtremeSpeed would've KOed. It would've been 120 power as opposed to 80 power, so I don't think so.

Conclusion:
It wasn't that awesome game between some of the best, or even a great Ladder Match. There were simply massive momentum shifts, and a 3-0 sweep at the end by a special wall. Yes, I know that if you read the battle log/war story (you decide) you know that already, but those are the points I would like to emphasize. Well, and that the special wall wasn't a fat pink whore...
But anyway, I don't know how others will feel about it, but I thought the battle was at least OK (as well as insanely annoying). It did seem to take much too long, but I suppose I've had longer battles. I'd appreciate help with how to make it better as well as whether you would call it a war "story" or simply a battle in text.

I went with Rock Smash as opposed to ExtremeSpeed, expecting the Baton Passing variety of Smeargle. I wanted to lower its Defense, and since nearly every single Smeargle knows Spore, I had to absorb the sleep with someone. It ruined the idea of using Belly Drum to activate my Salac because of Gluttony. I'm not really one to use damage calcs, so I'm not sure if ExtremeSpeed would've KOed. It would've been 120 power as opposed to 80 power, so I don't think so.

I had built the Regice as a Special Wall/"It's SE"/Recipient of Umbreon's Curses because I noticed a completely untouched Sassy Regice in my Pearl one day. At least it can't go 6-3 now. Oh, and there was something I learned looking back at this point. My team has three Fighting weaks and two Dark weaks, as I'm sure the average (and better-than-me) battler would've already discovered.
