this is a picture posted by the chinese government, with the caption "County mayor Li Ningyi and vice-mayor Tang Xiaobing are inspecting the newly constructed country road at Lihong Town."
because i guess chinese people have mastered levitation. when they realized what they had done, they quickly posted an apology along with the "real" pictures:
but by then it was too late, for the awkward floating guys had already become a cultural phenomenon.
