Checks and Counters
===================
**Mega Diancie**: Mega Diancie may take a lot of damage from Boomburst and Earth Power, but if it does switch in, it can outspeed, and proceed to OHKO with Pixilate-boosted Boomburst.
**Strong Attackers**: Due to Kyurem-W's average bulk, strong attacks from extremely powerful Pokemon in the BH format, such as Mega Mewtwo X or Y, Mega Rayquaza, and Dialga after boosting with Tail Glow, can switch in and deal a lot of damage with their STAB moves.
**Entry Hazards**: Stealth Rock wears down Kyurem-W every time it switches in, making it easier to counter for the rest of the team.
- Main niche is a Refrigerate user, though faces tough competition from other, potentially better -ate users such as Kyurem-B, Mega Diancie, and Mega Rayquaza.
- Niche over other -ate users is a higher Special Attack and the ability to get away with running Choice Specs.
- Faces major competition as a special attacker from stronger ones such as Mega Mewtwo Y.
- Horrible typing leaves it weak to Stealth Rock, as well as Pixilate users.
- Outsped by a chunk of the metagame due to average base 95 speed.

Moves
========
- Boomburst is the STAB move of choice, due to its massive power after the boosts from Refrigerate and Boomburst.
- Techno Blast is usable over Boomburst. It is slightly weaker, and damages Substitutes, but it bypasses Soundproof.
- Earth Power gives the best coverage with Boomburst.
- Volt Switch is used to maintain momentum and pivot out of checks and counters.
- Trick is used to cripple walls, switch moves, and potentially pick up a useful item.
Set Details
========
- The given EVs maximize Kyurem-W's sweeping potential while outrunning the fairly crowded base 90 speed tier.
- Choice Specs gives a huge power boost. The lock-in effect is irrelevant due to spamming Boomburst most of the time.
- Modest is used for more power, while Timid is usable to outspeed the numerous base 90 speed Pokemon.
Usage Tips
========
- Used mainly as a wallbreaker due to its sheer power, able to get around Giratina, along with Mega Latias, Aegislash, Registeel, and others.
- Boomburst is Kyurem-W's general go-to move due to hitting ridiculously hard.
- Use Earth Power to damage Steel-types and Pokemon with Soundproof that want to switch in on Boomburst.
Team Options
========
- Deoxys-S can set up entry hazards, allowing Kyurem-W to secure some KOs it normally wouldn't, such as on Giratina, Lugia, and other bulky Pokemon
- Entry hazard removers like Dialga can remove entry hazards, allowing Kyurem-W to get in safely.
- Late-game sweepers appreciate having walls weakened so that they can switch in and clean up. Some examples include Scarf Kyurem-W, Mega Mewtwo X or Y, and Mega Diancie.

- The given EVs maximize Kyurem-W's sweeping potential while outrunning the fairly crowded base 90 speed tier.
- Choice Scarf makes up for its average speed.
- Timid is preferred to be as fast as possible, but Modest can be used to hit as hard as possible.
Usage Tips
========
- Best used as a revenge killer due to ts boosted speed
- Boomburst is Kyurem-W's general go-to move due to hitting ridiculously hard.
- Use Earth Power to damage Steel-types and Pokemon with Soundproof that want to switch in on Boomburst.

- Entry hazard removers like Dialga and Giratina can remove entry hazards, allowing Kyurem-W to get in safely.
- Wallbreakers such as Mega Rayquaza, Choice Specs Kyurem-W, and both Mega Mewtwo forms can break through walls and allow for it to have an easier time cleaning up the opponents team.

Other Options
=============
- A Contrary set can be used with Draco Meteor and Overheat, but not advised due to the immense support required, along with Contrary in general being a bad option.
- Poison Heal with Quiver Dance is also an option, but not usable due to bad typing and Stealth Rock weakness.
