Palafin-Hero's sprite disappears after terastalizing, shown in turn 10 of this replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubers-1850666078-o4cormxx6tj6m0x78pwg4ph1y9jixanpw
I've done a bit of testing, seems like 1) the tera type does not matter and 2) anything that causes Palafin-Hero's sprite to move (here it reappeared after getting hit with Wild Charge on turn 11, but it also reappears if Palafin-Hero itself uses a move with an animation that moves its sprite e.g. Body Slam) will cause it to reappear

Edit: 3) It doesn't matter if it's you or the opponent that has Palafin-Hero either, it disappears on both sides

Idk if it's intentional or not, but it looks to me that there are some color and size inconsistencies between the different Meditite back sprites other than the ears (male/female and shiny/non shiny). Male and female non-shiny sprites have a noticeable color difference, and shiny male and female sprites have different sizes than the regular sprites, with the male being slightly smaller I think and the female being very stretched.

Reporting a Bug: Protean Greninja should not change type when a move got bounced back via Magic Bounce

I watched Emvee a few days ago and noticed something strange. Greninja did not transform into a poison type even though it used toxic spikes and was a protean version. Next turn it used Gunk Shot and Protean triggered.
Here is a replay showing this is not implemented in PS at this very moment: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-1851429879-kqn5j77esb0i4b0bx2tauoxmpq61k2qpw
Here is a video with timestamp that shows the "real" version:

I assume since Protean/Libero are now a resource, you only change your type if your move actually succeeds. I dont know about this though.

Edit: Just saw someone else report the same thing. Was kind of proud to be the first one to discover this, but whatever

Bug Report: Lost Due to Inactivity While Still Watching Previous Turn Play Out

Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/...-1851567721-5hf5vbdbj0npug1vld4e6ru9zzqq96bpw
Relevant Turns are 13 and 14.

While I was watching Turn 13's animations finish playing out, I was notified that I had lost due to inactivity. If you look at the chat log (attached) for Turn 14, you can see that there's not the usual sequence of timer warnings (bigzam26 has 20 seconds left, bigzam26 has 15 seconds left, etc.). In reality, I didn't even see the 5 second warning on my end before it was too late- it told me I lost pretty much as I was watching Gastrodon using its Leftovers at the end of Turn 13.

Not sure what happened here or if I'm missing something. Using the Desktop application, if that helps. Thank you!

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG
:furret: Unfortunately, the server starts the timer as soon as the turn is processed, which happens instantaneously. We don't wait for clients to play out the animations, this would be extremely exploitable. The best we could do is speed up the animations on a low timer, like Blitz formats do.

Bug Reports: Annihilape Rage Fist damage is not going up when hit by Dragon Darts

There seems to be a bug where dragon darts will not increase the damage rage fist does.

Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/...-1852124519-0qut6e2v0vipyo2776rq183kjgklc38pw

relevant turn: darts hits ape on turns 3 and 4. rage fist is used on a relevant target on turn 6

Additional replays where bug is reproduced:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/...-1852141670-j9elz5ftdht6uc9dxt5u7q24spppsucpw
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/...-1852151169-6kigj6bjc968te63mk70ec5afmo74edpw
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/...-1852154295-qa40fk96x27bid8nqtsrz0wm5daaj46pw

Calculations to confirm that bug occurred:
36+ Atk Sword of Ruin Annihilape Rage Fist (150 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tera-Water Gholdengo: 109-129 (56.1 - 66.4%)

I'm not sure why, but my Gardevoir's trace ability did not activate when it should have. My opponent leads with Koraidon and I lead with Gardevoir, but trace did not activate. My opponent did not have a zoroark on his team and his Koraidon was holding a choice scarf (my Gardevoir has a choice scarf and would normally outspeed, since Koraidon attacked first it would need to have a choice scarf) so no item should have affected the trace. I normally use trace to see if I would attack first in these types of scenarios, but it did not activate properly and instead activate once his Koraidon swapped out with U-turn.

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG Trace can't copy Orichalcum Pulse, so copied the next traceable ability that appeared.

My best guess is that the game considers Toxic Spikes to have failed as a move.

"Protean will not activate if the move fails (unless it fails due to the activation of Protean), if the execution is interrupted entirely (such as by the effect of infatuation or confusion), if the move is prevented by heavy rain or extremely harsh sunlight, if the user is already the same single type as the move being used, or if the move is prevented by Powder. Protean will activate even if the move misses, is blocked by a protection move, or fails to affect the opponent. Protean will still change the user's type when using Roar, Whirlwind, Trick-or-Treat, and Forest's Curse, regardless of whether the move successfully executes or not."
So if say Greninja were to use Stomping Tantrum after Toxic Spikes got bounced back, it would have a doubled BP?

idk if this is the right place to say but for RBY Tradebacks OU, there is a legality issue.

Exeggutor should be able to learn Sleep Powder and Stomp on the same set. Theoretically it should be illegal cause Exeggcute learns Sleep Powder at lvl 48 while Exeggutor learns Stomp at lvl 28. However, Stadium 2 has a move relearner, so you could level Exeggcute up to lvl 48 to learn Sleep Powder, evolve it, trade it to Stadium 2, use the the move relearner to relearn Stomp, then trade it back to RBY.

This issue only exists for Tradebacks OU, without trading to gen 2, you can't access the move relearner and thus, it's illegal w/o tradebacks

Bug Report: Bitter Blade is not flagged as a healing move despite being flagged as a draining move.

Noticed this while playing Nat Dex BH, and asked a close friend of mine to help me replicate it. As shown in the replay, Triage does not work on Bitter Blade, and Heal Block - while preventing the move from restoring HP - does not prevent it from being used in the first place. A screenshot was taken to show that Heal Block does disable Leech Life, but not Bitter Blade.

Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9customgame-1855849346-0p3yokfotbnd8oypklsygcvqq0l6ka3pw

Screenshot added below.

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, This has been reported many times before, but Bitter Blade does not have the heal flag in SV (Karthik)

Torkoal's drought didn't activate after getting intimidated and forced out with eject pack. The same interaction in SV does result in the sun being up.

BUG STATUS:NEEDS MORE INFO, We need a replay. Replay added
Video proof of drought activating in SV (it's in german):
Apologies for the repeat if this has already been confirmed (idk if the replay they edited later has been seen) but I would like to confirm this bug (Eject Pack activating before weather-setting ability on switch-in) is still relevant in Gen 9 and applies to other weather abilities as well, with an example of my own both on Showdown and in-game.

Showdown example: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9vgc2023regulationc-1856422343

In-game example:
For reference, both the Showdown and in-game replays use the same teams, where Abomasnow's Speed is 112 and Arcanine's is 154

At the moment the way Gen3 pressure spikes mechanics are working in showdown:
- Pressure only wastes 1 spike PP
- The opposing players sees it as wasting 2 spikes PPs

I tested ingame and in pokemon Emerald pressure does waste 2 spikes pp, so the way it is implemented in showdown is wrong.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or just an oversight, but Groudon-Primal's intense sun doesn't activate Protosynthesis. Nonetheless, I'd appreciate a correction. Have a good day :)

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, This interaction was tested in game with a Pokémon hacked to have desolate land and protosynthesis does indeed not activate in desolate land, only regular sun (Karthik)

Bug Report: Protean Copycat changes the Pokémon into the wrong type. (Gen 9)

In SV, it causes the Pokémon to change into the type of move it copies (i.e. copying Dragon Darts causes the user to become a Dragon type), while on Showdown it always becomes Normal type (i.e. copying Dragon Darts causes the user to become a Normal type). Did it function differently in earlier games?

Hey I would like to report 3 bugs

1. When you lead a pokemon that sets weather and has an eject pack against an intimidate pokemon, it should put the weather no matter what but the eject pack activates right away when intimidate activates before setting the weather. This is a huge issue right now in vgc since torkoal eject pack + jumpluff is meta and it's completly unusable on showdown.

BUG STATUS: CONFIRMED - MECHANICS (SERVER)

2. Mortal spinner on glimmora is not supposed to poison poison type pokemon like amoonguss and again very conserning for vgc ladder.

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, Glimmora has corrosion which allows it to inflict poison on poison and steel types (Karthik)

3. Stomping tantrum is not coded correctly, it should do double damage after waking up, after being faked out or when it hits a protect the turn before (this one I am not 100% sure). Also relevant for vgc because Ting-lu is meta
