I would like to second Liquid Ooze and Poison Point as great choices for the flavour ability! The Liquid Ooze comes from the literal liquid ooze all around the book, and the poison point of course refers to the point on the quill.
I am not as much of a fan of Power of Alchemy. In this case, its original name is referring to the science of alchemy (kagaku, chemistry) rather than the more fantastic and magical version that would be fitting Venomicon (renkinjutsu, alchemy)
One more ability that I think is worth some discussion is Trace. The flavour is obvious, given that it refers to tracing and is also found on a lot of mystical Pokemon, but does it run the risk of being used over Stamina?
Two more abilities are both related to precognition, Forewarn and Anticipation. Of the two, I think Anticipation has more relevance, as it is a generally type neutral ability which translated to Danger Premonition, while Forewarn is exclusive to psychic types, most of which have sleep flavour as the name translates to Prophetic Dream. A book that tells the future is rather mystical and eerie, fitting the flavour, and I think that fits Anticipation rather well.
