I can't see it not evolving from something, and I DEFINITELY don't see it as a 3rd-stage evo.

like one of the first posters said. Warriors need training. Giving it an oversized "skin" (think Scraggy) and paws without claws would probably fit the design. Maybe make it grounded? (just a thought)
