Chimchar

What a beautiful face, I have found in this place
[OVERVIEW]
Chimchar is most commonly used as a suicide lead with Fake Out and Stealth Rocks while holding Focus Sash. However, its mediocre stats and its use as a suicide lead leave it as a poor choice for a Stealth Rocks setter. More defensive hazard setters such as Onix and Ferroseed outclass it, and common hazard removers such as Snivy, Vullaby, and Staryu make Chimchar into a bad teammate. Chimchar could also run an Iron Fist set, but that is heavily outclassed by Timburr as an Iron Fist user and Ponyta as an offensive Fire-type.

[SET]
name: Suicide Lead
move 1: Fake Out
move 2: Overheat
move 3: Hidden Power Grass
move 4: Stealth Rocks
item: Focus Sash
ability: Blaze
nature: Hasty
evs: 4 HP / 56 Atk / 216 SpA / 4 SpD / 188 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Chimchar's best set is a suicide lead set that seeks to live thanks to Focus Sash, set up Stealth Rocks, and then hopefully take down something with a powerful Overheat. Suicide leads in general in the current metagame are not a great idea due to there being many common hazard removers on most teams, such as Defog from Snivy and Vullaby or Rapid Spin from Staryu. More defensive hazard setters such as Onix and Ferroseed that can set up hazards more consistently and throughout the game outclass Chimchar.

  • "use as a suicide lead leave it as a poor choice for a Stealth Rocks setter" - I would explain why (its inconsistent, rocks can be removed after it is dead)
  • "more defensive hazard setters outclass it" - again, explain that this is because longevity is valuable in a meta where hazard removal is common
  • Add that it is kind of bait for some common pokemon, and doesnt even beat leads like Onix and Dwebble due to Rock Blast
  • Talk a little about how frail it is explicitly, and how its not strong/fast enough to make up for this
  • Stealth Rocks isn't a move bro (remove the S)
  • Your EV spread isn't optimized, you can run 4 points in Def
  • Set Comments are good, and I think describe the issues with Chimchar overall better than your overview. Maybe make these two sections a little more similar.
