Okay, I'm trying to get a nice library of power metal, stuff like Stratovarius and Sonata Artica. What are some of your favorites? Most of the ones I like are virtually unknown(with the exception of maybe 5 or 6).

Evergrey, are they really power metal? They are ok but I doubt they are double bass heavy enough. They are too midtempo.

Rhapsody (Dawn of Victory is the best album, but I like them all)
Hammerfall (imo, Stronger than All is their best song, but that's maybe because it's in combination with Sonata Arctica)
Dragonforce (Heroes of our time is a great song, but as an album, I like Sonic Firestorm better)

Yeah, I try to ignore them but the high-pitched male vocals drill into my ears and infiltrate all that dungeons and dragons stuff in there.

Get every Manilla Road studio album. Most consistent band of all-time to add on. :)
