Well, those of us who play VGC were already expecting that. And those of you who play Smogon won't feel any difference, since the old mons will be available since the beginning through Bank. The new hyper training is amazing, ab time they made some changes to IVs.
Howeverrrrrr, the whole new symbol eliminating XY/ORAS is pretty depressing. Hundreds and hundreds of hours into perfect shiny breeding just to have to redo everything. And yes, this time around hyper training will make it much easier to obtain perfect bred shinies, but that difficulty (well luck and patience) also added to the sentimental value of the ones i've already bred in gen 6. On the plus side, having a flawless shiny with a pentagon will be somewhat of a treasure now (and an unusable one at that)
not at all complaining ab the new hyper training bc its an amazing addition, just wish you could still use gen 6 mons as well :/
Shouldn't that be "even outside the Alola region"? Like I would suspect everyone from its native region to know its dangerous. It is acknowledged to be a dangerous Pokemon, even within the Alola region.
When Bewear grows fond of its Trainer, it may show that feeling in a fond embrace—but the force of that hug is tremendous!
Okay, so it's not native. But it grows in tropical places so there's probably some growing in Hawaii...Wikipedia said:... is a tropical evergreen tree believed to have originated in the Sunda Islands and the Moluccas of Indonesia. It grows mainly in Southeast Asia, southwest India and other tropical areas such as Puerto Rico and Florida...
... GameFreak, did you do your research or not? Oh, wait, it grows in Asia and is popularly used in traditional medicine. We get it, Pokemon originated in Japan, now can we please focus on the islands this region is being based on perhaps? I swear it feels like if they don't include something Asian they're afraid their home country will reject Pokemon or something.Wikipedia said:Mangosteen production in Puerto Rico is succeeding, but despite decades of attempts, no major production occurs elsewhere in the Caribbean Islands, South America, Florida, California, Hawaii or any continent except Asia.
O_O Geez, I can't remember the last time a Pokedex entry straight up mentioned Pokemon eating other Pokemon. It seemed like nowadays they made all Pokemon into berry eaters.Unfortunately, it's sometimes swallowed whole by Pokemon drawn to its aroma.
And this is why evolution made it so most animals are looking terrified and giving out distressed cries when being chased: so it's kin knows its in danger and can help it. How has your species not all been eaten to extinction? Oh, and good defense, spinning leafs that also make you dizzy. These things must reproduce like crazy. At least I now know what a "calyx" is.When running away from other Pokemon, Bounsweet flees danger by skipping along the ground. Since its bouncy movements don't convey to others that it's actually in desperate flight, no one ever comes to its aid.
Increase individual strength... never possible before... individual... strength... individual... value... increasing individual value... INCREASING IVs!?However, their power is still affected by the individual strengths innate to each Pokemon. Now, with Hyper Training, Pokemon that have grown to Lv. 100 will be able to increase their individual strengths, which has never been possible before.
Small correction: Bewear has 4 weaknesses (excluding fire), not 3 - fairy, psychic, fighting, flying.Bewear:
I originally said that I didn't think this Pokemon would be beary good (ha ha ha), just by virtue of being a Bear. However, maybe I was just being a bit cynical that day. Halving contact damage is great, since 2 of its 3 weaknesses (Fighting and Flying) have moves that almost always make contact. But it also makes you weak to Fire. This will not be good, as most of the game's Fire and Fighting-Types are in the lower tiers, where this thing likely will end up. Then again, this is all dependent on whether or not this is a first stage or a second stage form.
I remember thinking Mega Salamence wouldn't be that great.Small correction: Bewear has 4 weaknesses (excluding fire), not 3 - fairy, psychic, fighting, flying.
With that said, tier placement discussion is really, really premature. We have zero indication about the BSTs of any of the new Pokemon concerned or their movesets, or what new moves, abilities, and items the game is going to introduce, or what (if any) changes will be made to existing ones. We also don't know what other Pokemon, with what other abilities, are going to be released. I think assuming that the lower tiers will have a lot of fire and fighting types is premature, if we can even assume that Bewear will be in them. Prior to XY we also thought Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Lopunny would be in UU or lower, and that Hawlucha would struggle to make UU. We also had a lot of people spruiking Gourgeist for OU. Look how that turned out.
This could be the plot of an Alola series movie: "James Hyper Trains his Pokemon thanks to all his bottle caps and becomes a threat to the planet"Hyper James: So since Bottle Caps raise IVs, does that make James potentially the most powerful trainer in the anime. :P
Agreed. It's amazing how when confronted with a time saver, some people just get angry.I hate it when people complain that GF is making these games too easy when they put some sort of accessibility. Not everyone wants to RNG and soft reset for the right IVs man get over it.
Am I the only one who gets more attached to a Pokémon I breed since I was the first thing it ever saw and we get that special bond? I've been thinking that since before I got into competitive play! It's why I breed my entire team....and you breed this new Pokemon you have little connection with aside you spent who knows how many hours getting it.
Hey if that's how you feel that's fine, I can understand that. Though I myself grow more attached to the team I had an adventure of saving the world and becoming Champion with then one bred just to beat a Battle Facility.Am I the only one who gets more attached to a Pokémon I breed since I was the first thing it ever saw and we get that special bond? It's also shown in the regular trailer.Disregarding Hyper Training for a moment, I think the Japanese trailer shows how Mimikyu's appearance changes after its Ability is activated: rather morbidly, the "neck" snaps and the head falls over to the side.
They clearly aimed for the head, which is kinda freaky when you think about it. But so is our good friend Mimikyu, so what do we expect? It's also shown in the regular trailer.
Although that part brings into question why all attacks only happen to hit the top half of the disguise.
yeah i thought maybe with the "hack check" and what not they might do away with that, but alas ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Well, those of us who play VGC were already expecting that. And those of you who play Smogon won't feel any difference, since the old mons will be available since the beginning through Bank.
But how do you aim moves like Earthquake to the head? They clearly aimed for the head, which is kinda freaky when you think about it. But so is our good friend Mimikyu, so what do we expect?
How does Regice die to Sheer Cold? But how do you aim moves like Earthquake to the head?
... better not think too much about it.
