Something Worth Fighting For
[OVERVIEW]
Grubbin's awful stats and Bug typing mean it faces stiff competition from Larvesta, which has access to U-turn and reliable recovery in Morning Sun. Furthermore, Grubbin cannot capitalize on its resistances, as Ground- and Grass-types like Mudbray, Snivy, and Foongus commonly run Rock Slide and Hidden Power Fire as coverage, while Grubbin cannot do much back to Fighting-types such as Mienfoo and Croagunk, giving them free setup opportunities.
[SET]
name: Electroweb Pivot
move 1: Electroweb
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: X-Scissor
move 4: Acrobatics
item: Eviolite
ability: Swarm
nature: Relaxed
evs: 140 HP / 20 Atk / 156 Def / 156 SpD
[SET COMMENTS]
This set tries to capitalize on the Speed drop Electroweb provides to support Grubbin's teammates. However, Grubbin fails to make use of Electroweb because of its terrible stats and support movepool. One can more efficiently provide an entire team with similar Speed control via Sticky Web users such as Dewpider. Better switch-ins to Ground-, Fighting-, and Grass-types also plentifully exist, such as Vullaby, Spritzee, and Foongus.
