Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Who were those nerdy goons? Why did they call you "an asset"? And what did the Harvest King's attack really mean? You decide that there's only one person who can give you answers — the very same person who begged for your assistance. You make your way back from the treeline towards the town, checking behind yourself to make sure no shadowy riders are following you. Soon enough, the town hall comes into view.
However, just as you were about to climb the stairs, the doors of the ediface are flung wide open. Steve comes down to greet you, accompanied by a truly immense and thuggish-looking man.
"Ah, my good defenders of this town! I had high hopes for you! Very high hopes!" You notice the two business people are now standing to attention. Realization starts to creep in. "Unfortunately, you only defended the town, and not the commercial opportunities that come with it! I must say," he said, shaking his head, "I am quite disappointed." The cold fingers of certitude begin to ensnare your heart.
"People like candy, and I like to sell them candy." Steve continues. "Candy is good for everyone! You would rob this town of its most sacred tradition: making business boom by emptying our shelves?" You try to explain that the tradition is not about buying candy, but Steve dismisses your words with a swipe of his hands. "If I can't talk sense into you, then I'll just have to let my sweets do the talking."
He sends out his Pokemon. "Alright, my sweets! Put some sense into them!"
Surprising no one but the mayor himself, you completely and utterly bulldoze Steve's pet Pokemon.
"My sweets!" he yells. Steve runs down the stairs in leaps and bounds, hastening to his Pokemon to console their boo-boos. "How could you be so monstrous? What good is the harvest season, if not to make cash and pamper my little sweets?" You look on, unsure whether you should be annoyed or confused. "If you're going to ally yourselves with those... forest monsters," he spits, "...Then I'll just have to treat you to something monstrous myself!"
The immense roughneck lumbers forward, eyes leveled steadily onto the two of you. "Thus is my approach beckoned," he says evenly. "Though it does my heart no good to destroy such fine warriors, it is further from my heart still to renege on my word. I took the good mayor's coin, offering protection in return. And my protection, he shall have."
The giant draws a Poke Ball from his jacket, dwarfed by his hand. "You may pray now, if you like."
Killdozer and The Duke have a single shared HP pool of 1200. Damage taken and health restored to either Boss will increase or decrease this shared pool. When the shared HP pool reaches 0 or less, both Killdozer and The Duke will faint in sequence.
