The blue pentagon has been a quiet new addition to the summary screen of all Pokemon bred and caught in Pokemon X&Y. Though it's small and easy to glance over, the implications it carries are huge. The distinct marking of Pokemon having come from a certain game has never been this easy to read and pronounced and can be a hint at a big possible upcoming change to the VGC format. Beyond simply marking Pokemon as from the Kalos dex, this could in fact start a new trend of marking Pokemon as from being from certain games and rotating games and their Pokemon in and out of the format exactly akin to what happens in the TCG.
In this article, I want to convey this idea, provide evidence as to why this may happen, and why I think a change like this would be a great improvement for the game.
