[OVERVIEW]

Ghost
=====
* Mimikyu has an important role on Ghost teams as a physical attacker that can reliably set up Swords Dance.
* It has a very useful additional fairy typing that allows it to handle Dark types, such as Hoopa-U. This also allows it to boast a Dragon-type immunity, making it a very good offensive check to Hydreigon.
* Its amazing ability in Disguise guarantees Mimikyu an opportunity to set up Swords Dance.
* It has nearly unresisted STAB coverage and useful STAB priority in Shadow Sneak.
* It is very frail due to a poor HP stat, and is especially vulnerable to physical attacks due to its low Defense.
* It relies heavily on Swords Dance to deal a lot of damage due to its mediocre Attack stat.
* Mimikyu is outsped and pressured by common threats in Mega Charizard X, Mega Metagross, and Greninja.
* Disguise doesn’t protect Mimikyu from status, which it is already quite vulnerable to. Paralysis and Burn halve its Speed and Attack stats respectively and compromise its sweeping capabilities, while Poison puts it on a timer and makes it harder to preserve for the late-game.
* It is susceptible to being revenge killed due to its below average speed and physical bulk.

Moves
========
* Swords Dance is mandatory, as it gives Mimikyu a vital boost in power, and Mimikyu is guaranteed to be able to set up once thanks to Disguise.
* Shadow Sneak is a reliable STAB priority move that allows Mimikyu to revenge kill weakened foes like Mega Metagross as well as OHKO potential threats to its team in Gengar and Mega Alakazam when boosted.
* Play Rough is important for hitting Dark-types, which are often big threats to Ghost-type teams.
* Shadow Claw is a strong STAB Attack that when boosted, helps Mimikyu to break slower yet bulkier targets, such as Jellicent and Mega Venusaur.
* With a Ghostium Z, Mimikyu can use Neverending Nightmare to destroy walls or naturally bulky Pokemon, such as Mega Slowbro and Azumarill.

Set Details
========
* Ghostium Z can be used with Shadow Claw to destroy threats to Mimikyu and its team, such as regular Scizor and Mega Venusaur.
* Alternatively, Life Orb gives Mimikyu’s attacks an important boost in power and allows it to 2HKO threats to Ghost teams in Mega Sableye and Doublade, though Neverending Nightmare can deal with these threats just as easily as well as break through other Pokemon like Azumarill with more success.
* A Jolly nature with maximum Speed investment allows Mimikyu to outspeed threats such as Hoopa-U and Porygon-Z.
* Maximum Attack investment allows Mimikyu to hit as hard as possible.

Usage Tips
========
* It's best to use Mimikyu late-game because of Swords Dance making it a great cleaner that can pick off weakened threats.
* Mimikyu should never switch into any attack, as its Disguise will deactivate, complicating setup.
* Due to Disguise, Swords Dance should usually be the first move Mimikyu uses when it’s out. However, if it wishes to revenge kill a weakened target or hurt a Pokemon that won’t faint to +2 Shadow Sneak, it can use one of its STAB moves instead.
* It’s very hard for Mimikyu to use Swords Dance after its Disguise has been busted unless it’s forcing a switch or its foe can't heavily damage it.
* Mimikyu’s susceptibility to certain forms of priority and status means you should always be aware of these factors on the opponent’s team when using this set. Specifically, Mimikyu fears Scizor’s Bullet Punch and Talonflame’s Acrobatics.
* Mimikyu should be avoiding status at all costs due to its vulnerability to all forms. Burns severely compromise Mimikyu’s breaking capabilites, while paralysis halves its speed and leaves it outsped by the likes of Magnezone and Excadrill. Poison puts Mimikyu on a timer, which keeps it from being able to sweep as long or well as it’d like to, while sleep completely immobilizes it for a number of turns.
* Mimikyu should be sent out after its checks and counters like Alolan Muk and Skarmory are removed or weakened. This way, Mimikyu can reliably set up without worrying about immediately switching out after using Swords Dance.
* It is best to bring Mimikyu in via pivot support from Decidueye with U-turn or after one of its teammates has fainted in order to preserve Disguise.
* If Mimikyu is in danger of fainting and hasn’t yet used Neverending Nightmare, it can activate its Z-Crystal to deliver one final blow to its opponent and weaken it for Mimikyu's teammates to revenge kill.
* Mimikyu is very weak without boosts, which makes revenge killing hard given unboosted Shadow Sneak’s poor damage output.

Team Options
========
* Alolan Marowak and Chandelure can make use of their additional Fire typing to deal switch into and deal with Steel types such as Mega Metagross and Scizor that give Mimikyu trouble.
* Stealth Rock support from the likes of Alolan Marowak and Golurk can help make Mimikyu’s sweep easier due to the residual damage. Additionally, Alolan Marowak can use its Lightning Rod ability to reliably switch into powerful Electric type attacks such as Tapu Koko’s Wild Charge or Alolan Raichu’s Thunderbolt and use its wallbreaking capabilities to weaken Mimikyu's checks.
* Doublade can switch into Steel-type attacks from the likes of Magearna and Jirachi, as well as switch into powerful physical attacks that Mimikyu hates taking, such as Azumarill’s Play Rough or Scizor’s Bullet Punch. Additionally, it can usually take care of the aforementioned threats and use Swords Dance to help weaken checks that it shares with Mimikyu.
* Mimikyu appreciates Will-O-Wisp support from Sableye and Gourgeist-XL due to its poor physical bulk. Additionally, the former can switch in on steel type attacks reliably.
*Jellicent can use the combination of Toxic and Recover to wear down opposing Pokemon and allow Mimikyu to KO them with more ease.
* Mega Sableye is able to cripple physical attackers that threaten Mimikyu with Will-O-Wisp, as well as use its Magic Bounce ability to bounce back entry hazards.
* Froslass provides Mimikyu with both Spikes and Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp support, which allows it to sweep more easily due to outspeeding paralyzed threats, not having to worry about the attacks of burned Pokemon, and being able to break through Pokemon that have already taken Spikes damage more easily.
* Gengar can use its fantastic special coverage to take out physical walls that Mimikyu can have trouble breaking through, such as Porygon2 and Avalugg.
* Dhelmise and Decidueye can get rid of entry hazards, as Mimikyu’s tanking capabilities are even further compromised by its entry hazard vulnerability. They can also switch into powerful Ground-type attacks that threaten Mimikyu, such as Landorus's Earth Power or Garchomp's Earthquake.
* Mimikyu doesn't often want to switch into any attacks, as Disguise will then be broken. Because of this, pivot support from Decidueye with U-turn is very appreciated.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============
Ghost
------
* Will-O-Wisp can be run to cripple Mimikyu’s switch-ins, though this comes at the expense of losing either Shadow Claw or Shadow Sneak.
* Disguise with a Red Card can be run so that Mimikyu can function as an emergency stop to threatening sweepers, though this takes away from Mimikyu’s power due to the lack of Life Orb or a Z Crystal.

Checks and Counters
===================

Ghost
------
**Mega Scizor and Scizor**: Both Scizor and its Mega Evolution can tank any of Mimikyu’s attacks and retaliate with priority Bullet Punch, which will OHKO after Disguise deactivates.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Skarmory, Celesteela, and Heatran are able to tank Mimikyu’s attacks and either threaten it out with super effective STAB attacks or use it as fodder for setting up entry hazards.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Due to its reliance on setup to even dent some frailer Pokemon, Mimikyu struggles to do much to commonly seen physical or mixed walls in Porygon2 and defensive Landorus-T.

**Toxapex**: Toxapex resists Mimikyu’s most powerful STAB attack in Play Rough and is able to tank even a boosted Neverending Nightmare. Furthermore, its access to Toxic and Recover allows it to recover any damage it’s taken from Mimikyu and effectively stall it out.

**Faster Pokemon**: Due to Mimikyu's below average Speed stat, it's outsped and threatened by many commonly seen threats in Greninja, Excadrill in sand, and Alolan Ninetales, and it can’t often do much to these threats due to how weak its Shadow Sneak is.

**Pokemon with Mold Breaker**: Commonly seen Pokemon with the ability Mold Breaker, such as Choice Scarf Excadrill and Mega Gyarados, can nullify the effects of Mimikyu's Disguise ability and severely damage it with their STAB attacks, though Mega Gyarados must be wary of Play Rough.

**Status**: Mimikyu is extremely vulnerable to all forms of status and must take care to avoid it at all costs. Burn will halve its attack, thus heavily compromising its sweeping capabilities, while paralysis will ruin its speed. Sleep and freeze will immobilize Mimikyu, and poison will put it on a timer and shorten its sweep.

* Wood Hammer covers Rock and Water type pokemon, common problems for Mimikyu’s potential partners in Alolan Marowak and Chandelure, more reliably. It can also help Mimikyu lure and nuke walls such as Hippowdon and Tapu Fini with a Grassium Z.

Set Details
========

* Life Orb gives Mimikyu’s attacks an important boost in power.
* Ghostium Z can be used alternatively in conjunction with Shadow Claw to nuke threats to Mimikyu and its team, such as regular Scizor and Zapdos.
* Grassium Z grants Mimikyu access to a powerful Bloom Doom (via Wood Hammer) that when boosted, can OHKO common walls in Hippowdon, Alomomola and more.
* A Jolly nature allows Mimikyu to be as fast as possible and outspeed threats such as Modest Hydreigon, while Adamant allows it to hit as hard as possible.

Usage Tips

* Taunt or Will-O-Wisp can be run to cripple Mimikyu’s switch-ins, though this is at the expense of losing either Shadow Claw or Wood Hammer.
* Destiny Bond is a decent option given Mimikyu’s speed, though this often isn’t preferred for similar reasons as Will-O-Wisp.
* Disguise in conjuction with a Red Card can be run so that Mimikyu can function as an emergency stop to threatening sweepers, though this takes away from Mimikyu’s power due to no Life Orb or Z Crystal.
* Focus Sash can be run to absolutely guarantee a setup opportunity, though you shouldn’t need it if you use Mimikyu intelligently.
* Hone Claws is an inferior setup option inferior to Swords Dance due to the lack of power.

Yeah sorry. That was an accident since my forums messed up and I used google docs to write this, but it was 2:30 in the morning by the time I implemented everything I'd done so far into this so I didn't notice XD Fixed.

If adamant is used, should you still be max speed? Can't say I've used adamant sets, but since u lose to Hydregion anyway it doesn't seem as needed.

Mention pivots here. IK there are few usable ones (Decidueye, Rotom, a few niche ones like shed or Silvally) but Mimikyu really appreciates the support.
* Due to Disguise, Swords Dance should always be the first move Mimikyu uses when its out. Always? In some situations, you can attack->ko and save disguise for later, or to take on boosted threats it can't revenge with +2 sneak.
* It’s very hard for Mimikyu to use Swords Dance after its disguise has been busted unless it’s forcing a switch or can’t be heavily damaged by its opponent.

Mention substitute here imo, lots of things want to status mimikyu instead of breaking disguise.
Potentially Fairium-Z as well, since Fairy moves are the main reason to use mimikyu.

Checks and Counters
===================

Ghost
------
**Mega Scizor and Scizor**: Both Scizor and its Mega Evolved form can tank any of Mimikyu’s attacks and retaliate with priority Bullet Punch, which will OHKO after Disguise deactivates.

**Steel Types**: Mimikyu tends to struggle with common steel types such as Skarmory, Celesteela, Heatran and more due to these Pokémon's natural physical bulk which allows them to avoid 2hkos from any of Mimikyu's unboosted attacks with investment.

**Physically Bulky Pokémon**: Due to its reliance on setup to even dent some frailer Pokémon, Mimikyu struggles to do much to commonly seen physical or mixed walls in Toxapex, Celesteela and Chansey.

**Faster Pokémon**: Due to Mimikyu's below average speed stat, it's outsped and threatened by many commonly seen threats in Staraptor, Excadrill in sand, and Alolan Ninetales.

**Pokémon with Mold Breaker**: Commonly seen Pokémon with the ability Mold Breaker, such as Choice Scarf Excadrill and Mega Gyarados, can nullify the effects of Mimikyu's disguise ability and severely damage it with their STABs, though Mega Gyarados must be wary of Play Rough.

**Cloyster**: Although uncommon, Cloyster's high physical bulk and access to skill link allow it to tank Mimikyu's attacks and break its Disguise while doing damage the same turn via Icicle Spear, though it does have to be wary of Wood Hammer. I suppose it does do this, but Wood Hammer is first slash and does do a lot to cloyster, so it's not really that reliable or good of C&C.
This does not count for 1/3

Changes have been implemented. Thanks for the suggestions Quantum Tesseract!
Ah. Just as a note, Shedinja can't Bp swords dance; the two moves are illegal together. The only boost it can pass it hone claws, and idk if that's worth it.

Also probably pick a better other example for Shadow Claw, because versus Tapu Bulu you just click play rough. Maybe Victini, or perhaps Amoongus.

Tapu Lele is banned, and amoonguss isn't viable that much and is rarely seen
As for the Physical Walls section in Checks and counters, chansey can't do much to Mimikyu aside from status it, and is completely walled by the substitute set, and Mimikyu easily finds ways to set up on it. Maybe remove the mention of chansey.

* Access to Wood Hammer grants it good offensive synergy with Alolan Marowak and Chandelure.
* Is very frail due to poor HP stat.
* Relies heavily on Swords Dance to do much damage due to mediocre base 90 attack stat.
* Is outsped and pressured by common threats in Infernape, the Mega Charizards,and Serperior. Serperior isnt that common and also not too much of a threat to Ghost teams. Same with Infernape, and Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y must be mentioned separately.
* Is susceptible to being revenge killed due to its below average speed and physical bulk.
* Is a physical attacker, which is very useful on ghost type teams. How exactly is it useful? This its a bit vague. Expand along the lines of "However, despite it's flaws, it is still and excellent choice on Ghost teams, being one of the few viable physical attackers on an otherwise specially oriented type."

Moves
========

* Swords Dance is mandatory, as it gives Mimikyu a vital boost in power and is guaranteed to be set up once thanks to Disguise.
* Shadow Sneak is a reliable STAB priority move that allows Mimikyu to revenge kill weakened opponents as well as OHKO potential threats to its team in Gengar and Mega Alakazam when boosted. Mega alakazam isn't the best thing to mention, talk about something like a weakened Mega Metagross (which isn't running bullet punch this gen)
* Alternatively, Shadow Claw is strong stab that helps Mimikyu to break slower yet bulkier opponents, such as Jellicent and Amoonguss. Amoonguss isn't the best mention, talk about something else. Like maybe Mega Venusaur
* Wood Hammer covers Rock and Water type pokemon, common problems for Mimikyu’s potential partners in Alolan Marowak and Chandelure, more reliably.
* If Mimikyu is holding a Grassium Z, it can use Bloom Doom with very high base power provided by Wood Hammer to nuke common walls in Hippowdon and Mega Slowbro.
* If Mimikyu is holding a Ghostium Z, it can use Neverending Nightmare in a similar fashion as Bloom Doom to nuke other walls or naturally bulky Pokémon, such as Mega Scizor after chip damage and Mew. Mega Scizor would just use bullet punch, new doesn't exactly check it too well.

Set Details
========

* Life Orb gives Mimikyu’s attacks an important boost in power. What does this boost in power allow it to KO? What would it miss out on otherwise?
* Ghostium Z can be used alternatively in conjunction with Shadow Claw to nuke threats to Mimikyu and its team, such as regular Scizor and Zapdos. Remove the word 'alternatively'. It shouldn't be used here. Also, Zapdos doesn't check it too well.
With an Adamant nature, Mimikyu can afford to drop some of its Speed EVs to invest in HP, as this will allow it to be a little bulkier while still outspeeding the likes of Crawdaunt and Tyranitar. Modest Hydreigon is never used in monotype

Usage Tips
========

* Is best used as a late game cleaner due to strong priority and ability to pick off weakened threats quite well.
* Mimikyu should never switch into any attack unless its immune, as its disguise will be broken and it won’t be able to reliably set up.
* Due to Disguise, Swords Dance should usually be the first move Mimikyu uses when its out, unless it is capable of revenge-killing its opponent unboosted or wishes to hurt a boosted opponent that it cannot KO with a +2 Shadow Sneak.
* It’s very hard for Mimikyu to use Swords Dance after its disguise has been busted unless it’s forcing a switch or can’t be heavily damaged by its opponent.
* Mimikyu’s susceptibility to certain forms of priority and status means you should always be aware of these factors on the opponent’s team when using this set.
* Mimikyu should be sent out after its hard-checks are eliminated so it’s easier for it to set up Swords Dance without wasting its stat boosts and immediately switching out.
* It is best to bring Mimikyu in via pivot support from Rotom or Decidueye or after one of its teammates has died in order to preserve Disguise. Rotom is VERY uncommon. Replace 'died' with 'fainted'

Team Options
========

* Partners well with Chandelure and Alolan Marowak if it’s carrying Wood Hammer, as it can take care of their common worries in Rock and Water types, while they can take care of Steel types.
* Doublade can switch into physical attacks that Mimikyu hates taking and Steel type attacks in General.
* Mimikyu appreciates Will-O-Wisp support from Jellicent and Sableye due to its poor physical bulk. Additionally, the former can switch in on steel type attacks reliably. Mega Sableye. Sableye is non-existent now. Mega Sableye needs to be talked about separately, as it does more than use Will-O-Wisp, such as bouncing back status moves, Taunt, hazards, and punishes set-up sweepers with Foul Play.
* Froslass provides Mimikyu with both Spikes and Will-O-Wisp support, which allow it to sweep more easily. Froslass usually carries Thunder Wave over Will-o-wisp, mention that instead.
* Gengar can take out physical walls that Mimikyu can have trouble breaking through. Examples?
* Dhelmise and Decidueye can get rid of hazards, as Mimikyu’s tanking capabilities are even further compromised by its hazard vulnerability. They can also allow it to forego running Wood Hammer to make room for Shadow Claw. It doesn't have any 'tanking capabilities'. Just say that Mimikyu is further compromised due to its vulnerability to hazards.
* Because it doesn't often wish to switch into attacks due to Disguise being broken, Mimikyu appreciates slow pivot support from bulky Rotom or Decidueye. Again, remove the mention on Rotom.

* Hone Claws is an inferior setup option inferior to Swords Dance due to the lack of power. This shouldn't even be mentioned, it is just absolutely useless in front of Swords Dance.
* Substitute is a viable option, as it allows Mimikyu to stay healthy against Pokémon that wish to status it over breaking its Disguise.
* Mimikyu can opt to use Fairium Z over other Z Crystals, as it can help to break bulkier Dark types like Mega Sableye and Tyranitar.

Mention Porygon2 over Chansey, as it carries Foul Play and can punish Mimikyu if it tries to set up.

**Status**:

**Rough Skin, Iron Barbs, Rocky Helmet**:
Remember, this doesn't count towards official QC checks.

You can add that if mimikyu manages to take a hit they received from a mold breaker, its disguise is not broken. Not sure if it is happening in game too or if it should be mentionned in the analysis or just in the ability description, but well I'm just leaving it here.

AM QC check, please do not implement anything yet until QC has went over this! I'm trying to not go by the above checks to add here since some was already said. A few...I want to touch on but I'll leave that to QC to check the above AMs instead.

OVERIVEW:

- "Has nearly unresisted STAB coverage and useful STAB priority in Shadow Sneak." I'd add before this that Mimikyu's offensive typing has nearly resisted STAB coverage...and so on.
- I know its speed is rather average but tell us what its base 95 Speed allow it to outspeed. Mimikyu's Speed is...sorta odd but it's worth mentioning what important Pokemon this cloth can overtake.
- Hmm...given that some of Mimikyu's checks/counters are gone, it's rather safe to say that with the combination of its Attack, Speed, and access to Swords Dance, it can serve as a cleaner for Ghost teams.
- Talk a little bit more about Mimikyu's Disguise ability as a flaw, it's pretty much a dumb-down version of Substitute. Mimikyu is still vulnerable to status such as poison, burns, and paralysis, meaning things such as Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, and Thunder Wave can all affect it. It still takes damage from entry hazards upon switching in. Mimikyu is still affected by Intimidate users such as Gyarados, Staraptor, and Landorus-T. Mold Breaker Pokemon are a huge problem for Mimikyu as well.
- I'd mention a bit more on Swords Dance because Mimikyu has trouble breaking through physically defensive Pokemon wall it even after a Swords Dance boost.

Moves:

- One thing I'll say is, some run Tough Claws Bullet Punch on Mega Metagross so Mimikyu would most definitely need to be careful of that if its Disguise is broken because that has a decent chance to KO without entry hazards.
- Mention how Wood Hammer is able to KO Ground-types such as Gastrodon, Swampert, and Seismatoad.
- Neverending Nightmare would also just be something to deal a lot of damage to the opposing Pokemon before Mimikyu has a chance to faint. Usually when I utilize it on Ghost teams and Mimikyu is ready to faint with my opponent's health being or near full, I'd resort to using that whether or not I have my Swords Dance up. (Would say this can be in Usage Tips instead of here with Mimikyu just going out "with a bang" from its Z-move if not used yet).

Set Details:

- You might want to replace Hydreigon in what Jolly Mimikyu outspeeds because usually Hydreigon runs +speed would much rather want to be as fast as possible, especially with it running Choice Scarf as one of its common items (other than Life Orb). Maybe say...Jolly nature Mimikyu allows it to outspeed anything under 96 Speed stat and list some better examples.
- I'd probably mention what can Adamant do that Jolly can't in KOing certain threats.

Usage Tips:

- "Mimikyu should never switch into any attack unless its immune, as its disguise will be broken and it won’t be able to reliably set up." This part here is kind of tricky because this only applies to Dragon-types in specific. I'd reword that. "Maybe say: "Mimikyu should never never switch into any attack unless it's predicting the opponent to switch out of one of its teammates."
- Mimikyu should be avoiding status at all costs because it ruins its capability to clean teams later in the game.

Team Options:

- Mention how Mimikyu enjoys having Alolan Marowak's support as a wallbreaker, and be a good switch-in to any Electric-type moves because of its Lightning Rod ability.
- Mention that both Alolan Marowak and Golurk and provide Stealth Rock support for Mimikyu, which is very beneficial for a cleaner, especially with it running Swords Dance.
- I'd add how Jellicent's support with Toxic + Recover can wear down opposing Pokemon for Mimikyu to KO easier. I'd also say how Water Absorb helps keep Mimikyu's Disguise ability free if not broken and avoid any potential Scald burns.
- Add how Mega Sableye can be used as a Knock Off absorber if Mimikyu is running Life Orb. That applies to both when Disguise is intact or not.
- Mention that Decidueye and Dhelmise are good switch-ins for Mimikyu to tank Ground-type attacks for it.

Other Options:

- I'd also add Leech Life because it's a good 80 BP move for Mimikyu to get longevity off from while dealing damage, especially with Swords Dance.
- I would want to remove Hone Claws, I see no purpose of it being there.

You can add that if mimikyu manages to take a hit they received from a mold breaker, its disguise is not broken. Not sure if it is happening in game too or if it should be mentionned in the analysis or just in the ability description, but well I'm just leaving it here.
Mold Breaker bypasses Disguise yes, which is very troubling for Mimikyu, especially if doesn't have a chance to set up Swords Dance. It also happens In-Game too. It much rather wants to avoid taking damage from hard-hitting physical attackers at costs even if Disguise is still intact such as Excadrill and Mega Gyarados.

A lot of what you've brought up is definitely worthy to me of being implemented, but I'd like to wait for an actual QC check to change anything else at this point, since I've made a lot of differences already and want QC's input. Thanks for the suggestions nonetheless :)

Btw Misaka Mikoto idk about Leech Life under other options tbh. It's nice that Mimikyu can heal off recoil damage from LO but bug coverage isn't need considering its stabs already hit Dark and Psychic super effectively. Lots of Grass types also have bug resistant secondary types.

It's fine if it's not included!

I had it over Shadow Claw for a couple weeks starting into the new gen but found it to be sorta redundant going against Dark and Psychic.

You didn't mention Bulk up anywhere. It's an other set up move Mimikyu has that can work well with leech life, especially against dark teams. Then you can try using lefties with it or just ghostium Z for the needed power on SSneak.

A couple amchecks to go through here. Implement whatever I don't disagree with, I'll be working over them. HNBL and Misaka Mikoto see comments in bold blue. Good job both of you. Also nice work Quantum Tesseract, I can go over your check with you if you want some other time. It's been implemented afaik so I won't here.

By the way, GreenGan, Bulk Up is just not viable because Mimikyu greatly values the greater damage from Swords Dance. Without +2, Mimikyu cannot OHKO Mandibuzz even with Stealth Rock damage, allowing Mandibuzz to KO it back with Foul Play.
[OVERVIEW]

Ghost
=====
* Has a very useful additional fairy typing that allows it to handle dark types. This also allows it to boast a dragon type immunity, making it a very good offensive check to Hydreigon.
* Has an amazing ability in Disguise, which guarantees Mimikyu an opportunity to set up Swords Dance.
* Has nearly unresisted STAB coverage and useful STAB priority in Shadow Sneak. Pyroar. Don't mention it, it isn't viable, but I'm just giving an example.
Sort of agree with this. Better examples would be like Greninja or Mega Metagross, though.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Mega alakazam isn't the best thing to mention, talk about something like a weakened Mega Metagross (which isn't running bullet punch this gen) Mega Alakazam is fine. Up to Hilomilo whether add Mega Metagross or not, but don't remove Mega Alakazam.
Agree for Mew. For Mega Scizor, since this lets Mimikyu beat it if Disguise is active, I'm kind of iffy. I like Azumarill as a better example to be honest, but Mega Scizor isn't necessarily a bad one.

Set Details
========

With an Adamant nature, Mimikyu can afford to drop some of its Speed EVs to invest in HP, as this will allow it to be a little bulkier while still outspeeding the likes of Crawdaunt and Tyranitar. Modest Hydreigon is never used in monotype

Usage Tips
========

========

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Ghost
------
* Lum Berry can be run over Life Orb or a Z Crystal to relieve Mimikyu’s worry of status, though this is at the cost of a substantial amount of power.
Also mention that hazard removal on Ghost teams is quite hard. Well not wrong, but this shouldn't be an OO at all.

Checks and Counters
===================

Ghost
------
**Mega Scizor and Scizor**: Both Scizor and its Mega Evolved form can tank any of Mimikyu’s attacks and retaliate with priority Bullet Punch, which will OHKO after Disguise deactivates. Just add this entire bullet to **Steel types** I'd say Scizor is a bigger threat than most Steel-types, as it pretty much counters any Mimikyu that doesn't have Neverending Nightmare still ready.

Mention Porygon2 over Chansey, as it carries Foul Play and can punish Mimikyu if it tries to set up.

**Status**:

**Rough Skin, Iron Barbs, Rocky Helmet**: Not really convinced this is necessary
. Mimikyu can't really tank hits anyway, and only burns and Toxic poison will trouble it when it comes to chip damage. If it's being worn down by these residual effects, Mimikyu likely has bigger problems.

Wouldn't two lines be redundant? Let's go with your idea of talking about the offensive typing being almost unresisted in its own line and then not repeat it.
- I know its speed is rather average but tell us what its base 95 Speed allow it to outspeed. Mimikyu's Speed is...sorta odd but it's worth mentioning what important Pokemon this cloth can overtake. Mimikyu has base 96 Speed. Agree with the idea though. Kyurem-B and Hoopa-U are two great options to list here. Kyurem-B because its Teravolt allows it to ignore Disguise, and Hoopa-U because it's a huge threat to Ghost teams.
Status is the main issue here, so just say that Disguise fails to protect Mimikyu from status, which it is quite vulnerable to.

This would go in Usage Tips, but it's not really worth mentioning because Bullet Punch Mega Metagross is pretty bad.
- Mention how Wood Hammer is able to KO Ground-types such as Gastrodon, Swampert, and Seismatoad. Wood Hammer shouldn't be used.
Yes. In Usage Tips.

Adamant leaves you outsped by Kyurem-B, Nidoking, and Alolan Raichu out of Electric Terrain, so I'd pretty much never use it.

Leech Life doesn't really work because Mimikyu cannot really take hits, so it's just difficult to get value. Bug coverage is pretty useless too.
- I would want to remove Hone Claws, I see no purpose of it being there.

Overview:
- Note that it's a Hoopa-U check. Not only does it outspeed Hoopa-U, it OHKOes with Play Rough and is the only legal Ghost-type that can do so.
- Wood Hammer isn't viable, remove that.

Set:
- Wood Hammer isn't viable. It just doesn't fix anything Mimikyu has trouble with (Steel-types, walls)
- Shadow Claw + Ghostium Z is pretty much the only set Mimikyu should really use. The one-time burst is needed to get passed some walls.
- Adamant means you get outsped by Kyurem-B, Nidoking, and Alolan Raichu (as I mentioned above), so it's really not viable.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance (Ghost)
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Shadow Sneak
move 3: Play Rough
move 4: Shadow Claw
item: Ghostium Z
ability: Disguise
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Moves:
- No line for Play Rough? Play Rough is so important because it hits Dark-types, most notably Hoopa-U, and is its most powerful STAB attack. Need to have a line here for that.
- Shadow Claw isn't optional anymore, so reword that line.
- Remove Wood Hammer and Bloom Doom lines.

Set Details:
- Remove Grassium Z line. Life Orb line can be kept. It should be noted that Mimikyu loses the one-time use of Neverending Nightmare.
- Move Ghostium Z line to first.
- Remove any mention of Adamant. Jolly is needed for the examples I listed above.

Usage Tips:
- Talk about using Neverending Nightmare here.
- I'd have a more detailed line about revenge killing here. Make it clear that Mimikyu is really weak without boosts, so even though it does have Shadow Sneak, it struggles to really revenge kill anything meaningfully.

Team Options:
- No Wood Hammer, so need to fix those lines that mention it.
- Definitely need to talk about using Doublade as another Swords Dance sweeper that can help weaken their shared checks. That's a core reason for using Doublade alongside Mimikyu at all.
- Make absolute sure to do the Alolan Marowak line that Misaka said.
- Mention Mega Sableye Knock Off support, letting it remove Eviolite from Chansey and Porygon2. Also, explain that Mega Sableye is a great stallbreaker that can pressure walls that Mimikyu can't break like Skarmory.

Other Options:
- Lum Berry doesn't provide damage, which Mimikyu already seriously lacks, so it should be removed. (Unlike Red Card, which actually has real uses)
- I'm not sure Taunt can work here. Even if Mimikyu Taunts a wall like Skarmory or Hippowdon, it lacks the power of Neverending Nightmare to actually break it reasonably. Will-O-Wisp is probably OK as an OO though.
- I don't think Destiny Bond is viable.
- Focus Sash isn't viable.
- Hone Claws isn't viable.
- Substitute isn't viable.
- Fairium Z is completely outclassed by Ghostium Z. You would literally never use it.

Checks and Counters:
- Note in Faster Pokemon that because Mimikyu's Shadow Sneak is weak, it has a very hard time beating them.
- Celesteela's not a good example, it's almost always OHKOed by +2 Neverending Nightmare. Defensive Landorus-T is a great replacement.

In general, you need examples throughout the analysis, so please liberally add them. For example, what Pokemon does Doublade switch into? What hard checks do you mean that should be removed before Mimikyu sweeps?

I want to see what it looks like after implementation, mostly because there's a lot in the two amchecks, so tag me after you finish implementing everything and I'll give it a quick glance over.

Couple comments left:
Staraptor isn't a common threat, so change that to Greninja.

The set shouldn't have Life Orb slashed. If another Pokemon is using a Z-move, that is the only time Mimikyu should use Life Orb, and it's much worse.

Rotom should never be mentioned anywhere.

Add to Alolan Marowak that it's a great wallbreaker, which can help take out Mimikyu's checks.

For Checks and Counters, I think Toxapex should be its own section. Always switches in and has Regenerator to ensure it's going to be high HP, access to Haze, can burn with Scald, tanks even +2 Neverending Nightmare, etc. It's just a perfect counter to Mimikyu.

Nicely done, thanks for your hard work. QC 1/3

* Due to Disguise, Swords Dance should usually be the first move Mimikyu uses when it’s out, unless it is capable of revenge-killing its opponent unboosted or wishes to hurt a boosted opponent that it cannot KO with a +2 Shadow Sneak. wording
* It’s very hard for Mimikyu to use Swords Dance after its disguise has been busted unless it’s forcing a switch or can’t be heavily damaged by its opponent. this isn't worded like a usage tip should be
* Mimikyu’s susceptibility to certain forms of priority and status means you should always be aware of these factors on the opponent’s team when using this set. Examples
* Mimikyu should be avoiding status at all costs due to its vulnerability to all forms. Explain more about status in depth? What does burn, paralysis sleep, and poison do to cripple Mimikyu?
* Mimikyu should be sent out after its hard-checks like Alolan Muk and Skarmory are eliminated so it’s easier for it to set up Swords Dance without wasting its stat boosts and immediately switching out. wording
* It is best to bring Mimikyu in via pivot support from Decidueye or after one of its teammates has fainted in order to preserve Disguise. How does Decidueye support? U-turn?
* If Mimikyu hasn’t used Neverending Nighmare, but is about to faint and is unboosted, it should just activate the Z-Move to weaken its opponent and allow one of its partners to revenge kill them. wording
* Mimikyu is very weak without boosts, which makes revenge killing hard given unboosted Shadow Sneak’s poor damage output.

Team Options
========

* Alolan Marowak and Chandelure can make use of their additional Fire types to deal switch into and deal with Steel types such as Mega Metagross and Scizor that give Mimikyu trouble.
* Stealth Rock support from the likes of Alolan Marowak and Golurk can help make Mimikyu’s sweep easier due to the residual damage. Additionally, Alolan Marowak can use its Lightning Rod ability to reliably switch into powerful Electric type attacks such as Tapu Koko’s Wild Charge or Alolan Raichu’s Thunderbolt and use its wall breaking capabilities to weaken Mimikyu's checks.
* Doublade can switch into Steel type attacks from the likes of Magearna and Jirachi, as well as switch into powerful physical attacks that Mimikyu hates taking, such as Azumarill’s Play Rough or Staraptor’s Brave Bird. Additionally, it can usually take care of the aforementioned threats and use Swords Dance to help weaken checks that it shares with Mimikyu. Staraptor isn't very relevant find a better example
* Mimikyu appreciates Will-O-Wisp support from Jellicent and Gourgeist-Super due to its poor physical bulk. Additionally, the former can switch in on steel type attacks reliably. Additionally, Jellicent can use its combination of the moves Toxic and Recover to wear down opponents and allow Mimikyu to KO them with more ease. Jellicent typically doesn't use Wil-O-Wisp because it has Scald
* Mega Sableye provides Mimikyu with Will-O-Wisp support, and also can use Magic Bounce to discourage the opponent from setting hazards, as well as using moves like Taunt or Toxic, which can cripple Mimikyu. Additionally, Mega Sableye can reliably Knock Off the eviolites of Chansey and Porygon2, which makes it easier for Mimikyu to take on the Pokemon. Wording
* Froslass provides Mimikyu with both Spikes and Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp support, which allow it to sweep more easily. How? very vague
* Gengar can take out physical walls that Mimikyu can have trouble breaking through, such as Porygon2 or Avalugg. Gengar provides more than that with it's amazing coverage
* Dhelmise and Decidueye can get rid of hazards, as Mimikyu’s tanking capabilities are even further compromised by its hazard vulnerability. They can also switch into powerful ground type attacks that threaten Mimikyu, such as Landorus’ Earth Power or Garchomp’s Earthquake. How do they get rid of hazards?
* Because it doesn't often wish to switch into attacks due to Disguise being broken, Mimikyu appreciates slow pivot support from Decidueye. Wording and How?

Other Options
=============

Ghost
------

* Will-O-Wisp can be run to cripple Mimikyu’s switch-ins, though this is at the expense of losing either Shadow Claw or Shadow Sneak.
* Destiny Bond is a decent option given Mimikyu’s speed, though this often isn’t preferred for similar reasons as Will-O-Wisp.I don't see a niche in Destiny Bond
* Disguise in conjunction with a Red Card can be run so that Mimikyu can function as an emergency stop to threatening sweepers, though this takes away from Mimikyu’s power due to no Life Orb or Z Crystal. Wording

Checks and Counters
===================

Ghost
------
**Mega Scizor and Scizor**: Both Scizor and its Mega Evolved form can tank any of Mimikyu’s attacks and retaliate with priority Bullet Punch, which will OHKO after Disguise deactivates.

**Steel Types**: Mimikyu tends to struggle with common steel types such as Skarmory, Celesteela, Heatran and more due to these Pokémon's natural physical bulk which allows them to avoid 2HKOs from any of Mimikyu's unboosted attacks with investment. wording

**Physically Walls Pokémon**: Due to its reliance on setup to even dent some frailer PokémonPokemon(Pokemon should not be spelled with an accent of the e, Mimikyu struggles to do much to commonly seen physical or mixed walls in Toxapex, Porygon2 and Defensive Landorus-T. Toxapex is mentioned as a counter later

**Toxapex**: Toxapex's impressive physical bulk allows it to live even a boosted Neverending Nightmare, and either recover the damage off with Recover and Regenerator or pressure Mimikyu with Toxic or Scald burns. Wording

**Faster PokémonPokemon**: Due to Mimikyu's below average speed stat, it's outsped and threatened by many commonly seen threats in Greninja, Sand Rush Excadrill in sand, and Alolan Ninetales, and can’t often do much to these threats due to how weak its Shadow Sneak is.

**Pokémon Pokemon with Mold Breaker**: Commonly seen PokémonPokemon with the ability Mold Breaker, such as Choice Scarf Excadrill and Mega Gyarados, can nullify the effects of Mimikyu's Disguise ability and severely damage it with their STABs, though Mega Gyarados must be wary of Play Rough.

**Status**: Mimikyu is extremely vulnerable to all forms of status, as burns half its attack, paralysis halves its speed, and being badly poisoned puts it on an undesirable timer. wording
There are some grammar issues with the analysis. I tried to help my pointing them out in my QC (check wording). Content wise it's fine besides irrelevant and or missing examples.

looks good. just a couple comments on the overview. QC 3/3
Ghost
=====
* The first point should describe Mimikyu's primary role on a Ghost Monotype team. It is a physical attacker that leverages its excellent ability to reliably set up SD's
* Has a very useful additional fairy typing that allows it to handle dark types. This also allows it to boast a dragon type immunity, making it a very good offensive check to Hydreigon and Hoopa-Unbound. Fix this phrasing. It implies that Mimikyu is switching in on Dragon-type attacks from Hoopa-U.
* Has an amazing ability in Disguise, which guarantees Mimikyu an opportunity to set up Swords Dance.
* Has nearly unresisted STAB coverage and useful STAB priority in Shadow Sneak.
* Is a physical attacker, which is very useful on ghost type teams considering the type's general lack of physical attackers.
* Is very frail due to poor HP stat.
* Especially vulnerable to Physical attacks due to its low Defense.
* Relies heavily on Swords Dance to deal a lot of damage due to its mediocre attack stat.
* Is outsped and pressured by common threats in Mega Charizard X, Mega Metagross and Greninja.
* Disguise doesn’t protect it from status, which it is already quite vulnerable to. Paralysis and Burn half its speed and attack stats respectively and compromise its sweeping capabilities, while Poison puts it on a timer and makes it harder to preserve for late game.
* Is susceptible to being revenge killed due to its below average speed and physical bulk.

Moves
========
* Swords Dance is mandatory, as it gives Mimikyu a vital boost in power and is guaranteed to be set up once thanks to Disguise.
* Shadow Sneak is a reliable STAB priority move that allows Mimikyu to revenge kill weakened opponents like Mega Metagross as well as OHKO potential threats to its team in Gengar and Mega Alakazam when boosted.
* Play Rough is important for hitting Dark types, which are often big threats to Ghost type teams.
* Shadow Claw is strong stab that when boosted, helps Mimikyu to break slower yet bulkier opponents, such as Jellicent and Mega Venusaur.
* With a Ghostium Z, Mimikyu can use Neverending Nightmare to nuke walls or naturally bulky Pokemon, such as Mega Slowbro and Azumarill.

Set Details
========
* Ghostium Z can be used with Shadow Claw to nuke threats to Mimikyu and its team, such as regular Scizor and Mega Venusaur.
* Alternatively, Life Orb gives Mimikyu’s attacks an important boost in power and allows it to 2HKO threats to Ghost teams in Mega Sableye and Doublade, though this is at the cost of losing access to Neverending Nightmare, which can deal with these threats just as easily as well as break through other Pokemon like Azumarill to more success.
* A Jolly nature with maximum Speed investment allows Mimikyu to outspeed threats such as Hoopa-Unbound and Porygon-Z.
* Maximum attack investment allows Mimikyu to hit almost as hard as possible.

Usage Tips
========
* It's best to use Mimikyu late-game because of its access to Swords Dance, making it a great cleaner in picking off weakened threats.
* Mimikyu should never switch into any attack, as its Disguise will deactivate and complicate setup.
* Due to Disguise, Swords Dance should usually be the first move Mimikyu uses when it’s out. However, if it wishes to revenge kill a weakened opponent or hurt a Pokemon that won’t faint to +2 Shadow Sneak, it can use one of its STAB moves instead.

* Froslass provides Mimikyu with both Spikes and Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp support, which allow it to sweep more easily, due to outspeeding paralyzed threats, not worrying about the attacks of burned Pokemon and hitting Pokemon that have already taken Spikes damage.
* Gengar can use its fantastic special coverage to take out physical walls that Mimikyu can have trouble breaking through, such as Porygon2 or Avalugg.
* Mimikyu doesn't often want to switch into any attacks, as Disguise will then be broken. Because of this, pivot support from Decidueye with U-turn is very appreciated
