[OVERVIEW]

Oricorio-E is a premier threat in PU thanks to its good defensive typing, decent bulk, and access to Roost, which make it a solid and consistent answer to Pokemon such as Gurdurr, Scyther, Ferroseed, and Hitmonchan. It has a good utility movepool, with options such as Taunt to beat walls like Lanturn and Audino that try to cripple it with Toxic and Calm Mind to greatly threaten teams lacking a consistent answer and have an incredible matchup against bulky teams. This is further enhanced by its good Speed, which allows it to outspeed common Pokemon, such as Stoutland, Skuntank, Qwilfish, and Kangaskhan. Oricorio-E is also fairly unpredictable, as its sets have different counterplay for the most part, and the Calm Mind set is able to pick its checks thanks to its decent movepool; if using Hidden Power Fighting, it can beat Alolan Sandslash and pressure Rock-types like Aggron, while Taunt allows it to beat walls like Lanturn and Clefairy. However, it suffers from only decent bulk and a weakness to Stealth Rock, which hamper its ability to check what it's supposed to check. This also means that it's often forced to use Roost, which can result in a huge momentum loss. Oricorio-E doesn't hit particularly hard unless it has boosted several times, which means that it often finds itself walled by very common foes like Regirock, Alolan Sandslash, and Lanturn depending on what it's using. In a similar vein, while it's decently fast, it's outsped by dangerous and common threats like Lycanroc, Choice Scarf Aurorus, Cryogonal, Simisear, and Jynx, which can all deal with it or force it out and even set up while it's forced to switch out in the case of Lycanroc, Simisear, and Jynx. Lastly, it's susceptible to status ailments, especially poison, as they greatly hinder its defensive prowess.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash, Aurorus, and Aggron harder than anything else, which can otherwise take advantage of Oricorio-E or even switch into it in the case of Alolan Sandslash. Taunt is an option that allows Oricorio-E to act as a stallbreaker, prevents Pokemon such as Clefairy and Audino from crippling it with Toxic, gives Oricorio-E more chances to set up, and shuts down entry hazards setters and removers like Mudsdale, Ferroseed, Qwilfish, and Skuntank. Finally, Revelation Dance is an alternative option for a weaker but more reliable STAB attack that also allows Oricorio-E to pressure Articuno and Regirock more easily.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature alongside maximum Speed investment allows Oricorio-E to outspeed threats like Skuntank, Rotom-F, and Qwilfish and Speed tie with opposing Oricorio-E. Dancer, albeit situational, allows Oricorio-E to punish moves such as Bellossom's Quiver Dance and Oricorio-G's Revelation Dance. Flyinium Z, when used alongside Hurricane, allows Oricorio-E to muscle past bulky titans like Audino, Mudsdale, Altaria, and even Pokemon that resist it like Lanturn. It also allows Oricorio-E to deal with frailer offensive threats, like Rotom-F and Skuntank, and ignore Hurricane's poor accuracy. Rocky Helmet is an alternative to Flyinium Z if you already have a Z-Move user on your team to chip down threats like Gurdurr, Primeape, Scyther, and Kangaskhan, which often use moves like Knock Off, U-turn, and Fake Out.

Usage Tips
========

Oricorio-E should take advantage of the Pokemon it checks and forces out to set up with Calm Mind, attack, or heal itself with Roost if it's weakened, which can also be used to reduce damage taken from Electric-type attacks from the likes of Lanturn and Eelektross. In order to prevent a momentum loss, it should wear down its checks such as Regirock and Alolan Sandslash before trying to set up with Calm Mind, although the latter struggles against Hidden Power Fighting variants. However, if the opponent only has checks unable to switch into Oricorio-E, such as Aggron, setting up with Calm Mind allows it to pressure the opposing team more easily. It's important to keep Oricorio-E away from status ailments, as they greatly cripple Oricorio-E and hinder its ability to check threats like Oricorio-G and clean with Calm Mind. Oricorio-E should be played differently depending on its last moveslot. Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash, Aurorus, and Aggron, which means that it can pressure them and even set up if they're the opponent's only check. However, if running Taunt, Oricorio-E can use defensive behemoths that could otherwise cripple it or set up alongside it like Altaria, Lanturn, and Clefairy as setup fodder.

Team Options
========

Oricorio-E greatly appreciates entry hazard removal, as it can be overwhelmed by threats like Gurdurr or forced to use Roost and lose momentum if Stealth Rock is present. Therefore, Rapid Spin and Defog users such as Alolan Sandslash, which checks Ice-types, and Skuntank, which chips Regirock, are heavily recommended. Lurantis is another good partner, as it can also pressure Regirock for Oricorio-E. Pokemon that appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to check threats like Gurdurr, Hitmonchan, Bellossom, and Oricorio-G work well alongside it. An example of this is Regirock, which can set Stealth Rock for Oricorio-E, cripple opposing Regirock with Toxic, and chip Alolan Sandslash. Oricorio-E also appreciates partners such as Substitute + Toxic Kangaskhan and Stoutland, which soften up walls like Regirock, Eelektross, and Lanturn for Oricorio-E; Stoutland can even Pursuit trap the latter two. Entry hazard setters like Froslass, Aggron, Ferroseed, and Qwilfish make for decent partners to ease Oricorio-E's job; Qwilfish and Froslass also act as secondary Fighting-type checks, which reduces pressure on Oricorio-E. Oricorio-E often finds itself forced out by faster Rock-types like Lycanroc and Choice Scarf Kabutops. Due to this, it appreciates having a partner able to deal with them, such as Gurdurr, Mudsdale, and Tangela. In a similar vein, it also struggles against faster Ice-types such as Jynx and Choice Scarf Aurorus, which means that Pokemon able to switch into them such as Cryogonal and Lanturn or even Pokemon able to check them, like Choice Scarf Dodrio and Primeape, make for good partners.

[SET]
name: Stallbreaker
move 1: Toxic
move 2: Taunt
move 3: Roost
move 4: Hurricane / Revelation Dance
item: Leftovers
ability: Dancer
nature: Timid
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Toxic allows Oricorio-E to cripple its switch-ins, such as Regirock and Cryogonal. In combination with Taunt, it also allows Oricorio-E to deal with walls like Audino and Heal Bell Lanturn. Revelation Dance is an option over Hurricane, as it hits Steel- and Rock-types like Alolan Sandslash and Regirock, notably weakening the latter faster.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature alongside maximum Speed investment allows Oricorio-E to outspeed threats like Skuntank, Rotom-F, and Qwilfish and Speed tie with opposing Oricorio formes. Leftovers grants Oricorio-E passive recovery, which means it isn't forced to use Roost as often.

Usage Tips
========

Oricorio-E should aim to cripple switch-ins such as Regirock and even beat bulky titans like Toxic Audino and Lanturn thanks to a combination of Toxic, Taunt, and Roost. This set is rather uncommon compared to boosting ones, and their answers differ. Due to this, it's a good idea to not reveal Oricorio-E's set too early in the game. It can cripple unexpecting switch-ins, such as Regirock, Eelektross, and Audino, making it easier for a teammate to break through them. Status from Pokemon like Altaria, Audino, and Gastrodon should be avoided, especially Toxic, as Oricorio-E struggles to stallbreak or check threats as effectively when crippled.

Team Options
========

Pokemon like Omastar, Simisear, and Dodrio appreciate Oricorio-E wearing down and beating defensive behemoths such as Lanturn, Audino, and Regirock. Lycanroc is another solid partner, as it appreciates Oricorio-E's ability to weaken Mudsdale and check Fighting- and Ground-types like Gurdurr and Gastrodon. In exchange, Lycanroc is able to set Stealth Rock and can pressure threats like Cryogonal, which gives Oricorio-E a hard time. Entry hazard removal lets Oricorio-E check what it's supposed to check more easily, so Pokemon like Skuntank and Alolan Sandslash work well with it. The former appreciates Oricorio-E wearing down Regirock for it, and they both can check Grass-types like Bellossom, taking pressure off Oricorio-E. They also both appreciate Oricorio-E dealing with Ground- and Fighting-types like non-Rock Slide Mudsdale and Gurdurr. Entry hazards ease Oricorio-E's job, as they help it chip down walls like Mudsdale and Gastrodon faster while also easing its matchup against threats like Regirock, which otherwise walls it with little to no difficulty. Therefore, setters like Qwilfish and Golurk work well alongside it. These also appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to use Taunt on Defog users like Skuntank, and they also act as secondary Fighting-type checks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Oricorio-E can use a more offensive Calm Mind set thanks to its decent coverage, although this set suffers from competition from Oricorio-G due to its inferior offensive typing and inability to check threats like Gurdurr as well. Oricorio-E can also successfully use a Choice Scarf set due to its ability to outspeed dangerous threats like Omastar and Carracosta and access to U-turn, and it has a nice surprise factor. However, locking Oricorio-E into the wrong move can be costly, as it can be taken advantage of by Pokemon like Lycanroc and Ferroseed. Choice Specs makes Oricorio-E a rather threatening wallbreaker due to its good coverage, Hurricane's Base Power, and its Speed and immediate power, although it can struggle to break past bulky titans like Lanturn and Regirock. Moreover, Hurricane is a rather unreliable move, and Choice Specs Oricorio-E suffers from the same issue as the Choice Scarf set, as it's easily exploitable. The Calm Mind set is also better, as, over time, it's a way scarier wallbreaker and can check threats better. Lum Berry is an option if a teammate is already using a Z-Move, as it allows Oricorio-E to switch in more recklessly against Toxic users like Lanturn, Quagsire, and Audino. U-turn is an option on either set over Hidden Power Fighting or Taunt to pivot out of an unfavorable matchup, but this means that Oricorio-E can't stallbreak or pressure the opponent as effectively. Defog takes advantage of Oricorio-E's typing, ability to force out threats, and access to Taunt to remove entry hazards against the likes of Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Mudsdale and prevent them from setting them again. However, it struggles to beat Froslass and Regirock, two prominent setters, which can make it unreliable. It also means that Oricorio-E is giving up on Calm Mind or the ability to stallbreak, which makes it significantly easier to deal with.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Altaria and Lanturn can reliably switch into and cripple non-Taunt Oricorio-E with Toxic, putting it on a timer. Cryogonal can reliably deal with any Oricorio-E set thanks to its Ice typing and access to reliable recovery, although sets lacking Frost Breath do struggle to beat Oricorio-E if it has many boosts under its belt.

**Rock-types**: Regirock can reliably switch into anything Oricorio-E can throw at it and take it out with Stone Edge, cripple it with Toxic, or set Stealth Rock, which means that Oricorio-E will take chip damage every time it comes in. While they can't switch in, threats like Lycanroc, Aggron, and Kabutops pose a huge threat to Oricorio-E, although Aggron always has to be cautious of Hidden Power Fighting, as it's slower.

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Faster offensive threats like Simisear and Dodrio can pressure and revenge kill Oricorio-E, although they can't switch in safely and can't deal with a boosted or healthy Oricorio-E.

**Ice-types**: Ice-types like Choice Scarf Aurorus and Rotom-F can deal heavy damage to Oricorio-E or simply take it out. Alolan Sandslash under hail is extremely dangerous for Oricorio-E, although if hail isn't up, it will fold to Hidden Power Fighting while the former two can't deal with an Oricorio-E with many boosts under its belt.

**Chip Damage**: Oricorio-E's average bulk makes it extremely susceptible to Stealth Rock and Toxic from the likes of Gastrodon and even Gurdurr if it catches it on the switch, which can often force it to use Roost a lot more than it'd like to while also giving it a hard time doing its job successfully, although Taunt can negate the latter.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Oricorio-E's good defensive typing, decent bulk, and access to Roost and Dancer make it a solid and consistent answer to dangerous threats such as Gurdurr, Bellossom, and Hitmonchan.
  • It has a good utility movepool, with options such as Taunt allowing it to beat walls like Lanturn and Audino (who try to cripple it with Toxic) and Calm Mind, which allows it to greatly threaten teams lacking a consistent answer. (more emphasis on how taunt + cm allows it to stallbreak)
  • This is further enhanced by its good Speed, which allows it to outspeed common Pokemon, such as Stoutland, Skuntank, Qwilfish, and Kangaskhan.
  • Oricorio-E is also fairly unpredictable, as its sets have different counterplay for the most part, and the Calm Mind set is able to pick its checks thanks to its decent movepool. (list examples of the different counterplay imo)
  • However, it suffers from a only decent bulk and a weakness to Stealth Rocks, which hamper its ability to check what it's supposed to check. This also means that it's often forced to Roost, which can result in a huge momentum (eh, roost isn't bad at all on this mon)
  • Oricorio-E doesn't hit particularly hard unless it has boosted several times, which means that it often finds itself walled by walls like Regirock, Alolan Sandslash, and Lanturn depending on what it's using.
  • (id also make a point on how mons like scarf aurorus, alolan sandslash, cryo, lanturn, regi, eel, etc being very common sucks)
  • In a similar vein, while it's decently fast, it's outsped by dangerous threats like Lycanroc, Simisear, and Jynx, which can all deal with it or force it out. (all these mons use it as setup fodder too when pom is scared out)
  • Lastly, it's prone to status, especially poison, as they greatly hinder its defensive prowess. Overall, Oricorio-E makes for a solid option. (id scrap the last sentence, conclusions aren't really needed)

Moves
========
  • Calm Mind boosts Oricorio-E's Special Attack and Defense by one stage, allowing it to get past walls like Eelektross, Articuno, and Audino while making it harder for threats like Guzzlord and Mesprit to break through it.
  • Roost allows Oricorio-E to consistently check dangerous Pokemon like Gurdurr, Oricorio-G, and Bellossom.
  • Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash, Aurorus, and Aggron harder than anything else, which can otherwise take advantage of Oricorio-E or even switch into it in the case of Alolan Sanslash.
  • Taunt is an option as it allows Oricorio-E to act as a stallbreaker and it prevents Pokemon such as Tangela and Audino from crippling it with Toxic and it gives Oricorio-E more chances to setup. (tangela doesnt run toxic and wouldnt ever stay in vs it) Taunt also makes entry hazards setters and removers like Mesprit, Qwilfish, and Skuntank unable to set their hazards or remove them, which gives it added utility.
  • Finally, Revelation Dance is an option for a weaker but more reliable STAB attack which also allows it to pressure Articuno and Regirock easier.
Set Details
========
  • A Timid nature alongside maximum investment in Speed allows Oricorio-E to outspeed threats like Skuntank, Rotom-F, and Qwilfish and speedtie with opposing Oricorio. (make sure to mention Oricorio-E specifically)
  • Flyinium Z, when used alongside Hurricane, allows Oricorio-E to use Supersonic Skystrike, which allows it to muscle past bulky titans like Audino, Mudsdale, Altaria and even resists like Lanturn. It also allows it to deal with frailer offensive threats, like Rotom-F and Skuntank and ignore Hurricane's poor accuracy.
  • Rocky Helmet is an alternative to Flyinium Z if you already have a Z-Move user on your team to chip down threats like Gurdurr, Primeape, Mesprit, and Kangaskhan, which often use moves like Knock Off, U-turn, and Fake Out.
Usage Tips
========
  • Oricorio-E should be used as switchin to threats like Gurdurr and Leafeon. (leafeon isnt really a relevant threat atm, and id bet that it beats pom pom with double edge)
  • It should take advantage of the Pokemon it checks and forces out to setup with Calm Mind, attack, or heal itself with Roost if it's weakened. (should also use roost vs eel and lanturn on predicted volt switches)
  • It should wear down its checks, such as Regirock and Alolan Sandslash before trying to setup with Calm Mind, as otherwise using Calm Mind can result it a momentum loss. However, if the opponent only has checks unable to switch into Oricorio-E, such as Kabutops, setting up with Calm Mind allows it to pressure the opposing team.
  • Status should be avoided, as they greatly cripple Oricorio-E and hinder its ability to check threats like Shiftry and clean with Calm Mind. (shiftry isnt relevant at all, remove for something else)
  • It should be played differently depending on its last moveslot. Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash, Aurorus, and Aggron, which means that it can pressure them and even setup if the opponent's only check is one of these.
  • If running Taunt, Oricorio-E can use defensive behemoths that could otherwise cripple it or setup alongside it, like Audino, Lanturn, and Clefairy as setup fodder.
Team Options
========
  • Oricorio-E greatly appreciates hazards removal, as it can otherwise be overwhelmed between Stealth Rocks and having to check threats like Gurdurr, which means that it's forced to Roost, which can result in a loss of momentum. Therefore, Rapid Spin and Defog users such as Alolan Sandslash, which checks Ice-types and Skuntank, which chips Regirock are heavily recommended. Lurantis is another good partner, as it can also pressure Regirock for Oricorio-E.
  • Pokemon that appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to check threats like Gurdurr, Hitmonchan, Bellossom, and Oricorio-G work well alongside Oricorio-E. An example of this is Regirock, which can set Stealth Rocks for Oricorio-E. Another one is Mesprit, which can cure Oricorio-E from any status condition with Healing Wish. (regi can also cripple opposing regi with toxic and chip alolan sandslash with drain punch)
  • Oricorio-E appreciates partners such as Substitute + Toxic Kangaskhan and Stoutland, which soften up walls like Regirock, Acid Spray Eelektross, and Lanturn for Oricorio-E. (acid spray is so uncommon that i wouldn't mention it. also mention that stout can pursuit eel/lanturn)
  • Froslass, Aggron, and Qwilfish make for decent partners as they can set entry hazards, which eases Oricorio-E's job. Qwilfish and Froslass also act as secondary Fighting-type checks, which puts less pressure on Oricorio-E.
  • Oricorio-E often finds itself forced out by faster Rock-types like Lycanroc and Choice Scarf Rampardos. (nah remove ramp lol, the best set rn is cb which also sees 0 use) Due to this, it appreciates having a partner able to deal with them, such as Gurdurr, Mudsdale, and Tangela.
  • In a similar vein, it also struggles against faster Ice-types such as Choice Scarf Aurorus and Jynx, which means that Pokemon able to switch into them such as specially defensive Cryogonal and Lanturn or even Pokemon able to check them, like Choice Scarf Dodrio and Primeape, make for good partners.

(mention that this set also can act as surprise factor. be sure to mention some drawbacks as well such as locking yourself into the wrong move can be costly)

  • U-turn is an option on the Calm Mind set as it allows it to pivot out of unfavourable matchup, but this come as the cost of some coverage and an ability to stallbreak.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Altaria and Lanturn can reliably switch into and cripple non-Taunt Oricorio-E with Toxic, putting it on a timer. Cryogonal can reliably deal with any Oricorio-E set thanks to its access to reliable recovery and Ice typing, although it does struggle to beat Oricorio-E if it has many boosts under its belt. (the latter isn't true at all, cryo easily beats pom pom with frost breath and if its not running frost breath, id assume it has toxic which also beats pom)

**Rock-types**: Regirock can reliably switch into anything Oricorio-E can throw at it and take it out with Stone Edge or cripple it with Toxic. (regi can also set up rocks against it, meaning that it'll most likely be chipped when it comes back onto the field) While these can't switch in, threats like Lycanroc, Aggron, and Kabutops pose a huge threat to it, although Aggron has to be cautious of Hidden Power Fighting.

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Faster offensive threats like Simisear and Dodrio can pressure and revenge kill Oricorio-E, although they can't switch in safely and can't deal with a boosted or healthy Oricorio-E.

  • A Timid nature alongside maximum investment in Speed allows Oricorio-E to outspeed threats like Skuntank, Rotom-F, and Qwilfish and speedtie with opposing Oricorio-E.
Usage Tips
========
  • Oricorio-E should be used as switchin to threats like Gurdurr. no shit sherlock. this sentence doesnt need to be here
  • It should take advantage of the Pokemon it checks and forces out to setup with Calm Mind, attack, or heal itself with Roost if it's weakened, which can also be used to take minor damage from Electric-type attacks from the likes of Lanturn and Eelektross.
  • It should wear down its checks, such as Regirock and Alolan Sandslash before trying to setup with Calm Mind, as otherwise using Calm Mind can result it a momentum loss. However, if the opponent only has checks unable to switch into Oricorio-E, such as Kabutops not a great example, rev dance is third slash and it can take a hp fight, setting up with Calm Mind allows it to pressure the opposing team.
  • Status should be avoided, as they greatly cripple Oricorio-E and hinder its ability to check threats like Oricorio-G and clean with Calm Mind.
========
An example of this is Regirock, which can set Stealth Rocks for Oricorio-E, cripple opposing Regirock with Toxic, and chip Alolan Sandslash. Another one is Mesprit, which can cure Oricorio-E from any status condition with Healing Wish.
  • Oricorio-E appreciates partners such as Substitute + Toxic Kangaskhan and Stoutland, which soften up walls like Regirock, Eelektross, and Lanturn for Oricorio-E, the latter can even Pursuit trap the latter two.
  • Froslass, Aggron, and Qwilfish make for decent partners as they can set entry hazards, which eases Oricorio-E's job. Qwilfish and Froslass also act as secondary Fighting-type checks, which puts less pressure on Oricorio-E.
  • Oricorio-E often finds itself forced out by faster Rock-types like Lycanroc and Choice Scarf Kabutops. Due to this, it appreciates having a partner able to deal with them, such as Gurdurr, Mudsdale, and Tangela.
  • In a similar vein, it also struggles against faster Ice-types such as Choice Scarf Aurorus and Jynx, which means that Pokemon able to switch into them such as specially defensive Cryogonal and Lanturn or even Pokemon able to check them, like Choice Scarf Dodrio and Primeape, make for good partners.
info is good but every sentence here is dragged out to be extra long and flowery, i would avoid making this way larger than it needs to be

Moves
========
  • Toxic allows Oricorio-E to cripple its switchins, such as Regirock and Cryogonal. In combination with Taunt, it also allows it to deal with walls like Audino and Heal Bell Lanturn.
  • Roost allows it to check threats like Gurdurr and stallbreak more reliably and consistently. again idt this needs to be here
  • Revelation Dance is an option over Hurricane as it hits Steel- and Rock-types like Alolan Sandslash and Regirock, which notably allows Oricori-E to weaken the latter faster.
Set Details
========
  • A Timid nature alongside maximum investment in Speed allows Oricorio-E to outspeed threats like Skuntank, Rotom-F, and Qwilfish and speedtie with opposing Oricorio.
  • Leftovers grants Oricorio-E with passive recovery, which means it isn't forced to Roost as often.
Usage Tips
========
  • Oricorio-E should be brought in on Pokemon that do not threaten it such as Gurdurr, Quagsire, defensive Mesprit, and Bellossom, although it has to be wary of Toxic. either they do or do not threaten it lol. also "switch into things that cant threaten u" is still way too obvious to be worth writing. id instead make this point about being wary about switching into toxic, except you already have that. so idk what this is dong
  • It should aim to cripple switchins such as Regirock and even beat bulky titans like Toxic Audino and Lanturn thanks to a combination of Toxic, Taunt, and Roost.
  • This set is rather uncommon compared to the Calm Mind one, and their answers differ. Due to this, it's a good idea to not reveal Oricorio-E's set too early in the game this would be the best place to expand this section, talk about how it can be a mid game annoyer that cripples teams that dont expect it since it can force some ugly switches
  • Status should be avoided, especially Toxic, as Oricorio-E struggles to stallbreak or check threats as effectively when crippled. Due to this, it shouldn't recklessly be switched on Pokemon like Altaria and Gastrodon.
Team Options
========
  • Pokemon like Omastar, Simisear, and Mesprit, which appreciate Oricorio-E wearing down and beating defensive behemoths such as Lanturn, Audino, and Type: Null, make for good partners.
  • Lycanroc is another solid partner, as it appreciates Oricorio-E's ability to weaken Regirock and Mudsdale and check Fighting- and Ground-types like Gurdurr and Gastrodon. In exchange, Lycanroc is able to set Stealth Rocks and can pressure threats like Cryogonal, which gives Oricorio-E a hard time.
  • Oricorio-E appreciates hazard removal as it means that it can check what it's supposed to check easier, so Pokemon like Skuntank and Alolan Sandslash work well with it. The former appreciates Oricorio-E wearing down Regirock for it while the latter can check Grass-types like Bellossom, putting less pressure on Oricorio-E. They also both appreciate Oricorio-E dealing with Ground- and Fighting-types like non-Rock Slide Mudsdale and Gurdurr.
  • Entry hazards ease Oricorio-E's job as they help it chip down walls like Mudsdale and Gastrodon faster while also easing its matchup against threats like Regirock, which otherwise wall it with little to no difficulty. Therefore, setters like Qwilfish and Golurk work well alongside it. These also appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to Taunt defog users like Skuntank, and they also act as secondary Fighting-types checks.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Oricorio-E can use a more offensive Calm Mind set thanks to its decent coverage, although this set suffers from competition from Oricorio-G and it doesn't check threats like Gurdurr as well.
  • It can also successfully use a Choice Scarf set due to its good speed tier, which enables it to outspeed dangerous threats like Omastar and Carracosta and access to U-turn, and it has a nice surprise factor. However, locking Oricorio-E onto the wrong move can be costly, as it can taken advantage of by threats like Lycanroc and Lanturn.
  • Choice Specs make Oricorio-E a rather threatening wallbreaker due to its good coverage, Hurricane's base power, Speed, and immediate power, although it can struggle to break past bulky titans like Lanturn and Regirock. Moreover, Hurricane is a rather unreliable move and it suffers from the same issue as the Choice Scarf set as it's easily exploitable. The Calm Mind set is also better as, over time, it's a way scarier breaker and can check threats better.
  • Lum Berry is an option if a teammate is already using a Z-Move as it allows Oricorio-E to switch in more recklessly against Toxic users like Lanturn, Quagsire, and Audino.
  • U-turn is an option on the Calm Mind set as it allows it to pivot out of unfavourable matchup, but this come as the cost of some coverage and an ability to stallbreak.
defog? also i wouldnt run u-turn on calm mind, it'd definitely be on a more support non-cm set, like on stall breaker but instead of taunt

Checks and Counters
===================

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Altaria and Lanturn can reliably switch into and cripple non-Taunt Oricorio-E with Toxic, putting it on a timer. Cryogonal can reliably deal with any Oricorio-E set thanks to its access to reliable recovery and Ice typing, although it does struggle to beat Oricorio-E if it has many boosts under its belt if it isn't running Frost Breath.

**Rock-types**: Regirock can reliably switch into anything Oricorio-E can throw at it and take it out with Stone Edge, cripple it with Toxic, or set Stealth Rock, which means that Oricorio-E will take chip damage everytime it comes in. While these can't switch in, threats like Lycanroc, Aggron, and Kabutops pose a huge threat to it, although Aggron has to be cautious of Hidden Power Fighting.

**Chip Damage**: Oricorio-E's average bulk make it extremely susceptible to Stealth Rocks and Toxic from the likes of Gastrodon, which can often force it to Roost a lot more than it'd like to while also giving it a hard time doing its job successfully, although Taunt can negate the latter.

[OVERVIEW]

Oricorio-E is a premier threat in PU thanks to its good defensive typing, decent bulk, and access to Roost and Dancer, which make it a solid and consistent answer to Pokemon such as Gurdurr, Bellossom, and Hitmonchan (I'd cut out the dancer mention, I get it's for bellossom but that's one example that's in b-. If you wanted to then give it a brief mention in set details, since it can also punish oricorio-g. Add ferroseed and scyther to this list too, taunt completely shuts down the former and is an excellent check to the latter). It has a good utility movepool, with options such as Taunt allowing it to beat walls like Lanturn and Audino who try to cripple it with Toxic and Calm Mind, which allows it to greatly threaten teams lacking a consistent answer and to have an incredible matchup against bulky teams. This is further enhanced by its good Speed, which allows it to outspeed common Pokemon, such as Stoutland, Skuntank, Qwilfish, and Kangaskhan. Oricorio-E is also fairly unpredictable, as its sets have different counterplay for the most part, and the Calm Mind set is able to pick its checks thanks to its decent movepool. If using Hidden Power Fighting, it can beat Alolan Sandslash and pressure Rock-types like Aggron while Taunt allows it to beat walls like Lanturn and Clefairy. However, it suffers from a only decent bulk and a weakness to Stealth Rock, which hamper its ability to check what it's supposed to check. This also means that it's often forced to Roost, which can result in a huge momentum loss. Oricorio-E doesn't hit particularly hard unless it has boosted several times, which means that it often finds itself walled by walls like Regirock, Alolan Sandslash, and Lanturn depending on what it's using, and it doesn't help that these are very common. In a similar vein, while it's decently fast, it's outsped by dangerous and common threats like Lycanroc, Choice Scarf Aurorus, Cryogonal, Simisear, and Jynx, which can all deal with it or force it out, and even setup while it's forced to switch out in the case of Lycanroc, Simisear, and Jynx. Lastly, it's prone to status, especially poison, as they greatly hinder its defensive prowess.

Moves

Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash, Aurorus, and Aggron harder than anything else, which can otherwise take advantage of Oricorio-E or even switch into it in the case of Alolan Sanslash (Sandslash). Taunt is an option as it allows Oricorio-E to act as a stallbreaker and it prevents Pokemon such as Clefairy and Audino from crippling it with Toxic and it gives Oricorio-E more chances to setup. Taunt also makes entry hazards setters and removers like Mudsdale, Qwilfish, and Skuntank unable to set their hazards or remove them, which gives it added utility (add ferroseed to this list). Finally, Revelation Dance is an alternative option for a weaker but more reliable STAB attack which also allows it to pressure Articuno and Regirock easier.

It should aim to cripple switchins such as Regirock and even beat bulky titans like Toxic Audino and Lanturn thanks to a combination of Toxic, Taunt, and Roost. This set is rather uncommon compared to the Calm Mind one, and their answers differ. Due to this, it's a good idea to not reveal Oricorio-E's set too early in the game. It can cripple unexpecting switchins, such as Regirock, Eelektross, and Audino, making it easier for a teammate to break through them. Status should be avoided, especially Toxic, as Oricorio-E struggles to stallbreak or check threats as effectively when crippled. Due to this, it shouldn't recklessly be switched on Pokemon like Altaria, Ferroseed (not rly sure if this will ever have room for toxic. a different example would be safer here imo. if the intended mention was leech seed then it's not permanently crippled and you still beat it one-on-one), and Gastrodon.

Team Options

Pokemon like Omastar, Simisear, and Cinccino (this mon is kinda on watch rn, replace this in the likelihood it gets quickbanned), which appreciate Oricorio-E wearing down and beating defensive behemoths such as Lanturn, Audino, and Regirock, make for good partners. Lycanroc is another solid partner, as it appreciates Oricorio-E's ability to weaken Mudsdale and check Fighting- and Ground-types like Gurdurr and Gastrodon. Oricorio-E can use a more offensive Calm Mind set thanks to its decent coverage, although this set suffers from competition from Oricorio-G (why) and it doesn't check threats like Gurdurr as well. It can also successfully use a Choice Scarf set due to its good speed tier, which enables it to outspeed dangerous threats like Omastar and Carracosta and its access to U-turn, and it has a nice surprise factor. U-turn is an option on the stallbreaker set over Taunt as it allows it to pivot out of unfavourable matchup, but this come at the cost of an ability to stallbreak effectively (yes make the stallbreaker set unable to stallbreak. honestly this is garbage, especially since you have uturn mentioned elsewhere, remove this). Defog is an option as it takes advantage of its ability to force out threats, its typing, and Taunt to remove entry hazards against the likes of Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Mudsdale and prevent them from setting them again. However, it struggles to beat Froslass and Regirock, two prominent setters, which can make it unreliable. It also means that Oricorio-E is giving up on Calm Mind or an ability to stallbreak, which makes it significantly easier to deal with.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature alongside maximum investment in Speed allows Oricorio-E to outspeed threats like Skuntank, Rotom-F, and Qwilfish and Speed(space)tie with opposing Oricorio-E. Dancer, albeit situational, allows Oricorio-E to punish moves such as Bellossom's Quiver Dance and Oricorio-G's Revelation Dance. Flyinium Z, when used alongside Hurricane, allows Oricorio-E to use Supersonic Skystrike, which allows it to muscle past bulky titans like Audino, Mudsdale, Altaria, (AC) and even resists Pokemon that resist it like Lanturn. It also allows it to deal with frailer offensive threats, like Rotom-F and Skuntank, (AC) and ignore Hurricane's poor accuracy. Rocky Helmet is an alternative to Flyinium Z if you already have a Z-Move user on your team to chip down threats like Gurdurr, Primeape, Scyther, and Kangaskhan, which often use moves like Knock Off, U-turn, and Fake Out.

Usage Tips
========

Oricorio-E should take advantage of the Pokemon it checks and forces out to setup set up with Calm Mind, attack, or heal itself with Roost if it's weakened, which can also be used to take minor reduce damage taken from Electric-type attacks from the likes of Lanturn and Eelektross. In order to prevent a momentum loss, it should wear down its checks, such as Regirock and Alolan Sandslash before trying to setup set up with Calm Mind, as otherwise using Calm Mind can result in a momentum loss, although the latter struggles against Hidden Power Fighting Oricorio-E variants. However, if the opponent only has checks unable to switch into Oricorio-E, such as Aggron, setting up with Calm Mind allows it to pressure the opposing team easier more easily. It's important to keep Oricorio-E away from status ailments, as they greatly cripple Oricorio-E and hinder its ability to check threats like Oricorio-G and clean with Calm Mind. It Oricorio-E should be played differently depending on its last moveslot. Hidden Power Fighting hits Alolan Sandslash, Aurorus, and Aggron, which means that it can pressure them and even setup set up if the opponent's they're the opponent's only check is one of these. However, if running Taunt, Oricorio-E can use defensive behemoths that could otherwise cripple it or setup set up alongside it (RC) like Altaria, Lanturn, and Clefairy as setup fodder.

Team Options
========

Oricorio-E greatly appreciates hazards entry hazard removal, as it can otherwise be overwhelmed by threats like Gurdurr or be forced to use Roost and lose momentum if Stealth Rock are is present. This means that it's forced to Roost, which can result in a loss of momentum. Therefore, Rapid Spin and Defog users such as Alolan Sandslash, which checks Ice-types, (AC) and Skuntank, which chips Regirock, (AC) are heavily recommended. Lurantis is another good partner, as it can also pressure Regirock for Oricorio-E. Pokemon that appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to check threats like Gurdurr, Hitmonchan, Bellossom, and Oricorio-G work well alongside Oricorio-E it. An example of this is Regirock, which can set Stealth Rock for Oricorio-E, cripple opposing Regirock with Toxic, and chip Alolan Sandslash. Oricorio-E also appreciates partners such as Substitute + Toxic Kangaskhan and Stoutland, which soften up walls like Regirock, Eelektross, and Lanturn for Oricorio-E; (SC) the latter Stoutland can even Pursuit trap the latter two. Entry hazard setters like Froslass, Aggron, Ferroseed, and Qwilfish make for decent partners as they can set entry hazards, which eases to ease Oricorio-E's job; (SC) Qwilfish and Froslass also act as secondary Fighting-type checks, which puts less reduces pressure on Oricorio-E.

Moves
========

Toxic allows Oricorio-E to cripple its switchins switch-ins, such as Regirock and Cryogonal. In combination with Taunt, it also allows it to deal with walls like Audino and Heal Bell Lanturn. Revelation Dance is an option over Hurricane, (AC) as it hits Steel- and Rock-types like Alolan Sandslash and Regirock, which notably allows Oricorio-E to weakening the latter faster.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature alongside maximum investment in Speed allows Oricorio-E to outspeed threats like Skuntank, Rotom-F, and Qwilfish and speedtie Speed tie with opposing Oricorio formes. Leftovers grants Oricorio-E with passive recovery, which means it isn't forced to Roost as often.

Usage Tips
========

It Oricorio-E should aim to cripple switchins switch-ins such as Regirock and even beat bulky titans like Toxic Audino and Lanturn thanks to a combination of Toxic, Taunt, and Roost. This set is rather uncommon compared to the Calm Mind one boosting ones, (don't directly reference it) and their answers differ. Due to this, it's a good idea to not reveal Oricorio-E's set too early in the game. It can cripple unexpecting switchins switch-ins, such as Regirock, Eelektross, and Audino, making it easier for a teammate to break through them. Status from Pokemon like Altaria, Audino, and Gastrodon should be avoided, especially Toxic, as Oricorio-E struggles to stallbreak or check threats as effectively when crippled. Due to this, it shouldn't recklessly be switched on Pokemon like Altaria, Audino, and Gastrodon.

Team Options
========

Pokemon like Omastar, Simisear, and Dodrio, which appreciate Oricorio-E wearing down and beating defensive behemoths such as Lanturn, Audino, and Regirock, make for good partners. Oricorio-E appreciates Entry hazard removal as it means that it can lets Oricorio-E check what it's supposed to check easier more easily, so Pokemon like Skuntank and Alolan Sandslash work well with it. The former appreciates Oricorio-E wearing down Regirock for it, (AC) and they both can check Grass-types like Bellossom, putting less taking pressure on off Oricorio-E. They also both appreciate Oricorio-E dealing with Ground- and Fighting-types like non-Rock Slide Mudsdale and Gurdurr. Entry hazards ease Oricorio-E's job, (AC) as they help it chip down walls like Mudsdale and Gastrodon faster while also easing its matchup against threats like Regirock, which otherwise wall walls it with little to no difficulty. Therefore, setters like Qwilfish and Golurk work well alongside it. These also appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to Taunt Defog users like Skuntank, and they also act as secondary Fighting-type checks.

Other Options
=============

Oricorio-E can use a more offensive Calm Mind set thanks to its decent coverage, although this set suffers from competition from Oricorio-G due to its better inferior offensive typing and it doesn't inability to check threats like Gurdurr as well. It can also successfully use a Choice Scarf set due to its good speed tier, which enables it ability to outspeed dangerous threats like Omastar and Carracosta and its access to U-turn, and it has a nice surprise factor. However, locking Oricorio-E into the wrong move can be costly, as it can be taken advantage of by Pokemon like Lycanroc and Ferroseed. Choice Specs make Oricorio-E a rather threatening wallbreaker due to its good coverage, Hurricane's Base Power, and its Speed (RC) and immediate power, although it can struggle to break past bulky titans like Lanturn and Regirock. Moreover, Hurricane is a rather unreliable move, (AC) and it Choice Specs Oricorio-E suffers from the same issue as the Choice Scarf set, (AC) as it's easily exploitable. The Calm Mind set is also better, (AC) as, over time, it's a way scarier wallbreaker and can check threats better. Lum Berry is an option if a teammate is already using a Z-Move, (AC) as it allows Oricorio-E to switch in more recklessly against Toxic users like Lanturn, Quagsire, and Audino. U-turn is an option on either sets set over Hidden Power Fighting or Taunt as it allows it to pivot out of unfavourable an unfavorable matchup, but this means that Oricorio-E can't stallbreak or pressure the opponent. Defog is an option as it takes advantage of its Oricorio-E's ability to force out threats, its typing, and access to Taunt to remove entry hazards against the likes of Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Mudsdale and prevent them from setting them again. However, it struggles to beat Froslass and Regirock, two prominent setters, which can make it unreliable. It also means that Oricorio-E is giving up on Calm Mind or an the ability to stallbreak, which makes it significantly easier to deal with.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Altaria and Lanturn can reliably switch into and cripple non-Taunt Oricorio-E with Toxic, putting it on a timer. Cryogonal can reliably deal with any Oricorio-E set thanks to its access to reliable recovery and Ice typing, although it does sets lacking Frost Breath do struggle to beat Oricorio-E if it has many boosts under its belt if it isn't running Frost Breath.

**Rock-types**: Regirock can reliably switch into anything Oricorio-E can throw at it and take it out with Stone Edge, cripple it with Toxic, or set Stealth Rock, which means that Oricorio-E will take chip damage everytime it comes in. While these can't switch in, threats like Lycanroc, Aggron, and Kabutops pose a huge threat to it Oricorio-E, although Aggron always has to be cautious of Hidden Power Fighting, (AC) as it's slower.

**Chip Damage**: Oricorio-E's average bulk make it extremely susceptible to Stealth Rocks Rock and Toxic from the likes of Gastrodon, and even Gurdurr if it catches it on the switch, which can often force it to Roost a lot more than it'd like to while also giving it a hard time doing its job successfully, although Taunt can negate the latter.

[OVERVIEW]

Oricorio-E is a premier threat in PU thanks to its good defensive typing, decent bulk, and access to Roost, which make it a solid and consistent answer to Pokemon such as Gurdurr, Scyther, Ferroseed, and Hitmonchan. It has a good utility movepool, with options such as Taunt to beat walls like Lanturn and Audino that try to cripple it with Toxic and Calm Mind to greatly threaten teams lacking a consistent answer and to have an incredible matchup against bulky teams.

Moves
========

(un-strike-through) Finally, Revelation Dance is an alternative option for a weaker but more reliable STAB attack that also allows Oricorio-E to pressure Articuno and Regirock more easily.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature alongside maximum investment in Speed investment allows Oricorio-E to outspeed threats like Skuntank, Rotom-F, and Qwilfish and Speed tie with opposing Oricorio-E. It also allows it Oricorio-E to deal with frailer offensive threats, like Rotom-F and Skuntank, and ignore Hurricane's poor accuracy. Rocky Helmet is an alternative to Flyinium Z if you already have a Z-Move user on your team to chip down threats like Gurdurr, Primeape, Scyther, and Kangaskhan, which often use moves like Knock Off, U-turn, and Fake Out.

Usage Tips
========

Oricorio-E should take advantage of the Pokemon it checks and forces out to set up with Calm Mind, attack, or heal itself with Roost if it's weakened, which can also be used to reduce damage taken from Electric-type attacks from the likes of Lanturn and Eelektross. In order to prevent a momentum loss, it should wear down its checks,(RC) such as Regirock and Alolan Sandslash before trying to set up with Calm Mind, although the latter struggles against Hidden Power Fighting variants. However, if running Taunt, Oricorio-E can use defensive behemoths that could otherwise cripple it or set up alongside it ike like Altaria, Lanturn, and Clefairy as setup fodder.

Team Options
========

Oricorio-E greatly appreciates entry hazard removal, as it can be overwhelmed by threats like Gurdurr or be forced to use Roost and lose momentum if Stealth Rock is present.
