Ghetsis is obviously the champion. :) (Hey, their's been a lot of surprises in BW2, I wouldn't be surprised if they have one more surprise for us)

Seriously though, I'm pretty sure Alder will be the champion, or the Draco Meteor tutor (the person who wasn't the leader in their respective games. The old leader would be the new Draco Meteor tutor if this happened). If anything, N (or Alder if the Dragon Trainer becomes leader) will become the Steven of this game.

Not really. Half of the champions so far specialize in a single type of pokemon.
Lance was a flying-type specialist, Steven steel and Wallace water. Alder is also seen as a bug-type specialist by many.
Though I don't think Marshal is going to be the champion either.
Dunno why you called Lance a Flying type specialist when I'm sure you know that he is a Dragon type specialist. Yeah his earlier teams consisted of Flying types as the majority, but we all know why.

Dragonite is part flying aeoradactyl is part flying i would say lance is a flying spiecalist. even then there are four pure fighting types and one daul type if i am not mistaken in unova. So i dont think marshal will be the champ

No he's a dragon specialist. He never says anything about be a flying one. Plus since when were garchomp and dragonair flying types

It may be true that most of Lance's team in some games were Flying types, but his whole motif alludes to Dragon, and Dragon/Flying was a very common typing for fully evolved Dragon pokemon.

Hence, he's a Dragon specialist.

The entire myth on which Gyarados is based on is all about not being a dragon...

Aerodactyl is not based on a dragon either.

Officially Lance is described as a dragon specialist, but in practice he's a flying specialist. His entire team in GSC is made of flying-types...

He is actually a Dragon Specialist - In GSC the only fully evolved dragon type other than Kingdra was Dragonite. He used pokemon that looked like Dragons. If he was a Flying type specialist, he would be using Pidgeot and Fearow and such. Basically, the reason he didnt use more Dragon types was because there werent any but he had pokemon that looked like Dragons(not birds like Pidgeot).

Update: An image from the inside of the guidebook shows a modified type-effectiveness chart in B2W2. According to the chart provided by the guidebook, Ghost-type Pokémon are no longer resistant to Bug-type moves. Note that this could simply be an error in the guidebook itself.
...meep.

So Sableye is now useless.

It looses a large chunk of its usefulness by being weak to something now.

Plus, if you don't already know, its defenses are crap.
There are much worse things for it to be weak to even if it wasn't a typo. The most common Bug-type move is U-Turn and Sableye shouldn't switch into that anyway. U-Turn users aren't going to be switching into Sableye, either. Infernape is an exception, and Sableye has inherent problems with it anyway. If there's a ghost we should be talking about it's Jellicent. Resisting Bug helps a lot against Scizor and it can act as a last-chance check against Volcarona with Toxic. With Bug Buzz and U-Turn dealing neutral damage it no longer has an advantage over bulky waters against Scizor and Volcarona.

Also, the Lance discussion is rather pointless. Lance specifically raises Pokemon that are dragon-like, not necessarily Pokemon that are Dragon-type. He doesn't have a type specialization; he has a design specialization.

Don't worry, sableye should be fine. Its just a typo. If it wasn't, version compatability would be wrecked.
Hypnosis would like a word with you. Nothing would be wrecked. Which ever game is the host game they would use its type chart just like how hypnosis was used in battles between platinum and dp. We do not know if it's a typo or not yet.

Only Hypnosis's accuracy was changed (10 points, whoop-de-doo); its core mechanic (inducing sleep) wasn't. Therefore, not a big deal.

According to this guide, one of the core Pokémon game mechanics (type interaction) will change; such a change would intrinsically remove battling compatibility between BW1 and BW2. Type interaction is a heck of a lot more complex than accuracy, my friend.

Also, there's a 99.99% chance that the guide's type chart is erroneous. >.>

According to outside sources the games have been leaked.
If that's true we should be able to obtain the answers we're looking for in the next 24 hours.

Agreeing with Lucario Guy; the Hypnosis change was pretty simple and GF has tried to avoid changing things between games in general. They kept the goddamn acid rain glitch in the game, a glitch that is really not that hard to activate considering the popularity of Tyranitar. Likewise, they banned the use of Rotom, Shaymin, and Giratina formes over wifi to preserve compatibility. They're not going to change the type chart before starting a new gen.

We already know it's compatible with other generations due to poketransfer, so unless they skip compatibility with bw for no reason it's more then likely an error.

Calling bs on this without actual, reliable sources. To use a variation of a saying "Source or it isn't real". It may or may not be leaked but it's unlikely it will. It would probably take at least another day or two to be more realistic.

Doubt it, fake leaks always crop up. I think this exact thing happened with HGSS, even

By the end of tomorrow, maybe. Now? Nah

The baffling thing about banning the form(e)s?
So far as I know they still worked just fine. This went for both local link battles and cheating Skymin and friends into wi-fi battles.

Read more closely and you'll see that I said ~battling~ compatibility.

Also, concerning BW2 game leaks, gonna echo Dark Arceus and say, "Sources or it isn't real."
