Pokes R Us
Introduction:
Hello smogonites, Im TheMexican, for the ones who didnt know me, hai!. Im not a really good player, but I dont suck either.
Its been a while since I havent had ladder and now that I did I couldn't help facing generic sand and rain stall teams which really annoys me, so I tried to do something different, a non-weather, non-trick room team that covered most of the threats posible, also, when building this team, I based myself on the Usage stats from december triying to counter tthe most used OU pokemon from the current metagame. Lastly I kinda concentrated on not repeating the same item, I know it doesnt matter repeating it but, its a plus :3. Anyway, enjoy!

ThunderBird
Before you start laughing at me let me explain you why am I using zapdos. With its nice special attack, good speed, decent defensive stats and good typing make it one of the best scizor counter around and does a good job against tain teams most of the times. Also, it does good against some rain teams abusing ferrothorn, tentacruel, politoed and its friends. It is usually one of the pokes I would send first and try to make holes to the opponent's team so Dragonite can finish the job.

Timid
Timid
- ~Thunderbolt. Main stab attack hits very well things that doesnt resist, coming from a 142.5 Base (corresct me if im wrong :3) does a good job on rain teams and hits decently rotom-w which is as well one of the most used pokemons (The third one to be more precise). This attack also keeps skarmory in check, and lols at non boosted/stone edge gyarados
- ~Hidden power ice. Having Bolbeam coverage is pretty cool, also, it does the job against dragonite and landorus which can be threatning to my team. Also hitting those pesky gliscors and brelooms in rain.
- ~Heat wave. This only says one thing: OHAI SCIZOR!, the main reason of this set, and also doing good against ferrothorns (number 5th on the statics). I just dont like when it misses.
- ~Roost. I need the mexican bird alive so roost can be very useful sometimes, increasing longetivity to come and go more often.
BarbieDoll
Very important member on my team. This cute little monster keeps paralyzing the opponent with thunderwave and luring scizor, and tyranitars and KOing them with Hidden Power Fire and Leaf Storm respectively. It mostly supports this team defensivly, since thunderwave-ing terrakion or latios is very helpful. And it does well against growing breloom and rotom-w thanks to its typing. Not only that but it also recieves all the status threatning my physical sweepers since Natural Cure will cure it anyway. Lastly, for obvious reasons it is another check to rain teams (Politoed was the most used lead on December).

Modest
Modest
- ~ThunderWave. A very helpful status to this team slowing down fast threats such las latios, terrakion, heatran and even volcarona (since it always quiver dances the first turn).
- ~Leaf Storm. A powerfull but tricky to use strong stab. It has the opportunity to OHKO tyranitar after some previous damage doing 71.3% - 83.7% to the specially defensive variant.
- ~Hidden Power Fire. Scizor comes in, scizor comes out. Celebi is my other way on beating ferrothotn, scizor and breloom thanks to this great attack. If I happen to see a heatran on the teampreview I'll have to be careful when launching hidden powers. Lastly, I dont like to depend on it on rain.
- ~Recover. Same as zapdos, this supporting barbie doll needs to be alive as much as posible to support my entire team, so I abuse recover much more than I do with roost on zapdos.
Buzz Lightyear
The Star of the team and the second most used of the OU metagame for a good reason. Multiscale.
Personally I've loved this cute/badass flying dragon since the very first red version and now that it got more than it ever have had dreamed its just an awesome sweeper in the metagame, after 2 dragon dances, and keeping priority users out it is pretty much good game.. Im just using the same old offensive dragon dance set. I know its very repetitive, but it actually works very well.

- ~Dragon Dance. The reason to use dragonite is either its awesome attack, or the fact it can set up on almost everything thanks, again, to multiscale. Boosting its low speed is escential to this flying barney and that attack hits like a truck even at +1.
- ~Dragon Claw. I know that outrage might seem like a better option over dragon claw, however I really want to keep lum berry intact and some of the times outrage is just overkill. Another adventage is that, for example you do outrage to ko things like politoed and, if you recieved some damage, being locked on OUtrage just would make an easy switch in to stuff like ferrothorn or scizor.
- ~Fire Punch. Steel types trying to wall me? Another check to scizor and ferrothorn and sometimes against jirachi. It is just a coverage move.
- ~ExtremeSpeed. If I have enough boosts this will help me quite alot against Ice Shards/Other ExtremeSpeed/Sucker Punch users. Also finishes the job with weakned foes. I've been thinking about going earthquake here instead of extremespeed so I can hit jirachi much harder than fire punch would. It would also be nice against other tentacruels and heatrans.
Squidward
Having zapdos, dragonite and a sash user means I needed a rapid spinner alot, also I wanted one that could last long enough to rapid spin more than one time. Also, as soon as it comes to the field, it absorbs toxic spikes which comes handly against annoying phazing teams. Another good thing is that he does well against Infernape and non-earthquake terrakion (Number 8 on the most used OU pokemons).
Once again it does good on rain thanks to rain dish and black sludge it recovers quite a bit turning some 2hkos to 3hkos. Also I put some more EVs into speed to outspeed 72 EVs in speed gliscor

Bold
Bold
- ~Scald. One of its main attaks. Also nothing likes to be burned unless its named is celebi/Chansey/Blissey. It is mostly only used against infernape, terrakion, tyranitar or catching a jirachi/rotom-w on the switch. There is nothing much to add here since that is the only thing that it does.
- ~Ice Beam. Ice hits dragons and grass for obvious reasons. Which ones? Well, dragonite, landorus, salamence and latios on the switch are hit decently by this beam. Also it can hit things like breloom and gliscor well.
- ~Toxic. Before you ask why am not using toxic spikes and toxic Instead let me tell you that only 17/50 pokemons in OU are affected by toxic spikes conkeldurr actuallylikes getting itself hit by status, and between levitating, flying, poison types, Natural Cure users, and Magic Guard users toxic spikes is rather unhelpful unless you are running weather and took the opponents poison types and rapid spinner, which starmie can be annoying, so I went for toxic, many times I've tried to rapid spin ijust see a dusclops/jellycent/sableye so, with a little prediction they get poisoned, I get happy. It is also good to get volcarona poisoned if I cant get celeto paralyze it.
- ~Rapid Spin. The main reason ofusing tentacruel is rapid spin. I really need to spin hazards away. Mostly stealth rocks since neither zapdos and dragonite likes it.
Optimus Prime
Old good choice band scizor, one of the best answers to sand once rotom-w, scarmory or gliscor are gone. Thanks god they usually arent on the same team. Also its a good answer to Latios and one of the best scouters in the game scizor keeps in check Dragonite, terrakion, latios, the thruth is that not alot of things want to get an Iron Bullet to the knee unlessit resists it. I just have to play carefully if I see a magnezone on the team preview.

- ~Bullet Punch. Stab, +1 priority + Technician = gg. Scizor hits awesomly hard with his great stab and one of the main reasons to use scizor is this great attack. It is great how half of the metagame can be OHKO or 2HKO by this thing.
- ~U-Turn. Another awesome stab, great for scouting the opponent's team or to score some direct KOs on foes like Reuniclus or non hp fire alakazam if im at full health.
- ~Quick attack. Thanks to JoeyBoy I've changed Pursuit for Quick attack. Since there arent many times I use pursuit beacuse expert belt latios has gained usage and Hidden Power Fire is already in every special attacker, quick attack is just a better option. It has already saved me against volcarona once after recieving SR damage. Thanks JoeyBoy!
- ~SuperPower. I dont really use this thing unless I predict a rotom-w, heatran, or magnezone switching in however, switching to something else is probably more safe than this. After super power the defence and attack drop the opponent might bring something to set up and probably give me some trouble

- ~Stealth Rock. Pretty cimple actually, If I happen to see a volcarona on the opponents team preview, this is a MUST. It is also helpful against other dragonites, volt-turn teams, and sun.
- ~Eartquake. Strong stab. One of the first things I would do if im at full health, this hits almost everything that doesnt resist it like a truck
- ~Ice Shard. Simple, I see something weak to it? SPAM PRIORITY! also works with endeavour, at 1 hp just do ice shard and call it for a day. Also having aanother check to Landorus is important. lastly it is another way to hit celebi or breloom but none are OHKOd by it.
- ~Endeavour. The Reason of this set, when at 1 hp thanks to focus sash and endeavour so any of my three priority users can finish the foe. It is kinda hard to use since it requieres alitte prediction and, if I use it later in the game, to keep hazards away.
