Uniquely among setup sweepers, Shell Smash + Stored Power gives Polteageist the power to KO most of the tier, the Speed to outspeed most of it, and a tool to plow through Unaware walls, all in one turn. Its Ghost typing also blocks common priority attacks like Dragonite's Extreme Speed and Breloom's Mach Punch, which allows it to sweep even when Psychic Terrain is not active. Though it is resisted by Steel-types, a Psychic Terrain-boosted Stored Power can still heavily damage even Corviknight, 2HKOing physically defensive variants after just one Shell Smash. Shadow Ball is a consistent STAB move with excellent neutral coverage to hit most Steel- and Psychic-types hard, OHKOing Gholdengo and Hatterene. Tera Blast with Tera Fighting fills a gap in Polteageist's coverage, eliminating Dark-types like Roaring Moon, Kingambit while Psychic Terrain is active, and Hydreigon. Tera Fighting can also let it survive their Dark-type attacks. Weak Armor alongside a Focus Sash allows Polteageist to punish a stray physical attack, further boosting its Speed—it can outspeed +1 foes like Roaring Moon, Iron Valiant, and Iron Moth—and Stored Power's damage. Focus Sash also lets Polteageist set up against threats that would otherwise outpace it or survive an attack and OHKO it, such as Kingambit, Choice Specs Dragapult, and offensive Great Tusk. A Timid nature is run to outpace +1 Walking Wake after a single Shell Smash.

Polteageist is a staple on Psychic Terrain offense teams. Indeedee's Psychic Terrain protects Polteageist against priority attacks from Kingambit, Baxcalibur, Azumarill, and Floatzel while powering up its Stored Power, though Polteageist requires both a Shell Smash and a Weak Armor boost to outpace Swift Swim Floatzel. Indeedee can also let Polteageist set up with Encore or give it a second chance to sweep with Healing Wish, although if Polteageist has already consumed its Focus Sash, it will struggle to set up as reliably a second time. Armarouge is an excellent teammate and another staple on Psychic Terrain teams, as it can eliminate Steel-types like Kingambit with Armor Cannon to enable Polteageist's late-game sweep and it can use Endure to activate Weak Armor multiple times against Dragon Darts Dragapult, which Polteageist cannot reliably set up against. In return, Polteageist can greatly weaken or outright eliminate Unaware walls, set up against specially offensive Dragapult if its Focus Sash is intact, and can safely utilize Tera Fighting to eliminate Roaring Moon and wear down Ting-Lu, which allows Armarouge to sweep. Entry hazard removal is extremely important to maintain Focus Sash's protection. Eject Pack Great Tusk provides both Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock support, can safely get Polteageist in after using a strong Headlong Rush or Close Combat, and can also switch into and threaten Dark-types for Polteageist. Magic Bounce Hatterene deters entry hazards, spreads paralysis with Nuzzle, and can provide Healing Wish support. Also, Eject Button lets it safely pivot Polteageist in, even against U-Turns from Corviknight, Cinderace, or Meowscarada, giving it much easier setup opportunities. Setup sweepers like Tera Psychic Volcarona, Dragon Dance Dragapult, and Dragon Dance Baxcalibur appreciate Polteageist breaking past Unaware walls with Stored Power. Volcarona further enjoys it wearing down or eliminating Clodsire and Assault Vest Toxapex, and Dragapult and Baxcalibur love it wearing down Steel-types. In return, Volcarona can outright eliminate Steel-types like Corviknight while Dragapult and Baxcalibur can use their multi-hit attacks to threaten opposing Psychic Terrain teams.

This, too, is now ready for QC! I expect I'll need to make quite a few changes here and there, but this was much easier to condense than Armarouge since this boiled down to "Shell Smash lets it set up, Stored Power hits insanely hard, Shadow Ball hits other stuff very hard, and Fairy/Fighting Tera Blast hits a specific subsection of Dark-types Stored Power and Shadow Ball can't hit" while CM vs. Destiny Bond was a lot more nuanced than that.

Polteageist differentiates itself from other Ghost-types and setup sweepers with its access to the unique combination of Shell Smash and Stored Power, which gives it both staggering power after just a single turn of setup and a way to brute-force past Unaware walls that typically handle most setup sweepers. Shell Smash doubles Polteageist's offenses, allowing it to outpace and KO the majority of the tier after one turn of setup and dramatically boosting Stored Power's damage. Stored Power's base power increases for every stat boost Polteageist accrues and gets powered up even further by Psychic Terrain, which allows it to largely bypass Unaware from Clodsire and specially defensive Skeledirge. Though it is resisted by opposing Steel-types, a Psychic Terrain-boosted Stored Power can still cause major damage against even Corviknight, 2HKOing it after just one Shell Smash and You do not 2HKO spdef corv at +2 +2 +2 under terrain effortlessly OHKOing it after two. Shadow Ball is a strong, consistent STAB move with excellent neutral coverage to hit most Steel-types hard while OHKOing Gholdengo. Hatterene is also an important target Tera Blast rounds out Polteageist's coverage by eliminating opposing Dark-types, although the choice between Tera Fairy to deal with Roaring Moon while KOing most other Dragon-types and Tera Fighting to eliminate Kingambit, which can otherwise survive a hit and KO Polteageist, can be a difficult one. as Tera Fighting allows it to target Roaring Moon, Kingambit, and Hydreigon. Weak Armor alongside a Focus Sash allows Polteageist to punish a stray physical attack, which further increases its Speed to the point of being able to outpace even relevant threats such as Swift Swim Floatzel, +1 Roaring Moon, +1 Iron Valiant and +1 Iron Moth while boosting Stored Power's damage output even further. A Timid nature is run to let Polteageist outpace +1 Walking Wake after a single Shell Smash.

Just wanted to give my 2 cents on Tera Fairy down here. I really only saw it during the Chi-Yu meta as it was able to deal with SpDef Roaring Moon that could easily live Tera Fighting Blast. With that gone, I really don't see a reason why Tera Fairy would be used over Fighting as it targets Kingambit / Tera Steel Hydrei, two very important things in the meta that Polteageist should be able to kill.
The only time Tera Fairy is useful is in a 1v1 vs Roaring Moon where it can either Taunt or Acrobatics on your Shell Smash or Tera Blast, and Tera Fairy lets you avoid this 50/50, but this instance is much less likely than being able to OHKO Kingambit or Hydreigon, so I believe it should always run Tera Fighting.

Polteageist is a staple on Psychic Terrain teams, which stack numerous setup sweepers to overwhelm opposing teams while they are protected from opposing priority attacks. As such, Indeedee is a mandatory teammate; its Psychic Surge protects Polteageist against priority attacks from Kingambit, Meowscarada, Baxcalibur and Azumarill, while powering up its Stored Power to the point of being able to 2HKO Corviknight after one Shell Smash. Indeedee can also open up a setup opportunity for Polteageist with Encore or give it a second chance to sweep with Healing Wish. Armarouge is an excellent teammate and another staple on Psychic Terrain teams, as it can eliminate opposing Steel-types like Kingambit with Armor Cannon to enable Polteageist's late-game sweep and can use Endure to activate Weak Armor multiple times against Dragon Darts Dragapult, which Polteageist cannot reliably set up against. In return, Polteageist can greatly weaken or outright eliminate Unaware walls, sets up against specially-offensive Dragapult variants if its Focus Sash is intact, and can safely run Tera Fairy Fighting to eliminate Roaring Moon and wear down Ting-Lu, which allows Armarouge to sweep. Hazard control is extremely important for Psychic Terrain teams, as both Polteageist and Armarouge greatly prefer keeping their Focus Sashes available until they are ready to begin sweeping. Lead Toedscruel provides Rapid Spin support to remove opposing entry hazards, reliably sets up Spikes even against opposing Magic Bounce Hatterene thanks to Mycelium Might, and can eliminate opposing Gholdengo with Earth Power to prevent spinblocking attempts. Lead Toedscruel is not very good on Psychic Terrain teams, generally you will see Great Tusk as the rocker / spinner as it can also run Eject Pack to get Polteageist in. Magic Bounce Hatterene naturally deters entry hazards, spreads Paralysis with Nuzzle, can give Polteageist another chance to sweep with Healing Wish support, and can safely pivot Polteageist in against something it threatens thanks to Eject Button, giving it much easier setup opportunities. Setup sweepers like Volcarona, Dragon Dance Dragapult, and Dragon Dance Baxcalibur appreciate both Psychic Terrain's ability to block priority and Polteageist's ability to break past Unaware walls with Stored Power. Volcarona can outright eliminate Corviknight, no longer fears Kingambit's Sucker Punch thanks to Psychic Terrain support, and is no longer forced to run specific Tera types to deal with Clodsire or Toxapex, while Dragapult and Baxcalibur can use their multi-hit attacks to threaten opposing Psychic Terrain teams and appreciate Polteageist's ability to at least wear down opposing Steel-types for them.

Implemented all of these suggestions! A few notes:
  • I was under the impression that Corviknight was still predominantly gravitating towards PhysDef spreads, hence why I mentioned it. Edited the first mention of Corviknight to specifically state that it 2HKOs PhysDef variants (you're correct in that SpDef dodges the 2HKO) and removed the second mention of it, in the second paragraph.
  • I don't disagree with the Tera Fighting>>>Tera Fairy mention since hitting Kingambit is really, really important right now and a candidate for the best mon in the tier is a more relevant target than anything else. I wanted to stick with the Smogon page's set to start with since that one mentions Fairy/Fighting (we're usually told to just go off that, although when I wrote Offensive Volc I had to completely deviate from the Smogon page's set), but you're absolutely correct in that Fighting is mostly better right now so I'll remove mention of Fairy for now. I'd just like to put a pin in Tera Fairy in the event that it's still deemed relevant enough to put back on here.
  • Agreed with mentioning Eject Pack Tusk, but is the team that made PsySpam so popular recently not Indeedee/Armarouge/Polteageist/Toedscruel/Hatt/another sweeper? I'll scrap mention of Toedscruel since I think Eject Pack Tusk does that job extremely well anway (and might also remove it in favor of Eject Pack Tusk in Armarouge's analysis), but I was under the impression that Toedscruel was still good on these squads now.

Polteageist differentiates itself from other Ghost-types and (not really relevant cause realistically you dont use it because it's a ghost) setup sweepers with its access to the unique combination of Shell Smash and Stored Power, which gives it both staggering power and Speed after just a single turn of setup and a way to brute-force past Unaware walls (put the clod & spdef dirge mention here) that typically handle most setup sweepers, (ac) especially under Psychic Terrain. (mention how ur typing makes u immune to revenge-killing priority like dnite's espeed and loom's mach [makes u not overreliant on terrain as much]) Shell Smash doubles Polteageist's offenses, allowing it to outpace and KO the majority of the tier after one turn of setup and dramatically boosting Stored Power's damage. Stored Power's base power increases for every stat boost Polteageist accrues and gets powered up even further by Psychic Terrain, which allows it to largely bypass Unaware from Clodsire and specially defensive Skeledirge. (merged all of this with first sentence, since shell smash + stored power is the main focus of what makes teapot good, and to avoid wordiness as well) Though it is resisted by opposing Steel-types, a Psychic Terrain-boosted Stored Power can still cause major damage against even Corviknight, 2HKOing physically defensive variants after just one Shell Smash and effortlessly OHKOing them after two. (implied with the fact that u 2hko it with +2+2+2 stored power) Shadow Ball is a strong, consistent STAB move with excellent neutral coverage to hit most Steel-types hard while OHKOing Gholdengo and Hatterene. Tera Blast rounds out Polteageist's coverage by eliminating opposing Dark-types, as Tera Fighting allows it to eliminate Dark-types such as Roaring Moon, Kingambit with the help of Focus Sash (u just need terrain to stop its sucker, the sash only helps in setting up) while Psychic Terrain is active, and Hydreigon. (also mention how tera fighting lets u take on their dark type attacks if ur sash is no longer intact, lets u set up on them in a pinch) Weak Armor alongside a Focus Sash allows Polteageist to punish a stray physical attack (also mention how sash lets u safely use smash in the face of threats like abc. something like 'sash allows teapot to set up smash freely in the face of foes like abc, and in conjunction with weak armor, can punish stray phys attack etcetc'), which further increases its Speed to the point of being able to outpace +1 foes like +1 Roaring Moon, +1 Iron Valiant, and +1 Iron Moth while boosting Stored Power's damage output even further. A Timid nature is run to let Polteageist outpace +1 Walking Wake after a single Shell Smash.

Polteageist is a staple on Psychic Terrain offense teams, (rc) which stack numerous setup sweepers to overwhelm opposing teams while they are protected from opposing priority attacks. (fluff, and u'll explain these interactions-especially the protecting from priority-later on anyways) As such, Indeedee is a mandatory teammate; its Psychic Surge protects Polteageist against priority attacks from Kingambit, Meowscarada, (rarely carries sucker) Ice Shard Baxcalibur, Azumarill, and Floatzel while powering up its Stored Power, though it requires both a Shell Smash and a Weak Armor boost to naturally outpace Swift Swim Floatzel. Indeedee can also open up a setup opportunity for Polteageist with Encore or give it a second chance to sweep with Healing Wish, although if Polteageist has already used up its Focus Sash it will struggle to set up as reliably a second time even with Healing Wish support. In return, Polteageist can greatly weaken or outright eliminate Unaware walls, sets up against specially-offensive Dragapult variants if its Focus Sash is intact, and can safely utilize Tera Fighting to eliminate Roaring Moon and wear down Ting-Lu, which allows Armarouge to sweep. Hazard control is extremely important for Psychic Terrain teams, as both Polteageist and Armarouge (not wrong but i'd rather the analysis focuses more on teapot instead of psyspam as a whole. we'll have another hazard control mention on armarouge analysis anyways) greatly prefer keeping its their Focus Sashes available until they are it's ready to begin sweeping. Eject Pack Great Tusk provides both Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin support and can safely get Polteageist in by activating its Eject Pack with a strong Headlong Rush or Close Combat. (mention how tusk also helps switch into and threaten the dark types) Magic Bounce Hatterene naturally deters entry hazards, spreads Paralysis with Nuzzle, can give Polteageist another chance to sweep with Healing Wish support, and can safely pivot Polteageist in against something it threatens (such as?) thanks to Eject Button, giving it much easier setup opportunities. Setup sweepers like Volcarona, Dragon Dance Dragapult, and Dragon Dance Baxcalibur appreciate both Psychic Terrain's ability to block priority and (this is more of an indeedee thing instead of teapot thing) Polteageist's ability to break past Unaware walls with Stored Power. Volcarona can outright eliminate Steel-types like Corviknight, (rc) it is no longer threatened by Kingambit's Sucker Punch thanks to Psychic Terrain support, (again, more of an indeedee x volcarona thing) and is no longer forced to run specific Tera types to deal with Clodsire or Toxapex, (reword this to instead say how teapot helps threaten pex and clod, since volc in psyspam can still be 'forced' to run tera psychic + psychic to deal with them) while Dragapult and Baxcalibur can use their multi-hit attacks to threaten opposing Psychic Terrain teams and appreciate Polteageist's ability to wear down opposing Steel-types for them.

All implemented! I made one very slight change from (just mentioned the Stored Power boost from Weak Armor before listing the threats +4 Polteageist outpaces since there was a weird formatting thing going on here on my end), but otherwise all changes were made verbatim.

And with that, Polteageist is now done! Thank you, everyone!
