[OVERVIEW]

Water
========

With its ability Unaware coupled with its decent physical bulk and reliable recovery, Quagsire is able to check a variety of setup sweepers such as Mega Scizor, Bisharp, and Mega Charizard X specifically for stall Water teams. Quagsire's Ground typing allows it to serve as an Electric immunity, thereby checking threatening Pokemon such as Zeraora, Magnezone, and Alolan Golem. However, its Ground typing also compounds its weakness to Grass-type moves. Because of this, it cannot check Grass-type setup sweepers such as Tapu Bulu, Breloom, and Celebi. Furthermore, despite having decent physical bulk, Quagsire's lackluster special bulk makes it unable to consistently check special setup sweepers such as Volcarona, Latios, and Mew. Quagsire is outclassed by other Electric immunities outside of stall teams, namely Swampert, which can set Stealth Rock, and Gastrodon with its fantastic special bulk, which can check big threats such as Choice Specs Tapu Koko and Kyurem-B for the team.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Scald has a chance to burn, which is particularly useful for crippling physical attackers such as Mega Gallade and Mega Scizor, allowing Quagsire to wall them more easily. Earthquake hits Electric-type Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Magnezone, and Alolan Raichu for super effective damage. Protect is extremely good on stall Water for scouting attacks, racking up Toxic damage, and giving Quagsire more Leftovers recovery; it also helps keep Quagsire out of range of Mega Gallade's Close Combat and Mega Pinsir's Return. Recover is Quagsire's form of reliable recovery and keeps it healthy throughout a battle. Toxic puts opposing walls, such as Porygon2, Mantine, and Rotom-W, on timers. Counter can be used over Toxic in order to surprise physical wallbreakers such as Choice Band Dragonite that Quagsire usually would not be able to handle.

Set Details
========

Maximum Defense investment along with an Impish nature allows Quagsire to switch into and check physical attackers such as Landorus-T, Choice Band Zeraora, and Mega Scizor with ease. It also minimizes the chances of Mega Gallade and Mega Pinsir 2HKOing Quagsire. Leftovers provides Quagsire with passive recovery and prevents it from easily being worn down throughout the battle. Unaware allows Quagsire to check threatening setup sweepers such as Zeraora, Dragonite, Landorus-T, and Bisharp.

Usage Tips
========

Protect should be used to scout for attacks, which is especially useful against Choice-locked Pokemon such as Tapu Koko and Latios. It should also be used to regain health using Leftovers and rack up Toxic damage. Quagsire should be preserved in order to check setup sweepers that threaten your team, such as Dragonite, Azumarill, and Bisharp. Recover should be used constantly in order to keep Quagsire healthy so it can keep on switching into physical and Electric-type Pokemon. Quagsire should generally prioritize keeping itself healthy over spreading status. Try to avoid status conditions, particularly poison, as they hinders Quagsire's ability to check setup sweepers by putting it on a timer. With that being said, if Quagsire does happen to get afflicted with poison, try to look for opportunities to use Heal Bell with Lanturn in order to cure its status and keep it healthy. Try to use Toxic liberally in order to catch Quagsire's checks and counters such as Hydreigon and Breloom off guard in case they switch in. This makes it a lot easier to wear down said checks and counters over time through switching. Try to remove entry hazards using Defog before Quagsire is sent out, especially if Toxic Spikes and Spikes are set, as the former will make checking setup sweepers extremely hard, while the latter makes switching directly into Pokemon that Quagsire is supposed to check difficult. In the Electric matchup, Quagsire should try to scout which Pokemon is carrying Grass Knot in order to prevent itself from getting unnecessarily knocked out. As Quagsire can typically beat Alolan Raichu without Grass Knot, it is a good switch-in to a large portion of Electric-types, which is valuable in the matchup. Against teams with Choice Band Victini, try to keep Quagsire healthy, as Quagsire is one of the few Pokemon on stall Water teams that counters it.

Team Options
========

The entirety of stall Water teams appreciate Quagsire's ability to defensively check setup sweepers such as Zeraora, Azumarill, Bisharp, and Mega Scizor. Quagsire appreciates Toxapex as a blanket defensive check and is able to switch into Grass-type Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Breloom while also being able to set up and remove Toxic Spikes and use Haze to remove boosts from setup sweepers Quagsire can't check such as Tapu Bulu, which it can threaten with Sludge Bomb. Lanturn is a great secondary Electric immunity due to Volt Absorb and its high Special Defense, allowing it to switch into strong Electric-type special attackers that otherwise threaten Quagsire like Choice Specs Tapu Koko and Grass Knot Alolan Raichu. Quagsire also appreciates its Heal Bell support that cures status conditions that wear it down, such as poison. Azumarill is able to switch into, trap, and beat threatening Grass-type setup sweepers such as Swords Dance Breloom and Tapu Bulu because of its ability in Sap Sipper. Mantine's special bulk and Flying typing allow it to switch into and check special attackers that Quagsire struggles with such as Landorus, Mega Charizard Y, and Celebi. Quagsire also appreciates Mantine's ability to remove entry hazards that cripple it upon switching in, such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes, using Defog. Similar to Mantine, Empoleon's special bulk and Steel typing also allow it to switch into special attackers that threaten Quagsire such as Mega Venusaur and Latios while being able to remove entry hazards using Defog. It can also check Calm Mind Mega Latias with Roar for Quagsire. Alomomola can use its much higher base HP to pass huge Wishes to Quagsire to support it if it ever gets worn down. Alomomola can also check special attackers using Mirror Coat and use Knock Off to hamper recovery by removing Leftovers and scout potentially dangerous attacks using Protect for Quagsire. Mega Slowbro's phenomenal Defense stat allows it to check physical wallbreakers that Quagsire is unable to check such as Choice Band Dragonite and Diggersby. Slowking is able to switch into a variety of special attackers such as Latios and Keldeo for Quagsire. It is also able to check Kommo-o and Mew, setup sweepers that Quagsire cannot check, with Dragon Tail.

Rocky Helmet can be used over Leftovers in order to chip contact move users down, but Leftovers's passive recovery is generally preferred. In addition, Rocky Helmet should not be used with Protect because Protect provides more passive recovery as one of its main merits. Curse and Waterfall can be used over Toxic and Scald in order to let Quagsire serve as a slow wincon, making it ridiculously hard for all physical attackersoutside of Grass-type Pokemon to beat.

**Grass-types**: Grass-type Pokemon such as Tapu Bulu, Mega Venusaur, Breloom, and Celebi all knock Quagsire out with ease using their STAB Grass-type attacks.

**Special Attackers** Due to its low special bulk, Quagsire struggles to take hits from common special attackers such as Keldeo, Latios, Mega Diancie, and Landorus.

**Wallbreakers** Various wallbreakers such as Choice Band Dragonite and Choice Band Diggersby all threaten Quagsire with their strong attacks. However, physical wallbreakers need to be wary of being burnt by Scald.

**Toxic** Being badly poisoned hinders Quagsire's ability to check physical setup sweepers consistently, as it is now forced to switch out to prevent itself from being worn down.

**Taunt** Taunt users such as Gliscor, Hydreigon, and Mew are able to break through Quagsire by disabling its recovery and status moves and slowly wearing it down.

[OVERVIEW]

Water
========

* With it’s ability, Unaware, coupled with its decent physical bulk, Quagsire is able to check a variety of setup sweepers such as Mega Scizor, Bisharp, and Mega Charizard X only for slower stall Water teams.
- add reliable recovery as a main reason its able to pull this off so well. also i put only just to emphasize its only use is on stall water

* Quagsire's Ground typing allows it to serve as an Electric immunity, along with the ability to check threatening Electric-type Pokemon such as Zeraora, Magnezone and Zapdos.

* Spreads status

* However, its Ground typing also capitalizes on its weakness to Grass moves. Because of this, it is forced out by common Grass-type Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Celebi, and is unable to check a huge very threatening setup sweeper to Water teams in Swords Dance Tapu Bulu.
* Despite having decent physical bulk, Quagsire's lackluster special bulk makes it unable to consistently check and switch into common special attackers such as Nidoking, Mega Diancie, and Hydreigon.
* Quagsire faces heavy competition with other Electric immunities outside of stall teams, namely Swampert, because of its ability set Stealth Rock, and Gastrodon with its fantastic special bulk, allowing it to check big threats such as Choice Specs Tapu Koko and Kyurem-B for the team.
- it really does not face any competition on stall teams due to the fact unaware is just so god damn important and Pyukumuku is not used so this rlly is the only unaware mon for the type

switched place of recover/toxic, reason check moves section. reason i do impish>relaxed is bz scald isnt meant to do damage, just burn, so having tht tiny bit of extra speed is better

Moves
========

* Scald is a weak attack that has a chance to Burn, which is particularly useful for crippling physical attackers.
- dont need to mention that its a weak attack just talk abt its ability to burn physical attackers allowing it to wall them easier

* Earthquake hits Electric and Poison-type Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Magnezone, Alolan Muk, and Nihilego for super effective damage.
- wouldnt use alolan muk as an example bz it would prefer to not have its item removed with Knock Off

* Toxic puts opposing Pokemon, namely walls such as Porygon2, Mantine, and Rotom-W on timers.
* Recover is Quagsire's form of reliable recovery and keeps it healthy throughout a battle.
* Counter this would be used over toxic

Set Details
========

* Maximum Defense investments along with an Impish Relaxed nature allows Quagsire to switch into and check physical attackers such as Landorus-Therian, Choice Scarf Excadrill, and Mega Scizor with ease.
* Leftovers provides Quagsire with passive recovery, and prevents it from easily being worn down throughout the battle.
* Unaware allows Quagsire to check threatening setup sweepers such as Zeraora, Dragonite, Landorus-T, and Bisharp.

Usage Tips
========

* Quagsire should be preserved in order to check setup sweepers such as Dragonite, Azumarill, and Bisharp that threaten your team. It should avoid being sent out in place of other teammates and potentially knocked out or worn down to the point where it can't check said setup sweepers effectively.
- rephrase the second sentence

* Recover should be used constantly in order to keep Quagsire from being worn down.
- talk about how this is important as its vital for it to be able to continually switch into physical attackers and electric pokemon. moved this up here

* Try to avoid status conditions, namely Poison as it hinders Quagsire's ability to check setup sweepers by putting it on a timer. With that being said, if Quagsire does happen to get afflicted with Poison, try to look for opportunities to use Heal Bell in order to cure its status and keep it healthy.
* Try to use Toxic liberaly in order to catch Quagsire's checks and counters such as x off guard in case they switch in. This makes it a lot easier to wear down said checks and counters over time through switching.
* Try to remove hazards using Defog before Quagsire is sent out, namely Toxic Spikes and Spikes as the former will put Quagsire on a timer while the latter will make switching in comfortably harder for Quagsire to achieve.

Team Options
========

* The entire Water team appreciates Quagsire's ability to defensively check setup sweepers such as Zeraora, Azumarill, Bisharp, and Mega Scizor.
* Quagsire appreciates Toxapex as a defensive partner because it is capable of switching into Grass-type Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Tapu Bulu, the latter of which it can threaten with Sludge Bomb. Its phenomenal bulk also allows it to act as a blanket check to a variety of Pokemon in the metagame, and is also able to remove Toxic Spikes.
- toxapex can also set tspikes and haze away boosts for quagsire

* Lanturn's good special bulk and ability in Volt Absorb allows it to switch into Electric-type Pokemon such as Choice Specs Tapu Koko and Alolan Raichu which Quagsire can't handle comfortably because of its low Special Defense. Quagsire also appreciates its Heal Bell support that cures status conditions, namely Poison, that wear it down.
* Azumarill is able to switch into, trap, and remove threatening Grass-type Pokemon such as Tapu Bulu and Breloom for Quagsire.
* Mantine's special bulk and Flying typing allows it to switch into and check special attackers that Quagsire struggles with such as Landorus, Mega Charizard Y, and Celebi. Quagsire also appreciates Mantine's ability to remove hazards that cripple it upon switch-in, namely Spikes and Toxic Spikes using Defog.
* Greninja is able to revenge kill faster Pokemon that Quagsire can't check effectively such as Tapu Bulu, Latios, and Hydreigon.
- greninja as fantastic as it is does not belong on stall :psycry:

* Alomomola can support Quagsire using its huge Wish if it ever gets worn down.
- expand out this teammate it can knock off, mirror coat and can scout w/ tect as well.

* Mega Slowbro
* Empoleon

Overview:
- Since Zapdos can carry Toxic (and is often walled by Lanturn anyway), I wouldn't mention it here. Instead, something like Alolan Golem could be nice?
- Spreading status is eh, not the most important thing. Can you tie that in specifically to what Quagsire does? Otherwise, this doesn't really say much. A huge number of Water-types have access to Scald + Toxic.
- I wouldn't worry as much about Mega Venusaur, but definitely worth keeping that Quagsire struggles to wall Grass-type setup sweepers. That's important.
- Again, I would tie the poor special bulk to being unable to check a lot of special setup sweepers. For example, if Volcarona lacks Giga Drain, it'll have either Shattered Psyche or Bug Buzz, both of which can beat Quagsire.

Set:
- I would slash Protect behind Earthquake. Protect is incredibly good on stall Water as it helps with prediction and stalls extra damage from status.

Moves:
- Add Protect here. Worth noting that Protect puts Quagsire out of range for Mega Pinsir and almost always out of Mega Gallade's range.
- Why are Poison-types notable for Earthquake? Electric-types makes sense, but it's unclear why hitting Poison-types is relevant.

Set Details:
- Max physical bulk makes sure even Choice Band Zeraora can't touch Quagsire, which is really important in the Electric matchup. It also minimizes the chance that Mega Pinsir and Mega Gallade, two very powerful setup wallbreakers, 2HKO Quagsire.

Usage Tips:
- Talk about Protect.
- Let's be a bit more specific about hazards. Toxic Spikes means that Quagsire actually doesn't beat a lot of setup sweepers, since that extra 12.5% per turn is extremely relevant even if it doesn't have two layers. The timer stuff isn't really relevant to Quagsire, since it's not intending to stay in for a long time or sweep teams. Similar to what you already say, just call out specifically that Quagsire can't switch directly into Pokemon, as it's put into 2HKO range by Spikes.
- Definitely be even more specific on how Quagsire prioritizes recovery. You already say this, but it should be to the point of healing is often way more important than getting off status.
- Worth pointing out the Electric matchup and making sure to scout which Pokemon has Grass Knot. Non-Grass Knot Alolan Raichu actually almost never beats Quagsire and Protect puts it out of range of Psychic 2HKO altogether. As a result, Quagsire can be a safe switch-in to a large percentage of Electric.
- Also worth giving a highlight to Choice Band Victini, which Quagsire is proudly one of two stall Water Pokemon that wall it. Losing Quagsire against Choice Band Victini can be devastating.

Team Options:
- Mega Latias isn't the greatest example for Toxapex, since Mega Latias actually beats it (eventually) with Stored Power.
- I think giving Azumarill a bit more info is valuable. You should note Sap Sipper, and that it actually beats Swords Dance Breloom and Tapu Bulu, which Toxapex will struggle more against.
- Empoleon with Roar can beat Mega Latias pretty easily. Toxapex can't do that.
- I'd even add Slowking here. Taking on a lot of special attackers is huge, especially Kommo-o.

Other Options:
- Rocky Helmet should not be used with Protect.
- Not only does Curse make Quagsire be able to do some amount of damage, it boosts Quagsire out of range of almost all of the physical threats that could break it (outside of Grass-types).
- Remove Protect

Checks and Counters:
- Latios in Wallbreakers is kinda cheating, since it's a special attacker tbh :P

Good work QC 2/3

See comments in the quote above then QC 3/3. Deletions in red, comments in blue, additions in green. Also would recommend reading through it again before GP since there's a fair amount of grammar/punctuation/readability things you should be able to fix before they take a look at it.

Scald has a chance to Burn, which is particularly useful for crippling physical attackers such as Mega Gallade and Mega Scizor, allowing Quagsire to wall them easier. Earthquake hits Electric-type Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Magnezone, and Alolan Raichu for super effective damage. Protect is extremely good on stall Water for scouting attacks, racking up Toxic damage, and giving Quagsire more Leftovers recovery; (SC) while it also helps keep Quagsire out of range of Mega Gallade's Close Combat and Mega Pinsir's Close Combat and Return, (AC) respectively. Recover is Quagsire's form of reliable recovery and keeps it healthy throughout a battle. Toxic puts opposing Pokemon, namely walls such as Porygon2, Mantine, and Rotom-W on timers. Counter can be used over Toxic in order to surprise physical wallbreakers such as Choice Band Dragonite that Quagsire usually would not be able to handle.

Set Details

Maximum Defense investments along with an Impish nature allows Quagsire to switch into and check physical attackers such as Landorus-Therian, Choice Band Zeraora, and Mega Scizor with ease. It also minimizes the chances of Mega Gallade and Mega Pinsir 2HKOing Quagsire. Leftovers provides Quagsire with passive recovery, (RC) and prevents it from easily being worn down throughout the battle. Unaware allows Quagsire to check threatening setup sweepers such as Zeraora, Dragonite, Landorus-T, and Bisharp.

Usage Tips
========

Protect should be used to scout for attacks, which is especially useful for choice against Choice-locked Pokemon such as Tapu Koko and Latios. It should also be used to regain health using Leftovers and rack up Toxic damage. Quagsire should be preserved in order to check setup sweepers that threaten your team such as Dragonite, Azumarill, and Bisharp. It should rely on its teammates to take attacks it cannot handle. Teammates such as Slowking and Mantine can take stronger special attacks such as Latios's Draco Meteor for Quagsire, while other teammates such as Mega Slowbro can take on physical wallbreakers like Choice Band Diggersby and Dragonite for Quagsire. (Not sure why you're mentioning about Quagsire's ideal teammates under usage tips, this should go under the Team Options section) Recover should be used constantly in order for to keep Quagsire to healthy so it can keep on switching into physical and Electric-type Pokemon by keeping it healthy. Quagsire should generally prioritize keeping itself healthy over getting off status. Try to avoid status conditions, namely poison, (AC) as it hinders Quagsire's ability to check setup sweepers by putting it on a timer. Try to remove entry hazards using Defog before Quagsire is sent out, namely Toxic Spikes and Spikes, (AC) as the former will make checking setup sweepers extremely hard, while the latter makes switching directly into Pokemon that Quagsire is supposed to check difficult.

========

The entirety of stall Water teams appreciates Quagsire's ability to defensively check setup sweepers such as Zeraora, Azumarill, Bisharp, and Mega Scizor. Quagsire appreciates Toxapex as a blanket defensive check and is able to switch into Grass-type Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Breloom, (RC) while also being able to set up and remove Toxic Spikes and use Haze away to remove boosts from setup sweepers Quagsire can't check such as Tapu Bulu, which it can threaten with Sludge Bomb. Lanturn is a great secondary Electric immunity due to Volt Absorb and its high Special Defense, (I assume you meant Special Defense) allowing it to switch into strong Electric-type special attackers that otherwise threaten Quagasire Quagsire like Choice Specs Tapu Koko and Grass Knot Alolan Raichu. Quagsire also appreciates its Heal Bell support that cures status conditions, namely poison, that wear it down. Azumarill is able to switch into, trap, and beat threatening Grass-type setup sweepers such as Swords Dance Breloom and Tapu Bulu because of its ability in Sap Sipper. Mantine's special bulk and Flying typing allows it to switch into and check special attackers that Quagsire struggles with such as Landorus, Mega Charizard Y, and Celebi. Quagsire also appreciates Mantine's ability to remove entry hazards that cripple it upon switch-in switching in, namely Spikes and Toxic Spikes using Defog. Similar to Mantine, Empoleon's special bulk and Steel typing also allows it to switch into special attackers that threaten Quagsire such as Mega Venusaur and Latios, (RC) while being able to remove entry hazards using Defog. It can also check Calm Mind Mega Latias with Roar for Quagsire. Alomomola can support Quagsire using its huge Wish if it ever gets worn down.

Rocky Helmet can be used over Leftovers in order to chip contact move users, but Leftovers, along with passive recovery, is generally preferred. However, it should not be used for Protect, because Protect prefers the passive recovery as one of its main merits. Curse and Waterfall can be used over Toxic and Scald in order to let Quagsire serve as a slow wincon, making it ridiculously hard for all physical attackers, outside of Grass-type Pokemon, to beat.

**Grass-types**: Grass-type Pokemon such as Tapu Bulu, Mega Venusaur, Breloom, (AC) and Celebi all knock Quagsire out with ease using their STAB Grass-type attacks.

**Toxic** Being badly poisoned hinders Quagsire's ability to check physical setup sweepers consistently, (AC) as it is now forced to switch out to prevent itself from being worn down.

**Taunt** Taunt users such as Gliscor, Hydreigon, (AC) and Mew are able to break through Quagsire by disabling its recovery, (RC) and status moves, (RC) and slowly wearing it down.

[OVERVIEW]

Water
========

With its ability, (RC) Unaware, (RC) coupled with its decent physical bulk and reliable recovery, Quagsire is able to check a variety of setup sweepers such as Mega Scizor, Bisharp, and Mega Charizard X specifically for stall Water teams. Quagsire's Ground typing allows it to serve as an Electric immunity, thereby checking threatening Pokemon such as Zeraora, Magnezone, and Alolan Golem. However, its Ground typing also exaggerates compounds its weakness to Grass-type moves. Quagsire is outclassed by other Electric immunities outside of stall teams, namely Swampert, because of its ability to set which can set Stealth Rock, and Gastrodon with its fantastic special bulk, allowing it to which can check big threats such as Choice Specs Tapu Koko and Kyurem-B for the team.
