[OVERVIEW]

Even if Raticate's nice Speed, decent Attack, and access to Guts all seem like reasons to use it, it is sadly outclassed by Normal-type wallbreakers such as Kangaskhan, Stoutland, Alolan Raticate, and Zangoose. Its mediocre bulk and typing leave it susceptible to Mach Punch, one of the most common priority moves in the tier, as well as faster attackers. It also often lacks the firepower to break through walls like Regirock and Jellicent.

[SET]
name: All-out Attacker
move 1: Facade
move 2: Stomping Tantrum
move 3: Sucker Punch
move 4: U-turn
item: Flame Orb
ability: Guts
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

With this set, Raticate tries to be a wallbreaker thanks to its decent Attack, nice Speed, and access to Guts and Facade. Even with these nice perks, however, it is hopelessly outclassed by numerous Normal-type wallbreakers. Stoutland and Kangaskhan have higher bulk and better movepools, allowing them to do their job more efficiently than Raticate. The only perk it has over them is its access to U-turn, which lets it pivot out of unfavorable situations.

[OVERVIEW]
Even if Raticate's nice speed, decent attack and access to two great abilities in Guts and Hustle all seem like reasons to use it, it is sadly outclassed by numerous Normal-types wallbreakers, notably Kangaskhan, Stoutland and its Alolan counterpart (mention zangoose here too). Its mediocre bulk and typing leave it susceptible to Mach Punch, one of the most common priority move (moves) in the tier and faster attackers, like Lycanroc and Floatzel (don't mention these two, it just makes them sound bad, which they're not) and it often lacks the firepower to get past through walls like Regirock and Jellicent.

[SET COMMENTS]
With this set, Raticate tries to be a wallbreaker thanks to its decent attack, speed and movepool but it is hopelessly outclassed by numerous Normal-types wallbreaker, like Stoutland and Kangaskhan who sport a higher bulk, better ability, higher firepower and movepool, allowing them to do their job more efficiently than Raticate. (mention that its ability to pivot is also what can make it semi-useful)

With this set, Raticate tries to be a wallbreaker thanks to its decent attack, speed and movepool(its mainly the speed+guts facade combo) but it is hopelessly outclassed by numerous Normal-types wallbreaker, like Stoutland and Kangaskhan who sport a higher bulk, better ability, higher firepower and movepool, allowing them to do their job more efficiently than Raticate as its only perk over them (I mean it also has higher Speed)is its acces (access)to U-turn, letting it pivot out of unfavourable (unfavorable)situations.
