“Remember my super cool Rattata? My Rattata is different from regular Rattata. It’s like my Rattata is in the top percentage of rattatas.” -Youngster Joey

QC: 2 / 3 [The avalanches] [OP]
GP: 0 / 2
Overview
########

-Has limited advantages over and ultimately faces a lot of competition from other Normal type attackers such as Aipom, bunnelby, buneary, zizagoon, etc.
-Has to rely on Hustle in order to large amounts of damage, which causes all attacks to lose 20 percent of their initial accuracy.
-Has piss poor bulk
-Susceptible to priority attacks
-When in the right conditions, Rattata can deal good damage
-Manages to distinguish itself with certain advantages within its movepool and slightly faster than most normal type attackers.

Hustle
########
name: Hustle
move 1: Double-edge / Return
move 2: Sucker punch / Crunch
move 3: Flame wheel
move 4: U-turn / Quick attack
ability: Hustle
item: Life orb
EVs: 228 Atk / 76 Def / 180 Spe
nature: Jolly

Moves
========

-Double-edge is Rattata's main attacking move and necessary for picking up all of the OHKOs or 2HKOs it needs.
-Return, while less powerful, doesn't have the side affect of killing one's self from recoil
-Sucker punch is a priority move that only works if the user goes first and is readying an attack, which is important to help Rattata fix its own problems of being revenge killed while also letting it have a move that hits ghost types.
-Crunch hits ghost types without them having attack
-Flame Wheel is Rattata's only move for hitting steel types and OHKO ferroseed after entry damage from Stealth Rock
-Quick attack is another priority move useful for attacking weaker foes in range of the move.
-U-turn maintains offensive momentum and gets chip damage on counters

Set Details
========

-Life orb and Hustle are important to make sure the set manages to deal enough damage towards its opponents; otherwise, there is very little reason to use Rattata.
-EVs are optimized to hit a speed stat of 17, as much attack power as possible, the rest is filled into defense to help take most priority attacks better.

Usage Tips
========

-Rattata should never be switching into an attack, it is simply too frail to ever be able live a hit comfortably and should rely on its teammates for for slower forms of moves of volt switch and u-turn.
-Attacking is only worth it given if there is a good chance of knocking out what is in front of it.
-Rattata is easily worn down by entry hazards, Life Orb recoil especially along side using Double-edge so keeping it alive and healthy before it knocks itself out is important.

Team Options
========

-Entry Hazards are useful for picking up K0's that Rattata normally wouldn't; Archen further is distinguished for having a both a usable offensive presence while also being a switch in to fletchling.
-Users of Volt switch conjoined with U-turn such as chinchou, magnemite, larvesta are useful for safely switching into the field without having to take damage.
-Snubbull is notable for being able to switch-in to common fighting types bar croagunk.
-Timburr and Abra can revenge kill setup sweepers
-Users of Knock Off like Timburr, croagunk, Archen, abra lure defensive walls and remove their eviolites

Other Options
########

-Rattata can be used as a baton pass recipient from hone claws torchic; however, darumaka and deino are more suited for such roles.
-Choice scarf allows for better performance towards perform faster opponents, but misses out on a lot of power that it normally wouldn't
-Wild Charge can be used to hit Archen, Frillish, and omanyte.
-Zen Headbutt hits fighting types harder, but largely unnecessary because STAB normal type attacks already does this well enough.
-Iron tail is the only move that Rattata can use to use against rock type pokemon, but has a staggering 60% accuracy when Hustle is applied.
-Guts may seem like a good option, but doesn't offer enough advantages that other attackers with guts could.

Checks & Counters
########

**Revenge killers**: Pokemon with naturally higher speed stats and users of priority moves can easily take advantage of Rattata's non existant bulk and do large amounts of damage, if not outright K0-ing it.

**Rock type pokemon**: Archen, onix, tirtouga, omanyte, and, dwebble are capable of stopping rattata dead in its tracks as it has no moves to hit these pokemon well enough, the latter three are particularly deadly as they can use it for setup fodder.

**Steel type pokemon**: Pawniard, magnemite, Honedge need to wary of Flame Wheel when switching in or when they're in KO, bust most can be used as a check, being able to take at least one hit; Pawniard can KO with Sucker Punch.

**Fighting types**: Mienfoo, Pancham, timburr, scraggy and, croagunk can all check Rattata but ultimately can't switch in to to live attacks comfortably. Timburr and Croagunk can use a super effective mach punch and vacuum wave respectively.

**Status**: Status, in particular, Paralysis and Burns cause Rattata to lose most of its effectiveness during the course of a battle as the former can hinder its speed/ ability to hit its targets, the ladder cutting its damage output by half, something most sweepers can't handle.

Overview:
In the point where you mention it has poor bulk, also mention that Rattata is extremely susceptible to priority attacks.

Moves:
Slash Return next to Double-Edge. Although Double-Edge secures a few OHKOes that Return doesn't, the recoil damage from it leaves Rattata in revenge-KO range of many priority attacks, such as Croagunk's Vacuum Wave and Timburr's Mach Punch.

Your descriptions of what the moves do are fairly vague and you have not described what Crunch is slashed against Sucker Punch for.

Make sure to point out that Sucker Punch allows for Rattata to hit faster foes as well as Fletchling.

Usage Tips:
These are fairly vague too. Rattata is meant to greatly dent walls for its teammates, longevity isn't the greatest issue. Try to mention that Rattata should not be switched in due to its poor bulk, but rather brought in as a revenge killer or via slow U-turn or Volt Switch.

Team Options:
These are good, but please try and provide examples of Pokemon that perform the roles you've specified. For example, a few Volt Switch / U-turn users include Mienfoo, Chinchou, and Magnemite.

Omanyte is pretty much never used as a hazard setter. Dwebble and Archen are better examples, the latter being able to check Fletchling.

Add a few Knock Off users, as Rattata can KO quite a few more foes once they have lost their Eviolites.

Mention that, when passed a Hone Claws boost plus some Speed boosts from Torchic, Rattata can bypass Hustle's accuracy drop, however, mention that this is better done by other Hustle users such as Deino or Darumaka.

Checks and Counters:
Again, just try and cite specific examples when you mention Pokemon types.

Pretty good effort, man.
VM me if you need any clarification.

Overview: You don't need to specifically list all those moves for Rattata, just say it has advantages in its movepool. Also mention that Rattata is faster than most other normal types.

Moves:
You need to have a space between each move and the slash. Ex: Sucker Punch / Crunch
Double Edge: Why is "it's combination of Hustle + LO" the main reason to use Double Edge? It's pretty much unrelated. Double Edge is used because it's necessary to deal enough damage to where Rattata gets important OHKOs or 2HKOs.
Return: It's also important because using Double Edge will sometimes make you just kill yourself from so much recoil combined with Life Orb.
Crunch: You've only stated what Crunch is, not why its on the set. It lets Rattata hit Ghost-types on the switch, when they may be using a non-attacking move, etc.
Flame Wheel: Specifically mention Ferroseed in what it hits.
U-turn: Your sentence is mostly just fluff that doesn't really tell you anything about U-turn. It's useful for maintaining momentum and weakening checks and counters.

Set Details: Mention why the extra EVs are placed into Defense. (Better take priority moves)

Usage Tips:
You didn't add "but rather brought in as a revenge killer or via slow U-turn or Volt Switch." from The Avalanches' check.
This section is really way too short and needs to be expanded. Add things related to Rattata's poor bulk meaning it should only be attacking when it can get a KO, Rattat can be worn down incredibly fast and it's important to preserve its health when possible, etc.

Team Options:
Don't call Fletchling LC's premier priority attacker, Pawniard has significantly more usage.
Slow users of Volt Switch and U-turn. A fast pivot move does nothing for Rattata.
Generalize the last statement to revenge killers and specifically mention things like Timburr and Abra. Generalize "shell smashing pokemon" to set-up sweepers.
You didn't add any Knock Off users from the previous check.

Other Options: Add a space between this and Team Options.
Mention what exactly the moves do when you add them to this section. Your Wild Charge description doesn't really make sense or contribute anything useful for the reader. For example, Wild Charge is a coverage move for hitting Archen and Frillish specifically and should be described as such.
Add Zen Headbutt to deal additional damage to Fighting-types, but Rattata can already deal massive damage to them.
Add Iron Tail to hit Rock-types but it has terrible accuracy, especially when combined with Hustle.

Checks & Counters:
Change the first point to Revenge Killers to better encompass priority users and adjust the description appropriately.
Mention how Steel-types have to be wary of Flame Wheel. Emphasize Pawniard because it can OHKO Rattata with its priority.
Emphasize Fighting-types can't really switch into Rattata. Add Croagunk's Vacuum Wave along with Timburr's Mach Punch.

I'm going to hold off on giving you 2/4 because this is a lot to implement and you didn't entirely include The Avalanches' previous check.
Feel free to ask if you're confused or need help for anything!

Sucker punch is the only actual niche Rattata has so you should focus on that or the set is a worse Fire Punch Aipom.

imo a better movest would be

Hustle
########
name: Hustle
move 1: Double-Edge / Return
move 2: Sucker Punch / Quick Attack
move 3: Flame wheel
move 4: U-turn
ability: Hustle
item: Life Orb
EVs: 228 Atk / 76 Def / 180 Spe
nature: Jolly

You have an option to choose between either STAB priority or coverage priority. The other moves are pretty necessary to Rattata and its niche

Looks like you've implemented everything I said, but I do agree with fitzy. Specifically mention Sucker Punch in the overview as a reason to use Rattata over other normal-types

Nice job, QC 2/4

After the previous checks, the only thing I really have to say is to specifically mention Abra in the Revenge Killers section of Checks and Counters. Unlike other Pokemon like Diglett, Gastly, or Gothita that can try to revenge kill Rattata, Abra has the Magic Guard + Focus Sash combo, so even with hazards up it can still stop Rattata.
